Fruits and veggies are in better shape (and less in price) than our local chain grocery stores. They have a lot of interesting random items (like jelly fruits!). Their meat options are phenomenal. The people who work there are kind and helpful. My go-to spot to stock up for the week.

Have great food all fresh veg.,fruits. Got to go early for the variety tamales, all gone by evening. Restaurant next door cooks up great dishes. Been going there since all East Chicago stores closed down around 1993. Worth the trip. Will keep going as long they stay in business.

I'm so thankful this place is around. I'm originally from south Chicago and there aren't very many authentic Mexican restaurants or grocery stores around here. This one is my favorite in the areal because of the great, friendly service, the wide variety of Mexican and American goods, fresh meat, and a great produce section. I love this place. 5 out of 5 stars for me!

This place is AMAZING!!! I live in Chesterton IN and there's is not a single Mexican store near me. Thank God I found this place...20 min drive tho....but we'll worth it. Meat is great n the fruit and vegetables are good too. I love it

First time shopping at this store,very clean place,groceries looks fresh and also you can find at this store location,Carnitas,rotisserie chicken, flautas and lots of fresh meat,I do recommend you to stop by and if you need any groceries for the house this is the place to come and if you hungry and want something really good,you can also by food to eat at the spot. Come and check it out I guarantee you'll be back.

This place is great. When I moved to the area(not there anymore) I couldn't find any thing to cook my Puerto Rican food or just certain things I needed that regular grocery stores don't have. Thanks to this place I get to make my own sofrito , buy recao, plantains , and arrachera. The best place that lake station has to offer.
