Hadn't been in years, but visited the other day. It was great! Nice selection of incense, even had the backflow type, not sure of any other place that carries these actually! They also had a little room with what looked like a good amount of vinyl records. Didn't have the time to look through them that visit, guess I need to make another trip. Other than that it was just like I remembered, lots of tie dye, stickers, patches, and general cool stuff. Nice folks, I'll be back.

This store is all things hippie, peace, love and uniqueness. My son insisted we visit this place many moons ago when he saw someone at the public library with a backpack style that he had to have. We've been coming back ever since.

It's always fun to visit because the inventory changes and you can find some really beautiful and unique items. They offer a wide variety of items and I LOVE ❤ the fact that they work with and feature products from various local artists. In fact both of my children have begun a professional relationship with the store and their products are now featured and offered here.

I adore businesses that support the community and are open to giving local artists a platform to be seen and earn money for their creativity. I have to pay them another visit soon. It's A Beautiful Day is appropriately named. You'll have a much more beautiful day after visiting. Go on and experience this little piece of sunshine 🌞! You'll be glad you did.

My partner and I were told that It’s A Beautiful Day sold refurbished turntables and stereo systems, so we stopped by on a whim. We met Erik who was so helpful and helped us pick out the right system for us and even went so far as to show us exactly how we needed to set it up and how everything works. It was a fantastic experience! Thanks again Erik!

The kindest people! A friend suggested I come here to get a refurbished turntable setup and I was not disappointed. The staff was knowledgeable, honest, didn’t push me in any direction/price point, and made sure I knew how to set everything up before sending me home with my “new” set. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. It truly was a beautiful day!

This place is a Kansas City treasure. Little hippie shop that has been the same since I was young. If you are looking for unique clothing, handmade jewelry, hackey sacks, vinyl, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, singing bowls, and other various goodies look no further! The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Have always loved a beautiful day. Lots of selection. Cool items. I got a eye of horus with bells on the end I out on my front door, a lavender amethyst infused room spray and a black with rainbow colored tye dye on this particular visit. ❤

I can't believe this place has been around for about 30 or so years! I was in my 20's when it opened & now almost 60!! Recently I went in looking for something very specific ( Nag Champa oil) and they not only had it ..... but it was cheaper than I usually pay! I must say, it was a very comforting feeling being back in there once again...kind of like an old friend.

The rock n roll and hippie merchandise is so unique. The aromatherapy selection is wonderful. I just adore this store.

I love this place. This was my first visit since covid started and it hadn't changed a bit, unlike the rest of Westport which seems to have mostly rearranged itself. I guess that's what happens when you mostly don't leave your house for 2 years because you're high risk and the people in your part of the country think that wearing masks is so much of an inconvenience to them that you should just stay home. Personally, I really appreciated the sign that said masks were mandatory inside the store. I don't know if they enforce it or not because I always wear mine but it was a nice thought. I got the *cutest* bag while I was there. It's a waist bag or fanny pack or festival bag depending who you ask but it holds my stuff and leaves my hands free. It was only $22! Every single item in this store is so unique. I love it.

This place was recommended to me by of all things, another record store! I was looking for a record player/amp/speaker setup as a gift for my daughters high school graduation. I called and spoke with Fran, who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She even went the extra mile and sent me pictures of the options in my price range so I could decide. The job that they do refurbishing their equipment is top notch , it was packaged nicely when I went to pick it up, and it sound and looks amazing. One of the best customer service experiences of my life. Would recommend this place to anyone. They truly knocked it outta the park.

I discovered this great little store after I called local record stores looking for a stylus. A few months later I was back with a barely functional 1970 turntable, and receiver that needed some love. It got SOOO much love. Eric went above and beyond the repair, basically restoring both, polishing the hood on my player. Replacing lights I didn’t know had burned out in my receiver with LEDs … it’s all hooked up and working perfectly and I’m so excited, and so overwhelmed with how much care was put into this 40 year old hardware. I really think they undercharged me, it was so cheap … I’ll never stop anywhere else for a repair again.

I only regret not buying more. I’ve loved this store for years now. I used to live down the street and work nearby. Sadly I’ve been out the area for a long while. But when I do visit there’s always amazing newbies and classic goodies. I FINALLY stocked up on wardrobe. I got two adult size tye dye shirts. One XL poncho hoodie. Two GROOVY pairs of pants. A small tye dye shirt for my toddler. (Adorable) and a mushroom backpack. And it rang up for less than I expected !!! I was even gifted a free bag. A GORGEOUS bag at that. I should have bought more. They had these cute alien 👽 earrings and I regret not grabbing them. I’ll be back for sure. Me and my adorable toddler. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Cute little store. Very friendly staff. Lots of cool items. From incense to jewelry, clothing to vinyl, nicknacks to crystals they have a great selection of reasonably priced gifts and wears. Closed oddly enough on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I cried when I saw you are still open. Lived in KC in the mid 90s and got the coolest stuff there, my little brother still has the wooden giraffe I got him for Christmas!!! We made some cool crystal necklaces from crystals we mined in Arkansas and the store, had a fire, I wept that this really wildly shaped crystal exploded - but was so glad you were all safe! You have more than a store and you know that, you are precious and it means everything that you exist! Will come by when I get back to KC!!!
