MY Oriental Market

After spending time overseas in Asia, this store brought back so many memories. It's now my go to place for hard to locate ingredients. And all at a good price.

Freshest veggies, large bags of rice and a great owner. For Asian foods it's the place go. Just a great shop.

This is definately an underated hidden gem in chico. So happy there is an asian store, I won't have to travel to sacramento for ingredients when I crave oriental dishes.

I shop here often the staff are amazing and always friendly. They are always helpful and answer questions about their products. If they do t have what you are looking for they try to help find it. Always something new and unique here

I was surprised that this market had everything l was sent to get. Helpful folks since I forgot half of the items I was 😋 tasked to get. Wide assortment of items packed into a small store. Highly recommend for your oriental food fix. Japanese, Chinese and Thai items in stock. Also various fresh veggies available. Still looking for personal chopsticks 🥢. Hate using disposable ones they give you at the restaurant.

This is a fantastic Asian market with fresh produce. The people who run the market are very kind and sweet prices are less expensive than in a traditional market. I especially like the fresh tofu.

My To-Go store! The owners are really nice and sociable. They always sell a variety of food and drinks of the same flavor (brand difference = different taste). I love the fresh veggies and frozen food to the canned aisle! Definitely a place to check out for Hmong items (ointment, skirts, pot/pans) and foods. :)

This is one of the best shopping spots in Chico. Great produce, great prices. They have these buns with a purple filling that are amazing. With the House of Rice gone from downtown this is one of the few places to locally get certain teas and treats. Always a pleasure to shop here.

Amazing papaya salad. Great service. Awesome variety. The guy at the register is the absolute best ( I think he’s the owner), anyone who says differently is an absolute idiot. He treats everyone kindly and is super helpful.

I love it there! They get bahn mi on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays now, so just a heads-up for anyone going there soon – all gone on Saturdays now. Also,be sure to try the tempura seaweed snacks. Delicious!

This family-owned ethnic market has tons of authentic foods at good prices. They have ingredients you can't find elsewhere, and they have imported snacks and drinks that my kids love. The cashier is friendly and engaging. My family enjoys visiting this market.

Amazing hole in the wall shop. Everything you can think of to make Asian dishes. Staff is very helpful and friendly. He showed us where things we need were our first time coming into the shop. Prices are very cheap too!

My son and I shopped here today for ingredients to make our first from-scratch Thai curry paste, and the young man behind the counter was so friendly and helpful! Very good inventory. I will definitely come back to shop again.

With the current pregnancy, I crave fresh foods and spicy foods. Hence papaya salad hits the spot. I have a wonderful husband who buys papaya salad from this place almost every other day. I am just so grateful they make the delicious papaya salad whenever I want and I have a husband who would get it anytime I ask. My favorite Asian store in Chico ♥

Love this sweet Asian Grocery Store. They have a great assortment of noodles, sauces, and spices to cook Vietnamese food, and stir fries. Also love their fresh Asian vegetable section which includes mushrooms, tofu, green leafy produce for soups and stir fries.

I recently moved to Chico from Sacramento. In Sac asian markets have really taken off within the last ten years. Being someone who was raised there though, MNY Oriental market takes me back to when I was a child. When the local asian market was just a small shop that was crammed with amazing ingredients that are hard to find and amazingly priced.
Its nostalgic but definitely a positive outlook on this place. I hope they can grow and expand in the future.
With that said... The selection at this place is incomparable to others when you are looking for asian ingredients in the area. The people who run this place are knowledgeable and always willing to help you find a product. So, if you're in the area and want to find some amazing ingredients at good prices, definitely stop by.

So much stuff to choose from, almost overwhelming. A small store with tons of choices to pick from. Friendly people.
