Safeway

Safeway has always been one of my favorite stores. They hold a special place in my heart from an event I had in childhood. I wanted to comment on this because Safeway has always been labeled s a expensive story but the last couple times I went there, there coupons on the app made it cheaper than the leading grocery stores in the community.

Okay, I’ve been a loyal Safeway customer since I moved here a years and years ago. Their donuts were my go to because of how soft and affordable they were. Especially on Friday’s because of the deal they have on them. For a couple of years their donuts quality went down. They would be extremely dark and flat as if they don’t proof or add yeast at all. This was happening every time I went in for donuts, up until a few months ago, I think they hired someone new because I’ve seen a young man with glasses bring the donuts out, and let me tell you, his donuts look phenomenal. They’re a perfect gold color and fluffy. When you bite into them they’re not dry and it’s so airy. They’re so pretty compared to Walmarts or FoodMax. Every time he brings the donuts out, they look amazing. I know it’s him because last week my son and I went and I had him go get a dozen donuts for me while I shopped around and he said it was the young asian man. I’m glad your donut quality went back up! Have him teach other donut people on how he does it

I meant to do this months ago! There's the particular polish dogs that we love. My husband wanted them for dinner and all the stores that carry them were out. I was pressed for time and decided to call the Tracy Safeway. Nobody was answering the phone. Finally, after many attempts this nice young lady picked up. It was in the floral department. I told her my dilemma. She said she'd go over to the meat department and get what I needed. This angel was named "Arianna." She not only went out of her department, but she held 4 packs of them until I got there! I just want to give honor and recognition to her for taking a stressful situation off my shoulders. Thank you Arianna for treated me with great customer service! ❤ 💐

I like this Safeway because it’s bigger than the Safeway in Manteca and it also has more deli options like the ready to eat Chinese food. They also have more variety and options than other stores and it’s nice and clean as well with excellent customer service. I had a rain check from the Manteca store and the store manager accepted the rain check at his store, I called ahead before heading there to make sure it was ok.

Clean always what ever u want they have except vanilla coffe packs from Starbucks that’s it

Had a stressful day at work so I decided to pick up some flowers during lunch to brighten up my day. Great selection and I forgot the day of the week, but there seemed to be more fresh flowers than usual.

Amazing place! They're open 24 hours, and have bathrooms available to all times, so if you want to do some late night shopping after work or as you're passing by, you can! Come here to pick up anything you need!

I love shopping there but waiting for someone in the sandwich and deli is a long wait. And the soup station is always messy and always out of cups, lids or spoons. Today it was lids and spoons. They never have napkins and a garbage to throw it away at. So if you spill soup on the side of the cup or get on your hands your screwed.

I bought deli sandwiches. Christian has great customer service and makes a good sandwich. Also Patricia G. is a very kind and sweet with customer service, she's very knowledgeable about the entire store. I've know her at the 11th St. store in tracy for 20 Years. I think she should be the manager. All around great person.

My mother lives and dies by the Safeway lol. They have a lot of great prices, the food always seems fresh and the workers are quite nice and knowledgeable. I'm normally in here for a good 30 minutes, just because I'm looking and trying to decide what is the best thing for my dollar. My mom could be in here for much longer though and talks to all of the employees. It's a very clean store.

I always like going to this Safeway Store. I usually get there once a month. The workers there, are always so friendly, & very helpful.
Only sad part about going there. Is that they're always out of my favorite cake. The one with the fresh strawberries on top. Other than that bit of depression, I love the vibes when shopping there.

I love my Safeway. I am seldom disappointed. Today I needed a little help and assistance was cheerfully offered. The store is clean, well laid out, and stocked with a wide array of products. The front entrance is never as nice as the interior and I believe it may give passersby the wrong impression. The prices are not the lowest but the whole experience makes up for it.

The Tracy, CA there was no DMV kiosk...but the people n service was great. Get better Doughnut boxes.

Always convenient... I get out of work between 2 and n 4 am..the only store that's open n on my way home. Also love getting flowers from there making a bouquet and lasts couple weeks

This Safeway location is a really nice one. Polite employees and the management takes their customer service they provide to their shoppers, very seriously and are efficient in doing so. Plus this location also has a gas station which have redeemable fuel discounts available to customers that shop with them when they enter their telephone number.

Always a pleasure, clean, fair prices with club card, and wonderful staff.

My only complaint is that they need a bigger selection of micro craft double, triple IPA's and stout.

They Usually always have what I need and the employees are very helpful and smile which gotta say makes your shopping more enjoyable (because let's face it who "loves" to grocery shop) then when they are rude and asking a question is like asking them to solve a mathematical equation.

Safeway is the best store on the West Side of Tracy. The produce is good-never have I witnessed rotten fruits or veggies out for display, it does not smell in the store even by the meat and fish department, dairy department, or deli/bakery area. I love the quality of meats; however, the available choices are sometimes slim pickings. Now Safeway is $$, but of you take advantage of the Safeway Club card U Rewards and their weekly and monthly sales and $5 Fridays, you could save a lot of money and end up paying the same price as if you shopped at Winco or FoodMaxx ( I ❤ both of these stores, but let's face it...some of their item quality doesn't touch Safeway quality). Now it sounds like a lot of work to take advantage of the savings and rewards, but honestly it's as simple as downloading an app and using it while in store. Just use the built-in barcode scanner and check if your item is on sale...its really that simple. Or browse through the ads within the app and click on the coupons you would like to use and it automatically is applied at check out when you use your member rewards number (which is usually your home or mobile phone number) and the savings are applied. To top it all off, you can still use manufacturer coupons and coupon doublers if you are that crafty with the couponing....I am not...but that is another story. So basically, good quality food product, service is always good, and the place doesn't smell...plus the savings are super easy to use and you get special freebies when you rack up your special rewards points...again another story, but it is a good one. The store is great in all aspects except one , that is the staff don't trust anyone that comes in the store , it seems you have to build a rapport with the Employees or your followed and not trusted it seems as I see them doing it to people all the time , but it's clean and they carry things you have never seen anywhere else .
