South Loop Market - Sheffield Ave

One of my fav breakfast sandwiches in the city. Haven't tried lunch yet. The market itself has quality prepared foods and good selection for its small size, but you pay about 20% more than you would at larger grocers. Convenience costs.

We visited during a recent trip to see family - lovely layout and products etc, but Lisa is the reason for the 5 stars :) she was so friendly, welcoming and such a fantastic credit to the store :) Lisa if you see this you have stuck in our minds and gave us such a warm welcome to Chicago. As a resident of Lincoln Park, South Loop Market is one of the best grocery stores around. I've always had great experiences with variety of products, cleanliness of the store, and AMAZING customer service from the staff, especially Lisa! She and the other floor staff are always friendly, professional, and kind. 10/10 recommendation!

You can't really ask for more in a corner store. Some gems in here: take and bake pizza. Pro tip, get some tomatoes, onions, Italian deli meat (wine area) and put it on the cheese pizza. Heat up your pizza stone first, 18 minutes at 425.

Once you come often enough to find all the nooks, you'll realize that they almost have everything and use the space really well. It's not a full grocery store but you can definitely make entire meals from scratch here, restock your pantry, and some of the products here are surprisingly niche.

Everyone is incredibly nice there, it feels like a real neighborhood store, well, because it is.

Love this place! Everything you could possibly need without the hassle of going to the grocery store. The woman that is always working in the deli is very hospitable and efficient. Slices up my cold cuts in the blink of an eye! A super nice man helped me today and he was just as quick. The people at the register are always very kind too!

The prices are higher than the average (corner stores always are) but the deli service is awesome. Everything I've tried from behind that counter is delicious, seriously. Bonus: they have a great selection of chocolate. Great news for those working nearby and looking for a quick meal! Plus, they give a discount to hospital employees.

I have been to South Loop Market many times to pick up lunch. They are 2 1/2 blocks from the clinic I work at. Address is 2955 N. Sheffield Ave.
Think of S. Loop Market as a very, very upscale 7-ELEVEN. They have every you might need at the last minute and more.
They have breads, cereals, fresh fruits and vegetables. They have a cooler full of soda pop, juices, waters and alcoholic beverages. The have a full service deli.
The best part is the Grill located towards the back of the store.
Choose from made to order breakfast sandwiches, salads, and other delicious sandwiches and wraps. Try the Pattymelt, it's one of the best. My favorite made to order sandwich is the Beef Philly. I've usually ordered the Chicken Philly for a healthier choice. But last week I tried the Beef Philly with everything. It is the best Philly Cheese Steak I have ever had. It was fresh, juicy and each bite melted in my mouth. The Chicken Philly us good, but the Beef Philly is the BEST.

Lisa and the staff at this South Loop Market location are the reason I keep returning! They know each of the locals in the neighborhood and are always so friendly.

Great place to grab some high quality items; especially in the produce area. I am impressed with their tea selection and frozen items as well. My go-to is their homemade guacamole and the donkey chips. I often get a sandwich here as well when I am feeling like a healthy option. If you need something in a pinch, this is your local market!

Great little grocery store with an excellent selection of food, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy snacks. Good beverage selection as well. I've had breakfast there a couple times and recommend the breakfast sandwich!

The Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant is amazing.

They have self-serve Intelligencia Coffee conveniently located between my bus stop and work.

Love this little place! It's on my way home from work and it's always an incredibly clean market. They have a great wine and beer selection, but best of all, they always seem to have exactly what I need for that last dinner ingredient that was forgotten at the supermarket.

Friendly staff! High quality, specialty, organic food selection is great. Good prices on fresh breakfast sandwiches! So happy they open at 6:30 am!

New market opening on 9/20. Carries a selection of snacks fresh produce, frozen food, and alcohol. Better than the average convenience store. Also has a deli for fresh sandwiches/meals. 4th location.

Love, love the staffs. I work across the street and they treat you like family. Fantastic people with great selections of food.

Love this store. It is nice and clean with a huge variety of items. It is very expensive, but they have a lot of unique items I have not seen anywhere else.
