Mariano's

I love Mariano's! The produce department is front and center. They have recently expanded it. The organic produce is not hidden in a small corner like in most grocery stores that I have been to. They look as fresh and inviting as the non-organic produce. Fresh breads and bakery items are in plentiful supply. Groceries are easy to find in well-marked aisles. The prepared foods department in Mariano's is so extensive. There is something for almost everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They provide both manned and self-chekout lines. My one criticism is that the prepared salad does not come with dressing. Who sells a salad and does not include dressing? Otherwise, Mariano's is a good place to shop for groceries.

I can always count on this Mariano’s location to not run out of what I need, and it is easy to find whatever I’m looking for. It’s always so clean and organized. This grocery store offers a wide range of produced products and has a decent salad bar to choose from. The pastries there are really good too. This is awesome, from some of the finest cakes to the best pasties you can get around. Overall, the quality of food there is outstanding. The staff is super helpful and friendly too. It’s easy to get in and out.

It’s great to know my son who has severe food allergies can eat some of the products here - including Katz donuts. I used to order a lot of things online, but I appreciate that Marianos has this accommodation.

Marianos has awesome onion rings. I called and asked if they had onion rings on the hot bar. Logan answered my call and said he would literally make me onion rings and went to check to make sure they had that. He said they didn’t have any ready but he could have them done in a half hour. I told him not to bother, but wow! How awesome is Marianos and how awesome is Logan? I called back just because my mind was so blown and I talked to Abdo and let him know how amazing Logan was.

I’m a huge fan of Mariano’s! This is my first time at this location service in the deli department was awesome! Everything looks fresh store amazing 👌🏽

As with every grocery store, the young front end employees are careless and do the bare minimum when asked. Tenured employees, older hires, and management especially is just a ray of friggin sunshine. Always a pleasure running into someone who seems like they want to be there. Many moons ago I worked there as well and it's really not horrible no matter what department you're in. No employee at Mariano's should make me the customer feel like they don't want to work there. Management makes it seem like they want to go to work. You have questions they have answers. You have concerns they have ways to fix it. You need assistance literally any one of them will happily help you with whatever you need.

The bathroom at Marianos is incredible. The toilet water pressure is amazing, I doubt anything could clog it. The sinks water does not heat up too quick and has a steady flow. The soap is always available and the bathroom itself is always clean. This has to be in the top 5 bathrooms I've ever use and I would almost use it over my own.

The homemade tortilla chips are so good that I literally need to write a review about how much I love them. Stuffed to the brim bags, tasty tasty salt, super crunchy, and not always in stock. Those are sad days. These chips don’t break in dips like other weak willed chips. I’m already craving more of them typing this. The store itself is pretty great too, great meat section

I was reluctant to visit the store as I had a preconceived notion that they were going to be more expensive than Dominick's or Jewel. How time has proven me wrong. Once I visited them it was clear they were priced to sell and beat their competitors, and they're successful.

While I've had a few issues here and there with the store or staff, the management has always been quick to respond and rectify the situation.

I've had employees go above and beyond to find out if they had merchandise in stock. I've visited the store from when it first opens at 6am until when it closes at 10pm and I've never felt rushed or apprehensive about shopping.

The one drawback is the fresh food counter is only open towards the middle of the day and doesn't keep a lot of food on hand towards the evening. I've also not found a menu so it's hit or miss as to what you'll find there on a daily basis. Their pizza is outstanding, but quite expensive too.

Their store brand Roundy's usually is a good value and quality wise is excellent.

Produce is usually very good as well. The store, for the most part, is kept clean and organized. At times in the morning it's a bit hectic as they are still setting up for the day.

The bakery is always great to walk through and smell. The deli is the one drawback, as it's slow.

I came back today and Lee-Ann from the Bakery department demonstrated high quality customer service! She promptly asked if I needed help and offered to write on the cake I was purchasing. She was very polite. I will be definitely be coming back! :) - 2 years ago I came in and received the same great customer service

The rotating soups are SOOO GOOD! I had the best Italian wedding soup from this location.. and the white bean kale.. all of them! Also the fresh squeezed juice is being stocked fresh every time I go in, which is daily on my way to work... they also carry Dad’s root beer for us nostalgic folks! I love this location!

My favorite grocery store in the city! I think they have some of the best prices for organics, and a pretty good selection too. Great floral department (like the mix and match options.) The only rough thing about this store is getting in and out of the parking lot, particularly on weekends. And sometimes they are super crowded, so working my way through the aisles can be a bit of a challenge. I recommend late evening mid-week shopping here. BUT, there is a live piano player on weekends which is pretty shopping and makes this place super classy.

Big, beautiful, busy food store. And why not? Affordable prices and excellent selection. Fresh, reasonably-priced produce and large bakery (including a variety of small quiches $5 each). Delicious handmade sandwiches and baked to order pizza. Salad and soup bars that won't break the bank. Where else can you get Lobster Bisque for just $1.99? or a mini cup of your favorite gelato flavors for a dollar! And all the above is just on the first aisle of the store! Also, Mariano's carries items that Whole Foods is too pretentious to stock - including sugar substitute and national brand names. Add a helpful staff and a live pianist and you've got my kind of supermarket. Beats Dominick's,Trader Joe's, Jewel and "whole paycheck foods," hands down.

This Mariano's is nicer than the nearby Jewel. It's also convenient to park once and visit other Roscoe Square businesses. Service is always pleasant here, but the prices aren't always the best. I love the "all butter chocolate chip cookies" they bake (other flavors are pretty good, too).

Thank you so much to Nancy, Lanita, and Andres! The costumer service was excellent. For the past few days I've had issues redeeming a turkey coupon I received from work. My experience at Walmart was unsettling and embarrassing with how the staff treated me however, marianos had turned it around with their kindness. I called before and spoke to Nancy and she was reassuring. I was able to make my purchases no problems and the Lanita was sweet and understanding.

The best deal on fresh squeezed juice in town and nice selection as well!! The salad/fruit bar and soups are a deal too; much more affordable than Whole Paycheck. I do wish they had ingredient lists on the multiple ingredient items in the salad bar though. Definitely stop in if you haven't great prices and selection. We need more Mariano's in Chicago & longer hours of operation would be nice!!

This is a fantastic well led Mariano's! Ryan and Bob are fantastic store managers. Helpful, friendly and hardworking! The staff are professional and friendly. They have a good team here.

Mariano's has been such a welcome addition to the city. I really don't like Dominic's or Jewel and can't afford to go to Whole Foods all the time. I like trader joe's but they don't have everything I need. Most Mariano's have a nice open layout with great produce, fresh squeezed juices at a reasonable price and all the food I need or want. All while having a helpful staff and keeping the prices in check. I'm a big fan.

Shout out to Ben at the Raw meat and seafood department. It's always refreshing to see a person as positive, cheerful, humorous, helpful, and knowledgeable as he is! It felt as we knew each other from way back and that we were just a couple of childhood buddies having a conversation. Ben knew his cuts of meat and which seasonings will pair well with the items I needed grilled and saved me a good ten minutes with decision making. Great people skills and exceptional customer service.
