Check out Dan’s candies - a Joliet staple! They are the second longest-running business in Joliet (doors opened in 1919 🤯)! Dan's Homemade Candies has a variety of sweets that will satisfy any craving. Our favorite is their Fall caramel apples; they are so cute & delicious!

This is a great chocolate shop. They have all types of delicious chocolate, just like Fannie May. You can pick your own assortments or purchase pre-made assortments. Good caramel corn too. Great local business.

I love their caramel apples, dipped in chocolate. Especially the dark chocolate with pecans. They're sizable - I was only able to eat half an apple at a time. The caramel covered in chocolate made them a rich dessert. Definitely my favorite - and I have had A LOT of caramel apples in my life.

A Joliet staple. Support small local businesses! This candy is so much better than the chocolates you get mass produced in the stores. Also don’t forget to stop in during the fall for they’re amazing caramel apples. When the kids go back to school is when they start and the last day is usually Halloween. Highly recommend this place!

I love this store! The choices for candy or sweet treats are great. The store offers individually small items to large multiple item choices.

Dan's Homemade Candies is the only place I will ever by my candy from! It is delicious!! Big selection to choose from. Very friendly staff. And if your not sure about a flavor they will let you sample a piece or two. High quality chocolate. The fudge is fresh and not hard. The truffles are truly wonderful and fresh with many different types to choose from!! If I could give ten stars I would!!!

Dan's Candy is a go to stop on our stay in Crest Hill from Florida. It's reminiscent of years gone by. My dad always bought the candy for my mom on special occasions. Now, I bring back these delicious chocolates home to my family. The homemade caramels are to die for!

Just stopped here today. !! Looked up for a special treat for a lovely couple who takes very good care of their server. Time to reward them for a turn of the tables.

First caramel apples of the year!!! My mom and dad got these every year from the time we were little. They use to bring them home in a box because there was 7 of us. I always stop the first week they are out and now my grandchildren get them!! I live 45 minutes away a d last year I stopped 3x in 1 week. 😂I’m holding the baby that had her 1st lick of your caramel and 6 yrs later, she’s the one in the white shirt getting them every year only eatting them now!!

The chocolate is a must and the Malt balls are my personal favorite. Great friendly people here and awesome service. Also have diabetic candy huge plus for people that can really intake that much sugar.

THE BEST caramel apples and chocolate covered caramel apples I’ve ever had. I lived in Joliet till I was 29. I live in Missouri now, and have for 22 years. I FINALLY had my 1st Dans caramel apple. OMG. Worth the wait...and wish I had more. The people were so friendly, the store was like an old fashioned candy store.
I see what all the hype was about now. ❤

Have loved this place for decades. A yearly treat of chocolate covered caramel apples is always a welcome event. There are many other tasty confections available as well. Can't say enough good praises about this place!
