Kaelin's Market

This is the best Market in all East County!!! We have been shopping here since my daughter was a baby, now she is an adult. Kaelins has been in the Community since forever. I love the diversity, culture and love you feel when you enter the store. Enter and on the one side is delicious Middle Eastern food, the Tacos..., ready to eat Mexican food, fresh produce, fresh cheese, Pandulce and a large Meat Carneceria.... This place is EXCELLENT, Awesome and the Best. I Highly Recommend this place 😃

Cultured grocery store. They have a little bit of everything. Some really good prices and some high prices. We go for certain things and love it. Never too busy. Friendly employees. Fresh fruits and veggies. Good hot foods. Meat at a fair price that taste good. Also plenty of parking and never a backup of traffic in the area.

Their meat department is awesome! Great Tamales n hot food. Oh, and their desserts are the best everything is great quality. I'm never disappointed.

What a gem! Moved here from Arizona and was looking for a super mercado like the ones we had in Yuma. Everything was awesome here. Even sat down and had a couple of tacos at a great price! The store is very clean and the staff is very polite. Will definitely be back!

This place is on the best in San Diego, delicious food, always fresh made. At soon you get inside the store, you will see everything clean and organized. They are always there to help you. Amazing variety of grocery, produce, meat, Middle East food.

Always love going to Kaelins. The authentic Mexican food and vegetables are great. Need a piñata they have them. Shop there at least twice a week. My favorites are the already cooked carnitas, fresh tortillas, wonderful selection of salsas, cheese and chips.

Kaelins has been the east county go to pretty much since I was a kid. Between the carne and Pollo in the butcher dept ( along w sooo many more amazing meats) to the salsa/ceviche/cheese bar and the hot food they serve too, you can get whatever you need and it will be amazing. Their fresh made tortillas and chips are always perfect too. Go try it out!!! You won't be sorry

Been coming here since I was a kid dang covid made there prices go up but still the best meat for emergency taco Tuesday and the staff is quick to give suggestions

The already cooked foods, both Mexican foods and Middle Eastern are excellent. The refried beans and carmitas especially.

Great price and quality on produce, bakery and authentic goods. Some of the produce had a whole new level of flavor (and heat). They must buy from local farms because the normal grocery store fruit/veggies/etc don't taste like Kaelin's. Coming to Kaelin's once has changed my entire shopping plans going forward. Some things will obviously match price and selection from other stores. Awesome!

Great pricing on produce. Deli and bakery are phenomenal. Salsa/crema bar is cool. Meat dept is okay since youre there already. Bagged spices are plentiful and cheap and when they throw together a discount pile of hand written prices on numerous random items youre sure to find some good deals. Everything else in the store is horribly over priced. Dairy? Ugh... eggs??? Fogitaboutit.... condiments? Cereal? Soda??? Puhleeze... but i shop here weekly and love it

The attendant at the hot food was very attentive. Food had a great taste. Tortillas are delicious.

Kaelin's is our local market for "Us" -cost concious shoppers!! They have the proper Covid Safety Protocols implemented, social distancing and customers all required to wear a mask while inside the store. Nothing fancy here- Their selection of veggies ( wc is my main reason of going there) is well stocked & very reasonably priced (about $2.00 less than the big guys!! Very true!!) and fresh! A variety of ethnic Mexican & Middle Eastern fare and ingredients are also in their shelves, from a good selection of fresh & dried chilis to different types of Basmati rice ( wc i definitely stock up on in my pantry), olive oils, etc. Meat dept. is great w ready to bbq Mexican spice -marinated chicken, pork or beef - tastes great & inexpensive, & easy. The "Take-Out" counter is my favorite too, especially when I'm craving for delicious home-made style "Carnitas Tacos"- i get the combo meal -roasted pork, beans, rice, fresh corn tortillas, salsas, so much food good for 2 ppl- all for $9.00!! There's also a "Taco Shop" where u can get a quick bite of -$1.50 Tacos!!! This is a -No Frills, very casual, back to basics type place. It's on my shopping itinerary every week, thats for sure!

Been going here for a couple years now. The food is great. The Chile Relleno is my favorite. They also have a great little bakery. And my boyfriend bought me a ring there from the jeweler. He customized it and everything. Very impressed.
