Ace Hardware

This place is amazing! Awesome meat/ seafood counter, lots of groceries, a Peets coffee (with seating), and oh yes, they have hardware too. Even better, real hardware, not the cheap stuff you find at other places.

Open until 9pm on Sunday! All other hardware stores were already closed Sunday night at 8pm. I drove from San Mateo to Ace in san Bruno. Ace had what I needed urgently, I got in with 4 minutes before closing. The store team are awesome.

I was pleasantly shocked for the fact that this Ace is also a full grocery store.

Need to give applause to the customer service.
I called the Ace to ask for an extremely small hex key, which unfortunately Ace didn’t have at the time. This key is not easy to be found on physical retails anyhow. Although, the Ace guy was helpful and spending time checking to see the item availability. He even suggested on some ideas where I should be able to find it! Even though, I didn’t buy anything at this time, but I would love to visit Ace if I have a chance again. It’s important to help support local business. And his service is the reason why brick&mortar can outperform online retail!

It's a little strange that a hardware store is inside a supermarket. But it works. It's just big enough to stock common household parts to pick up while grocery shopping. They also stock soda stream carbonators.

ACE might not always be the cheapest place, but I like their customer service. If you have an older car, their car keys are $5+ vs. any of the automated ones in Safeway or Lowes which charge $22-$48. There is a time and place for ACE. The guy cutting the keys did it manually and did a great job. If it doesn't work, they'll refund you.

They have a carpet of items and is the right size you don't get lost or walk for hours.

This Ace location may be small but it is mighty. Staff is super helpful! James can fix anything. They always have a solution to my household challenge.

What can I say, it's an Ace Hardware. Good selection, well organized. It's bigger than some, even with the unusual location.

It's located in Molly Stones and the gentleman that helped me was very kind and helpful. It's a very clean place with a great staff.
