If Skillman Home Depot ever goes to war I will put on an orange apron and ride at dawn with them. I love this Home Depot (specifically the garden department) so much it’s unhealthy and I should probably talk to a therapist. I had the BEST interaction today. I was looking at a clearance patio table and a worker shouted across the store, “How much is that?” I thought, ‘It beats me I don’t work here’ and he shouted, “look at the yellow tag” and I shouted back “29” and he shouted, “how much are you willing to pay?” Life has really not prepared me for this situation at 8 am on a Sunday and I thought the correct answer was “29”. I was wrong. He chirped back, “Will you take it for 20? I’ve got five Christmas trucks coming in this week and we need the summer stuff cleared out.” We bantered back and forth a few times and he was having so much fun and you could tell he loved The Depot even more than I do. Long story short I now have a table I didn’t really want, but it’s suddenly my favorite little blue table. I will always look at it and think about what exceptional customer service looks like; deviating from the script of mundane interactions and taking a moment to have a special and fun interaction with a customer while accomplishing the goal. It made my weekend an absolute delight. Home Depot already gets a chunk of each pay-check I get, but do I need to re-write my will and give them my first born? At this point we’re basically family. Thank you Home Depot for being yourself. Also, PS, I hate orange - so that orange apron I’ll wear for you is really saying something.

I’ve been using this Home Depot for a few years and Bernard and Henry are such a treat! They are so helpful, mindful, and knowledgeable. They are definitely an asset to this location. It’s nice going into a hardware store as a woman and not feeling like I’m given the run around. A few good laughs make it even more enjoyable to run across them. Thank you guys so much!

I had been looking for a chrome towel hook for my bathroom . The 1st hook I ordered from Home Depot online and had delivered to my home was way too small, so I ordered a second style, also online, and had it delivered to this location on Skillman. I received both an email and a text from Home Depot when my product arrived to the store. I was also planning on returning the first hook at the same time. I went to customer service as I was unsure how to find the locker they said my product was in. Nereo was the customer service associate who assisted me and he knew just what to do first returning my 1st item and then retrieving my second item from the locker. He was so friendly and professional and I was super pleased with the chrome hook too as it was exactly what I was looking for. Great customer service all around.

They have always had what I was looking for. Stand around too long and someone is going to ask you if you need help. I really like this store.

The garden center manager is incredibly friendly and helpful. Stephan is a wealth of knowledge if you have any questions while you're shopping.

Needed to grab a few household items. Was able to find what I was looking for.

Never did I think I would leave a review for the Home Depot as it’s usually always pretty much the same every time I go but Stephen the manager at the garden center was SO nice and helpful! He went above and beyond to help me pick out some plants and really gave me a lot of great education.

A good Home Depot they have a separate home and garden section but good on the whole

Went to return a lock set that cost $182.00 + only to find out they only give you $0.01 cents for the return even if you paid with credit card. Then after I noticed the charge they had trouble finding the lock set. It was very frustrating but thankfully a great Home Depot employee named JR who wore cowboy boots and a ball cap saved the day. Home Depot should be thankful to have an employee like HIM. This is my new spot for home repair stuff. Thanks again JR

I am a Pro Rewards Elite, so I know my Home Depot… And I really like this location, the staff is friendly, helpful and the product is diverse. Props to Leslie Moore in the Kitchen & Bath Design department, especially, as she facilities a qualified and coordinated appliance order with ease. Buying cabinets correctly is a challenge, and there is no doubt she will deliver in spades.

I'm in the Skillman Home Depot so often, I should just have my mail sent there! Great store. This last time buying a new toilet seat and the clerk said just the right words that I picked out the correct one and installed it myself in about five minutes. I always get that kind of help. I especially like this store because of their large plant and pavestone yards with almost too many selections. Everything you need for normal and even unusual home and yard care.

Have whatever you need great services nice employees

Very clean and well stocked Home Depot with some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered at a home improvement store. They also have great plexiglass separation at the registers to keep people safe during COVID-19, and all staff wearing masks and staying reasonably socially distanced. Whoever manages this HD location should be very proud of the work that they and their staff are doing. I got a garbage disposal at a very reasonable price, as well as some competitively priced flashlights for myself and the kids. Also, there’s a QuickTrip nearby (if you’re looking for a gas station with some of the best prices in Dallas), and various fast food options (e.g., Pizza Patron, Dairy Queen, Whataburger, Chick-fil-A, Cece’s pizza, MacArthur’s Deli).

I visited this Home Depot Sunday evening hoping to find a replacement light bulb for my apartment. I was having a hard time finding this specific bulb and did not have any luck finding it elsewhere. I wanted to write a review to thank the gentleman who helped me find this specific light bulb again for being such a huge help! (unfortunately I did not catch his name, but he was an older gentleman and he is the specialist for all lighting questions) I was appreciative that all the staff that I interacted with was very nice and took an interest in helping me quickly. The store itself is also kept up very clean. I also love that they have the self-checkout option. I recommend this Home Depot, as the people working here are very polite and know what they are doing!

Had a great good experience. Price adjustment from the web would not go thru. Head cashier couldn't do it and said I had to return and rebuy. Asked for MOD and they fixed it by giving me the difference on what I was purchasing that day. Don't ever feel bad about asking for a manager. They will take care of silly things technical problems one way or another. Thanks!!

In-store pickup of online orders was fast, and the cashier was very pleasant.

I recently made a trip to my local Home Depot store to get some magnets for my boss's new venue. I had no idea you could go buy magnets at the store, I guess I just never thought about it. Lol. I asked a young man at the front where I could find them and he was very helpful. The young man that checked me out was also very helpful. Great job guys!

A weekend busy store, staff are proactive and helpful.

On 5/31/22 I visited this store looking for an item which I could not find. However, I saw an employee whose name is Mr Molla. I explained to Mr Molla in details as to what I needed. Mr Molla checked his hand held device and said : I am sorry sir, we do not carry such an item. Then he added by saying : I’ll try to find it in another store of ours. While he was checking, I looked left and right hoping to see something similar to what I need, but no luck. Then the gentleman offered me some ideas at which point I said : I need to go home and check it out. I did, and expanded my imagination and decided I will go by Mr Molla’s idea.
Wow, what an excellent service. I went to his boss and requested to write to the boss of the store a complementary note about Mr Molla. In brief, such a excellent service is rarely found in these days. The gentleman went out of his way to help me and make me satisfied with my experience in the Home Depot. In my younger days, I used to work with the public. In these tough days when I see such an employee with excellent service, we must recognize their efforts.
