Sahara Fine Foods

We spontaneously wanted to check out Sahara Fine Foods & we’re so glad we did.

First, you can tell everything is super authentic. I felt like I found a hidden gem for middle eastern groceries + hookah products you can’t find casually.

Second, Mr. Mike or Mr. Mekawi (I believe his name is) was SO kind. He gave good recommendations & even gave us extra grape leaves + a small container for the salad/picked veggie bar since it was our first time. We were really really happy with his service. Like seriously, what an extremely kind man.

Lastly, the grape leaves, shish tawook, gyro & pickled veggies + olives were really good & tasted authentic. We will definitely be back & are happy to have found this store.

Great prices, friendly staff. Fresh pita bread always at hand.

Apart from traditional middle east and Egyptian products, thus store makes the best grilled fish on the Egyptian style. Just bring your favorite fish, give it to Mohsen and then you will enjoy the best taste ever. I will repeat the experience for sure.

I have been going to this store for over 14 years. Feels like home every time I step foot in the door. Mohsen is always welcoming and has the best food.

I always leave this store with a huge smile on my face. Mr.Nagy and Mr.Mohsen are really friendly and always providing me service with a smile. I always go there to get my Egyptian groceries and I’m never disappointed. Things are always in stock. Sometimes I call ahead to order things to pick up if I have my kids with me and they always get it right. Price is reasonable. This is my go to place for middle eastern groceries!!

Besides having the best selection of Middle Eastern grocery items, Sahara has the very best and flavorful high quality prepared cooked Middle Eastern foods and salads. The owner is a very nice and friendly man with many years as a chef in his background. I will promote this place on my very large food and drink Facebook group called "Everything is Food".

best middle eastern grocery and restaurant in town hands down. friendly service with the owner and the best Mr. Nagy. My only to go to place in bergen county that's for sure and nothing i won't find there.

Good people and very selective middle eastern goods. Better than driving all the way to paterson and prices are very reasonable.
