Small town grocery store feel with great prices and service.

They called because they could not make the exact arrangement/color combination on such short notice, and delivered around 10am. Very happy with their service.

The employees were nice even when it was late.

I live in Chicago and have visited this store several times in the lasts 15 years with my parents. My father is a fan of the store because of the lower prices but not always lower than Walmart and no sales taxes are being charged on your total groceries order. Every time I been to the store the checkout was fast, the cashiers friendly, the store was clean, the shelves for the most part were stocked. The parking lot has a tendency to get fairly crowed due to the fact it is a much smaller LOT space then say other stores located in and around Indiana area. The store offerings and item/product variety is much smaller than say your Walmart store which is JUST a short distance DRIVE from this store. I am a big fan of their desserts and just love the slices of birthday cake for $1.99 . I have gone to the store many times and again my father almost has to go here, with that being said……. For the lower prices, they DO accept ILLINOIS SNAP, NO SALES TAXES, FAMILIAR AS WELL AS UNFAMILIAR ITEMS, GOOD DESSERTS this can be the place to go or a go to for YOUR shopping NEEDS!!!

A great clean affordable Supermarket! I live on the Southeast Side of Chicago and have been shopping there for over 30 years! I would not trade this Supermarket for any other!

My family has shopped at this location for over 20 years. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The managers are always on top of things and their customer service is excellent. Have gone to larger locations but prefer this smaller location because it feels more family oriented.

This location is smaller than the other stores but still has a good selection of food. But what I love and appreciate most is that they have efficient and friendly cashiers. Unlike Walmart, they have people working the cash registers and the wait time is reasonable.

This is my grocery store. Some of the folks working here watched my kids grow up, and now my grand kids! Management here is friendly and responsive to customers. It's not fancy, it's not "foodie", but you can get basic fresh groceries here at a decent price. I'm a believer in shopping at locally owned and operated stores.

Really appreciate a decent place to shop. Employees respectful and helpful, and basically shelves were stocked. I had no problems finding the groceries I needed.

It was alright but it took me 3 trips in the Freezing Weather on my Scooter to get everything I needed to. But I had a ride Tuesday and Wednesday when they weren't open. And I paid a lot more for the stuff they had on sale the days they were Closed even the Pop Person said he didn't think you had to buy 4 12 packs to get them for$4.49 each when they were 3 for $10.00 the days they weren't open. But everyone Treated Me Good I spent over $160.00 in 3 Trips.😥

Love this store! Always has items other stores may not have. Friendly, nice people too. Always greeted with a smile. Thanks for being a great store to shop!

Staff does a fantastic job! Friendly and polite. I can't remember the young man cashier but he had a great personality! Trendy and rockish is the best way to describe him.

The staff are very helpful, conscientious, caring and thoughtful to a fault. The service is excellent and the store has a lot of sales with some good prices when they are not on sale. They will make you feel as though you are family.

Very clean store, albeit very smaller than their more modern stores in Hammond and Schererville. This store's footprint reminds me of the old Jewel food store on South Chicago Ave.

I get exactly what I need at Stracks! Great service and quality food is always on hand. Pricing is fantastic for my wallet and my family. Everyone should shop for their groceries here!

Fully functional deli, I came for the meats and produce. I like the fact that there are options for shopping. Close to the beach on days when you need to grab quickly. Good selection of everything you may need.

Convenient location, they have everything I need, not always the cheapest prices but the sales are great. I can get in and out quick which is a blessing for me. Thank you Strack & Van Til please don't change!
