Penzeys Spices

Chuck made this first time visit of mine amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the products and even how to use them. Penzeys is good if u just need a lil bit of something for a recipe. So u don’t have to buy the big “one size” they carry in the grocery store. This store doesn’t deal with a middle man ie:supermarkets, so the herbs and spices are fresher. The gift box options they have are awesome for gift giving. I think they will even mail it for you. Everyone is getting seasonings for Christmas this year. Lol. Got a cool pin for my jean jacket collection as well. Thanks Chuck. Keep up the great work.

The best, freshest, biggest selection of herbs, spices, grilling mixes and baking additions. Salad dressing blends and herb mixes are terrific. The Norwalk staff is very helpful. It's a great place to find gifts for beginning cooks as well as experienced bakers and grillers. There's something for every dish (and some beverages) for all meals all year long. They periodically offer "specials" that include deep discounts on such items as cinnamon, vanilla and spice blends.
They sell some items in bulk and offer boxes and jars to create targeted gifts for the cooks on your gift list. And gift cards work in the store as well as for online orders.

Great place to add spice to your life, and food.

My favorite Mediterranean spice is Za'atar, on Naan bread with olive oil and broiled /browned for a minute...worth a try if you don't know it.

I also tried and like very much Penzey's "BBQ 3000". I was given a gift from Penzey Spices and love it, a variety pack.

This is the only place that I can find soft cinnamon stick to make my own curry powder blends. Well-stocked and people are super-friendly and helpful.

Well worth the drive from Ossining New York. Everything about this company from their second to none spices, friendly and helpful staff, to the political activism is in keeping with what I believe. They kept me positive during the pandemic and I always tell my friends when I am making the trip so they can put in an order as well.

I love, love, love Penzey's. We're very lucky to have one locally. The spices are the best, and their own mixes very tasty. They often have special offers, which are nice. They have recipes next to many of the spices, and a cookbook (if still available) that's very good, with recipes from customers.

Great experience. A salesperson enlightened me about the different varieties of the spice I wanted and then suggested the one that would best suit my needs. I would have been totally confused if I had to make my own choice.

Best place for any kind of cooking spice you can think of. Great to order online and also for in store shopping and pick-up orders. Penzeys is a customer friendly company, and they always give away freebies like mugs, magnets and stickers and sometimes free spices to try!!

Wonderful spices and great selection. Right now you can't shop in store but you can order online and choose to pick up at the store. Just call when you get there and they place your bag of spices outside for you to pick up. So convenient

I've been buying Penzeys spices for atleast 10 years. I've been hooked since day one. I will not buy spices from the grocery store anymore. The spices are all so fresh and really do enhance your food.

I love that I'm near a Penzey's again. Such great quality and so many wonderful spices to choose from. I'm very appreciative of their stand on social issues and am very happy to continue to support them and their important causes.

Like Toys 'R Us for anyone who likes to cook or bake! While you can't taste the various types of spices and seasonings, you can get a sniff of them before you buy. There are also some of the nicest and most knowledgeable salespeople imaginable. A great place to spend an hour.

They offer a wonderful array of dried herbs and spices, plus spice blends and baking needs, such as vanilla and two types of baking cocoa. The prices are not cheap, but they often have coupons for free spices with a purchase if you sign up for their emails. I love their chili blends and their Fox Point seasoning.
The parking on the side of the building can be a problem, but there are more spaces in the lot in back.
