Cultivate Hope Corner Store

Such kind people, reasonable prices, pay it forward morel, free corner for those in need. I can't say enough good about this place or the organization that birthed it. My mom would have been so happy to see the growth in her neighborhood, much needed foods. I just feel at home here. Thank you.

An absolutely amazing little market. A true blessing to the community that provides quality fresh produce and meat at affordable prices. Make sure to read up on Matthew 25 and all of their amazing work in the community.

This is a new store and it had its grand opening and block party yesterday. My son said that he wanted to go and I thought that would be a good idea and so we both went. It's a great place.

We went first into the store and saw one of the volunteers there. She explained that this is a non-profit store. Its intention is to provide lower-cost food for people directly in this area.

The fact that they only charge for the cost and not for their own profit helps with that. They need to make up for that with volunteerism and donations.

One of the things you can do is at the register donate up to the nearest dollar. She also said that money goes to pay for food from their own stock and it goes into a free food refrigerator pantry.

I was impressed with the quantity and quality of food for sale. They had good beers and I sampled their wines outside the store. Very good. I think some of their food vegetables and so on are from their own locally grown Matthew 25 Garden. They also have things like Amana bread.

One of the neat things is they have free coffee everyday and they have a place on the south side of the store near window that you can sit and drink coffee. They have a little microwave so that you can buy a quick snack and heat it up & drink it with your coffee by the window. That sounds cool and I look forward to biking there with my wife and having coffee and a snack.

They stock all kitchen & pantry staples as well as other items. We cook a lot at home and I can find 90% of my shopping list at the Corner Store. The workers are so friendly and I'm grateful this place exists!

The quality and price of the produce matched or exceeded my expectations. I also appreciated how efficient the store is - lots of locally sourced products, a wi-fi area, fresh produce and some prepared things (pastries, bread, pasta meal kits, chicken), and efforts to support local community needs. This is exactly what we need in a local grocer, and I'm excited to make Cultivate Hope part of my regular route.

Personally, I like how small the store is - parking on the south side of the building and being able to quickly grab things in a basket was less stressful than navigating crowds at HyVee, Walmart, Fareway, etc. - I got what I needed and didn't get distracted with "side quest" purchases.

One of my favorite places to shop for groceries! I loveeee having this store close to home. Great selection of items. All the basics, plus some fun extras. It's awesome that they have free produce for shoppers.

Love it!! It's a GREAT place for meats, fruits and vegetables. The Home made salads are amazing and the meals that are made up are delicious and healthy. Baked goods do run expensive haven't tried them since they're out of my budget but I'm sure they are fantastic! Everyone NEEDS to go check it out you will not be disappointed 🥰

Friendly staff, mostly local products, and amazing prices! It's the cheapest place to get meat and fresh veggies come at walmart prices with bigger bundle sizes! Be sure to check out their free produce table and fridge while there as they don't like to be wasteful and would rather give to the community then the trash can! Definitely a hidden gem of a grocery store in this town, I highly recommend checking it out yourself!!! Plus it's shopping at a local small business, what more could you want!

As a native of CR it is amazing the work & remodeling that has taken place here. It seems so unreal. The staff was incredibly friendly. Had plenty of suggestions on different products. Fresh produce for FREE! Simple hot food items available. All fresh meat. I have never seen such fresh looking pieces of raw meat. This store needs so much more hype. Absolutely amazing! Parking is not the best, but so worth it.

This place has the absolute best meat, hands down, that you will find in Cedar Rapids at the price points offered. Literally after eating their NY Strip, I passed out in a food coma until 4 AM on my couch. The produce is so fresh, and everything is so affordable! The food is healthy. Honestly it reminds me of New Pioneer but not outrageously expensive and with helpful and nice employees. Oh! They have roasted chickens! They are delicious and cheap - and they offer call-ahead for pickup. Love this place, shop here 2-3 times a week!!! Positive impact on neighborhood too!!

Well stocked, spotless! Purchased a rotisserie chicken and it was wonderful. Warm, friendly staff.

Nice staff I wish I lived closer I would visit more often. Their mission is so refreshing and I wish more businesses had the same frame of mind behind the work they do. They really do make make Cesar Rapids a better place just by being there.

I am ecstatic there is now a clean, respectable resource for people to get good, fresh, reasonably priced food within walking distance. I'm driving less and will be walking more ... right to this, my new grocery store!

Great place for fresh veggies and fruits. Absolutely worth navigating through the terribly disruptive construction on that entire corner. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have several options available from local vendors. We tried the Pasta of the Prairie brand meal kit.... Amazing!!! They offer small bags of fresh veggies in season for anyone (purchase/no purchase) To help EVERYONE stretch their money and be able to have healthy choices. If you keep thinking "I should check that out someday, but you haven't yet... Now is the time.

Such a wonderful addition to the community. I go here a few times a month. Their meats and produce are priced very well and fresh. They also offer garden fresh items as the season permits. Very worth the visit.

Really disappointed in the city for constricted access for this summer. I am sure that's why they have very limited selection compared to when they opened. It is a great ship with freindly workers and worth the effort !
