I was sent to Tim Moye by Olin Mott because "they are the best in the area. The only one we trust." I took my van into them and the guy examined it and found nothing wrong. Charged me $0.00. Said, "Have a nice day". All the guys in my church recommend them too. I gotta say, I would and will go back.

Totally honest ! You’ll never have a concern at Tim Moye. I’ve had my wife’s Lexus there and just now my Toyota Highlander. I asked Tim to do a transmission oil flush but when he looked at my transmission oil, he said it was so clean that he recommended that I wait on it a little longer. He didn’t even charge me for inspection !!

I dropped off my Chevy 3500 for transmission work, but Tim diagnosed it and didn't think my problem was in the transmission, and said he wasn't comfortable tearing into it without knowing for sure that was the problem. I brought the truck home and found the issue was actually my transfer case, which I have ordered and will install myself. I appreciate their willingness to try, but most of all I'm so glad they didn't just rebuild my transmission based on what I was telling them. They came highly recommended by other shops in Lakeland and I can see why. These are some good folks you can trust.

Outstanding experience with Tim Moye. They diagnosed an inexpensive wiring issue relating to my transmission after another shop claimed I needed a transmission replacement/rebuilt. I would absolutely bring my vehicle to Tim Moye first in the future.

I have used Tim Moye Transmission since 1990 when they had a shop on Nebraska Ave. in Tampa. Tim Moye is the most honest, and fair professional I have ever met. The only time I went to someone else to rebuild the transmission on my 1987 El Camino, I had to bring it to Tim to fix because it failed. Today they serviced my transmission with new filters, fluid and gaskets, cleaned the transmission, replaced two hard to find bushings in my linkage, adjusted the linkage and replaced both of my universal joints with my new parts and road tested it for the incredible price of $300. I can't remember the last time I was so happy to spent my hard earned money. Thanks, again, Tim. I'll see you in the future!

I brought my ford f150 here with transmission problems. I brought it to another shop that quoted me for a complete transmission replacement for 4k for new transmission plus 3.5k for labor. I got a few other quotes from other shops before I was recommended to Tim moye from Facebook group chat. I had my truck towed to them and they gave me a very fair estimate of 3900 for them to rebuild my transmission but after I talked to Tim on the phone and told him the problems I was having he realized I didn’t need a new transmission or even a rebuilt transmission and that my problems were caused by some kind of sensor plate in the transmission itself. Instead of charging me 3900 and rebuilding my transmission they charged me $800 to fix the sensor issue. These guys are 100% honest good people and I will vouch for them because they could have had me for 4 thousand dollars. Got my truck back and it runs great and I’m overall super happy with this whole experience. There’s not a lot of honest people now a days but if you’re having transmission problems this is the shop for you.

multiple shops told me I had to rebuild my transmission on my 2018 gmc acadia took it to tim within 24 hours they called me and said was a blown fuse and couple other issues paid a fraction of what other places wanted saved me a ton of money . Highly recommend this shop will be letting all my friends truly a honest mechanic shop

We’ve brought several of our vehicles to Tim. You won’t find a better shop to for transmission work. He’s honest and will even tell you when it’s not a transmission issue. We have moved out of the area, but we will continue to bring him our business when necessary. Fantastic work!!!

Tim’s shop is very reputable and honest. I brought my car in for what I thought was a transmission issue, and I was informed it was more likely an engine issue. I am very thankful to find an honest business man.

These people work with integrity. They couldn't fix our transmission so they didn't even charge us!!! I have never had such a kind person help us in this way. I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent and honest customer service. Had check engine light to with transmission, the shop checked further and found the problem was not transmission related and referred me to the right repair place.

Tim was absolutely awesome. He squeezed us in to drive our truck to determine if the transmission had an issue or not. He was quick, professional and most of all honest. Didn't have any work done, just called in for an estimate. Very nice friendly people.

Have had transmission issues with my 6.7 F350 diesel, and built transmission, for about a year. Had 3 different shops check it, never getting an answer, and being out of pocked on pointless diagnosis. I reached out to a few different people on their best transmission shop, and 3 different people (diesel mechanics, and my aftermarket transmission company) told me go to Tim Moye, an hour away. He recognized my issue by speaking over the phone, and confirmed it when driving it. I brought him the parts (valve body and fluid) and he had it fixed in no time. Great shop, and very honest work. There was one issue and he had it covered. I’ll be sure to either use him again or send anyone there searching for a transmission shop. Worth the hour drive for me. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this shop is. Tim is such a wonderful person to deal with, so accommodating and honest. My truck was with him for three weeks while he took his time analyzing the issues and treated me so fair with his pricing. I would never take my truck to anyone else for transmission issues. Tim and the team are great. He rebuilt one my transmissions several years ago and checks on it each year since. They do fantastic work at a fair price. Recently the transmission was going again (nothing to do with Tim but a Nissan CSV Trans-bad news fyi) he was kind enough to check the car out and give us very valuable feedback. Highly recommend their services.

Very honest repairshop. Fixed a transmission problem for a small percentage of what another (unnamed) transmission shop was asking for, saying a full rebuild was necessary. It wasn't after all.
