The food here is amazing!!! i’ve been ordering for years and always get amazing vegan food. The vegan shrimp is my favorite as it’s hard to find anywhere else. They always listen to directions too which i appreciate so much

What a great local, no frills Chinese take-out restaurant! We had been looking for an affordable, fast but tasty American-Chinese cuisine and Golden House fit the hill! We ordered several dishes including beef with broccoli, Chinese eggplant with chicken, moo shi vegetables, pork lo mein, and spare ribs. All dishes were made correctly and delicious! Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

This place is fantastic. There is no sit in dining, however take out is always an option. I was able to get General Tsos chicken with a side order of boneless spare ribs for under $25.00. what a steal. The chicken was coated perfectly and the boneless ribs were not too fatty and super flavorful. Next time I find myself in Silver spring for work, I will be getting this again!

A hole in the wall - really But the food is good, portions are big and it's inexpensive. What else would you like from a carry out place? The location is at 8200 Georgia avenue in a small shopping plaza right next to Patient First. They have a small seating area so you can technically dine in. From menu - I suggest soups and seafood dishes, while beef and pork less.

I loved the inside of the restaurant it's my favorite food area since 8.

I highly recommend trying this place for American style "fast food" Chinese. I think it's the best in downtown SS and also cleanest inside. No dining inside offered so we always do take-out. I like that they aren't stingy with the portions or ratio of meat to veggie; Good value for the money. Always fresh. Never overcooked or wilted veggies. Piping hot & made to order very quickly. Not the friendliest service but not rude, just all business. I'm not there to make friends I'm there for good food and they're spot on. Word of caution if you drive there to pick up: turn in the lot slowly or your car will bottom out as there's a big ditch/jump at entrance.

AMAZING!!!! I had the Beef and Broccoli and my husband had Sesame chicken, website said delivery would be 60min but the food came in 20 and scorching hot! We didn't eat our food until 2hrs later and we didnt even have to heat it up it was still hot WOW! The flavors where delicious and well worth it, we will eat here again when we come back down for a skins game.

I’ve always liked Golden House but after I went vegan I was limited to what I could eat. When they provided a vegan option I’m was in love. I’m eating the vegan chicken and broccoli and it’s amazing!! I had the vegan General Tso's chicken and it was amazing! Great work!!

The best Chinese food in the Silver Spring area; they have the classics, but also an excellent vegetarian menu and healthier options as well. That said, the fried dumplings are amazing—I highly recommend them, along with the General Tso’s chicken! Also, their delivery is very prompt, and they don’t tend to underestimate the time (they usually arrive 10-20 minutes earlier, in fact).

I think this is the best quick Chinese place I've ever eaten in. I ordered Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Roast Pork with Vegetables. The meat was lean, not fatty. Veggies were still crisp, colorful, and fresh, not drowning in sauce or glistening in oil. Tasty, didn't make me ridiculously thirsty later, so I'm guessing no MSG.

Glad to see them transformed and relocated from that little golden house that was used to be in the current new silver spring library to this shop. Excellent service after all these years, rocking the wok to provide some handy and delicious American Chinese food for the neighborhood.

Typical Chinese takeout. Food is really good especially the wings and mumbo sauce. Best french fries ever.

Never have I had an issue with ordering from here. Food always good, quick and hot when recieved.

I ordered the Hunan Shrimp with Fried Rice. The large shrimp were tender, juicy, and tasty. The delightful mixture of vegetables and the Jasmine rice was stir fried to perfection. Scrumptious!

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. It arrived hot and so flavorful. The garlic broccoli was the shining star!

The chicken in garlic sauce, the egg rolls, and their hot and sour soup is very good. Their customer service could use some work. But over all, I would still go there again.
