The Big Greek Cafe

Yhe food here is always so delicious everytime I come here, and the staff are always so friendly & helpful. In terms of local restaurants like this, this by far is my favorite of all, and that is a pretty high bar to clear for me personally. I highly recommend the Greek fries they're crack, and I sure am addicted to their delicious unique flavor. Honestly everything here is good, and can't say I've hated anything I've eaten here

A nice place with good food and friendly personnel. Not really an inviting ambiance to eat in, but great for take out..!!

I come here regularly and they never disappoint. Also good for catering a bigger event, like we did last year. Not necessarily cheap, but you get good quality and quantity. Would definitely recommend! Their fries are delicious, the Wednesday Famous Pita Gyros is a banger and for dessert, their rice pudding is a great option!

I was visiting from out of town and stumbled on this place and decided to come because of my and my husband's love of Greek food. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Portions are out of control, and everything was so fresh and good. Could not finish it all because there was enough to eat off our plates for three meals! No exaggeration. We ate at the high table facing the windows, and we had a great time people watching on a busy Friday night. Will definitely return when in the DC area. Can't wait to devour my leftovers!

Customer services was really good although the food menu is a bit organized and all over the place. Ended up finding the Nikos fried and ordered a side of yogurt sauce. Fries were very crispy and they were loaded with toppings and gyro meat. The sauce is a bit overwhelming but finishes off smooth. They were a bit salty as well but would give them a try again!

Probably one of the best place to get some gyros, especially on Wednesdays when the gyro are $6 each (only applies to the lamb gyro, not other options).

We’ve tried their other menu items ranging from fries to their baklavas and they’re all delicious. Basically you can’t really go wrong with this place and you’ll be satisfied with any entree you select.

Hole in the wall store with some of the best Greek food ever. There is something about their soft but slightly crispy pita bread that hits the spot . Every Wednesday they have $5 gyro specials! I'm not the biggest fan of gyros but I would say this is one of my favorite gyro joints. Additionally their eggplant lasagna type dish with a side of green beans was pretty tasty as well. If you're wanting their pita sampler is a great appetizer to split with friends. Their fries with feta cheese and sauce are so fresh and tasty. It's a shame we don't have on eon the West coast.

Ordered takeout via DoorDash, and this is some of the BEST Greek food I’ve had. We ordered big Greek bowls, which were enough to feed us for lunch the next day as well. Don’t sleep on the falafel!

This place is sooo good. I have always had a good meal here. Only once did I have a piece of my order left out, but it was Friday during lunch and it was a big group delivery order for the office. Even then, I'd called later that evening to tell them I would stop by after work to either get a refund or the missing item, no big deal. When I stopped by, they didn't ask for the receipt and just offered a replacement meal plus a free dessert of my choice.

This is where my biggest recommendations come in. WHEN you stop by this place, try their baklava. It's a good healthy portion sliced into halves (pictured) and has such the perfect layering of flavors between the honey, dough, and nut fillings. Very difficult to tell yourself you'll save the other half for later and actually follow through!

The other recommendation is their spanakopita platter (also pictured), which, too, is a healthy portion of the popular dish, and my go-to when I stop by this place for a meal. It also includes a side of your choice.

And--speaking of sides--my final recommendation and possibly their most popular side item: their "big greek fries" (pictured with the spanakopita). There have been times where, I admit, I've ordered a box of these mouth-wateringly satisfying fries purely as a cheat meal along with ANOTHER SIDE of the SAME ITEM. No shame. They're fried to a crisp outer layer and topped with cheese and spices and get my highest recommendation at this restaurant.

Great service, phenomenal food, excellent theme, and fair portions make this place a must for anyone who's into Greek cuisine.

Oh and also... $5 gyros every Wednesday.

It was to go, but still amazing food. The gyro roasted potatoes, and souvlaki are delicious.

The Big Greek Cafe is point blank good food. Cost vs serving size is great, staff is great and nice atmosphere. You cant go wrong by no means stopping here. Worth repeat visits for sure.

Went in with 0 expectations, happily surprised with the results! The cashier suggested getting the gyro with Greek fries. They were bomb!

Love this place. Huge gyros and really tasty. The best fries around, too. (Forget the ketchup, order extra tzatziki and dip them in that). Prices are fair and service is quick. I live 10 min away and phone in my order before walking there to pick up - it's usually ready when I arrive. Check out the Wednesday special, it's a bargain.

Really really delicious chicken gyro as in unbelievably good! We don't live in this area but will make it a priority to return when we are!!

The food tastes amazing. Love the fresh piece of feta you get on the side to add. Highly recommend the fries.

The food is delicious with char grilled flavor. I’ve just had the chicken but want to try the lamb chops. My daughter loves the gyros here. The salad is outstanding and the potatoes are also good. Good portions and price!

The famous Gyro Pita sandwich is simple and completely brilliant. Excellent gyro meat, tomato, onion, and sauce on a scalding hot pita. Holy moly, is that thing good when it's fresh. Don't take it to go - eat it immediately while it's still hot. I planned to take a few bites and then take the rest of mine home, and I just couldn't stop eating it.

Ambiance is basic with self-serve drinks and a handful of tables. Service is friendly and quick. Well worth a visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in this area. Also my to go place when friends visit. Authentic food with reasonable price. Strongly recommend!!
