Luca Bistro

I had dinner here in November, and I am still thinking about the lovely food, service, and atmosphere. The frites were delicious, and the mayo was very unique and tangy! I had lamb and my boyfriend had chicken, both were delicious. I wish the lamb was a bit more tender, but the flavor was perfect. The dessert was the real star of the show. The Chocolate Mousse was incredible.

This place is not necessarily cheap, but I think is still affordable for a nice dinner out, and the value is exceeded when you factor in the environment and great service.

I plan to come back here this weekend for lunch and I am really looking forward to it!

Luca is a beautiful restaurant with a ton of love put into its atmosphere. I stopped here just to have a look before going to a separate restaurant I had reservations at for a jazz show. The atmosphere was buzzing and friendly while being quiet enough for intimate conversation.
I got a charcuterie board and a French Martini and it was delicious as well as affordable.
I needed it to be a quick trip so I only ordered their crème brûlée before I had to go. It was AMAZING, the only downside to my visit was that since I had to be in and out so fast I didn’t get to try everything I wanted to.

Had a little bit of a wait but it was a Saturday night so to be expected. But once we got our food it was worth it! Plus the service was fantastic! From the moment we came into the door.
Now the food!! I got the Chicken a la provencal- the chicken was juicy and the sauce was amazing!! Served on top of mashed potatoes! Also the lamb kebob was very flavorful and tender, served with a fries and a salad.
How can I forget about the appetizer basil bourbon crostini was delicious!

Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Overall very good. I ordered the mixed green salad and the Steak Au Poivre. The salad was excellent the steak was seasoned well, sauce was delicious but the meat was a little gristly but I came close to closing time so I'll come back again and see if it's a little better. Still would recommend though!

This place is wonderfully immersive. As a French person, this little bistro reminds me exactly of home. All the artwork is carefully chosen from France, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The service is incredibly friendly; we particularly enjoyed our waiter, who was very helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious, reminiscent of the cuisine from the south of France where I'm from. The moules frites were especially delightful, probably the best I've had in a US restaurant. Great job, guys! We'll definitely be back.

Luca Bistro is a perfect casual dining spot! We were there at opening, and within 10 minutes, it was nearly full. The friendly waitress mentioned they were short-staffed, but you would never have guessed! Pasta was cooked perfectly, flavors balanced. Both my friend’s chicken entrees were delicious! The ambiance is European cozy and comfortable. The gin cocktail special was to die for. Can’t wait to go back and sit on the patio!

I was back in France at that cute little bistro that always highlights your best travel stories. Food was not overly fancy or unnecessarily drenched in heavy sauces, but it was tip top French (and a little American) fare. 2 of our party had the outstanding moules and frits, fresh and bathed in white wine and light aromatics. I had a sumptuous, well prepared cod Provençal. Service was prompt and friendly the restaurants rooms drenched in unpretentious French charm. Definitely moving Luca into the regular rotation. (Side note: if you’re still sad about the departure of Zulas and their epic mussels, come here!)

Came here for dinner with some girlfriends and cannot say enough good things about this place! Luca Bistro is a relatively new gem in the mount adams food scene. It was packed on a weekday night and there isn’t that much seating so definitely call ahead or plan some extra time for your meal. They have a great selection of wine and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food was well worth the wait. Everything we tried was spectacular. Cod was flaky and tender, mashed potatoes very rich and creamy on the side. The steak was the star of the show—so well seasoned and juicy! Lamb kebab was solid too. And the homemade crème brûlée was got for dinner was big enough to share between 3 people—the crispy torched top offset the sweetness. Do yourself a favor and swing by for a meal sometime!

Some seriously good French food.
For people like me with bourgeois taste and a little money, this is the spot for you!

They have excellent service and food.
Very attentive and helpful staff.
All the portions are worth the price you pay.
They are moderate portions per entree.
The atmosphere gives off the vibes of a genuine small, quaint little French restaurant.
I definitely wish the best and that they stay in business because this is too hard to beat for the price of French food in the city.

Reccomend: Steak, Chicken a la Provençal, French Fries, ratatouille, orange creme brulee, and basically everything else. All the food is good. [Also try the Cassis soda if you like blackcurrant** 👍]

Luca Bistro is a relatively new restaurant and there’s a few areas they really shine and a few areas for growth. Service is fantastic, quick seating inside and very nice staff. If you want to sit outside, I’m not sure if there’s a waiting list or not, we weren’t offered (just told it was full). Seating inside was very charming (a bit hot, looks like they are adding a few fans 👍) because of the atmosphere they have built, there’s a great French vibe in the restaurant accurate to what you’d find in most French bistros. The bar could be stocked better. We found several items out of stock when trying to order an Apéritif. The small charcuterie board was reasonably priced and leagues ahead of other restaurants in the area when it came to quantity and quality. The steak was flavored well with a fantastic peppercorn sauce that the fries soaked up. Overall, a real treat coming out to try this location and we will definitely be back and tell our friends.

Five stars all the way. I’ll add pics. Imagine authentic French food done superbly, and you have all you need to know.

They even have boeuf bourguignon.

Here’s the hook: CHEAP! Like, that’s a good thing, cheap. Like, chef Frederic deliberately prices cheaply to make it more like an authentic accessible French bistro. Entrees in the $teens!

Recommend any day. Please come. So good.

“ I could have lunch here everyday” My wife said to me after her first bite. The service, atmosphere, and food were all amazing. Can highly recommend the salmon and steak frites and will definitely be coming here again.

Its a very busy place, but the food it totally worth the wait while you enjoy your wine. Alec was fantastic server, it's a French friendly bistro with impressive French style decor. My caramel latte was super delicious.

Service was a 10/10, the food was amazing! I got a virgin drink from the bar, then ordered the flat bread as a starter and the Cod fish entree. Everything was chef’s 💋.
Dakota was great and very attentive. If your thinking about visiting, go for it!

All of our dishes were excellent. The fries are very tasty and the creme brulee is excellent. It feels like stepping into Europe. The atmosphere is warm, colorful and inviting. They have a great outside dining area.

One of the best places I have eaten in a long time, I can’t even begin to describe how impressed I was! The Chicken a la Provençal was delicious, and the group I was with all enjoyed their dishes as well. One of our favorites at the end was the crème brûlée for dessert. Our server was wonderful and shared with us some of her recommendations. I’m excited to return with family and friends to Luca Bistro to try some of the other entrees! Thanks for a great experience!

Service was fast and friendly and the food came out quickly even with a packed restaurant! The space is beautiful and the food was delicious. I had the Lobster Bisque, Cod Provençal, and Crème Brûlée and would order all 3 again. Prices are also more than reasonable. No complaints or criticisms at all. Excited for more people to learn of this gem.

Came around 1pm Saturday for “Rosé All Day” and couldn’t have had a better experience. I was greeted with smiles all around and promptly seated in the courtyard with the sun shining and live French music, had a drink in my hand within minutes. I had the Niçoise salad and frites, which came out quickly and were amazing, enough so that I sent pictures to family who immediately started searching where they could get the same locally.

For Rosé All Day, you could order by the glass for your particular taste, or grab a complimentary glass from the biggest bottle of rosé you’ve ever seen (see pictures). Who even does that? 😂 Luca does. The place is full of love, camaraderie, and the best food in the city. Long live Luca.

Cannot wait to go back! We walked in on a busy evening, the restaurant was packed. We were immediately greeted, with a few more follow up acknowledgements. We were seated quickly and felt welcomed. The space is classy comfortable, with polished touches and a perfect menu. There is something for everyone. Started off with a spring mix salad, topped with grapes, walnuts, and goat cheese. Just the right amount of balsamic vinegaret. Pan seared Salmon, and Cod dinners. Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. I will be thinking about it for days. As hard as it will be to not just repeat our order, I'm looking forward to trying everything they offer!Thank you for making our last minute decision, an excellent choice! And a huge thank you to the staff for being so wonderful!

Simply impressive.
Food was amazing, service was pleasant and the atmosphere takes you straight to the south of France. And they manage to be very affordable.
Absolutely authentic and delicious, we’ll definitely be back often.
