Garden's Edge Inn

Wow! This place is worth the drive. While it's not "in the city" or town, it's got everything you could possibly want. I'm a wedding officiant, and I officiated a wedding here. I'm super-impressed! The setup is amazing. Couples can get ready here, have the ceremony, celebrate with their reception, and even stay the night! Yes, there's ROOMS TO SLEEP IN! What a unique and intelligent idea! Everything is new - there's a huge kitchen, stoves, fridges, neat little things that you didn't even know existed...heck, if I could live here I would! I'm really impressed by what's been done with this location and I'm looking forward to hopefully working here as an officiant again!

Our daughter is attending BSU and with family in KY and MI this was the perfect getaway for a quick visit with a large group. The host was very gracious and helpful. The place was clean and stocked with special treats. As Garden's Edge is slowly being renovated, so we are excited to see the upcoming improvements. We hope to visit again soon.

We found the Garden's Edge Inn on a whim to host family from out of town as well as our grandmothers 80th birthday. Perfect amount of rooms/beds to accommodate the 15 people that came in from out of town. The hall was the perfect size to hold our celebration. A former church/fixer-upper, converted into an inn with a lot of potential and charm. Very welcoming and familiar if you are or were ever a churchgoer. We will be making this an annual trip to get our family together in one place.

Garden Edge Inn was the perfect place to hold a family reunion. I rented the whole place for the weekend. We had enough room for my family from Pittsburgh to meet my family in Indiana. The large great room was perfect size for our party.

We had such a nice time! The owner is super-nice and responsive if you have ANY problem, no matter how small. It's about 10 minutes from the Meijer (grocery) and about 15 from downtown Muncie. It's clean, comfortable, spacious, and has a great surrounding property with an old-fashioned play structure, fire pit, hot tub, broad lawns, and gorgeous plantings. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with pots and pans of all different types.

The location is extremely private -- your kids can run around outside all day without bothering anyone. On the day of the total solar eclipse (we were in totality), we heard one car pass by all day.

Inside, the old church sanctuary has been converted to a function room with big banquet tables and chairs. The former church vestibule is now the suite, with the room with a single queen bed (and jacuzzi tub) and private bath/shower. Next to the church and vestibule is a well-equipped kitchen/dining room that used to be the church kitchen and is now well set-up for B&B guests. There is a long hall with four former offices/classrooms, two on each side, that have been turned into bedrooms with two queens each. And at the end of the hall is the former community room, which is now a lounge with a TV, a big table for board games and puzzles, and a computer and printer. Slept SO comfortably!

The cabinets in the lounge have a HUGE variety of games and puzzles and books, including board games I haven't seen since the 1980s! My kids were kept super-busy with the many games, and with the generous crayons and coloring paper available in the cabinets. The function room is also an excellent location for light saber battles among cousins!

Parts of the building are still being renovated, and you can tell this is a labor of love. But it was absolutely clean, comfortable, safe, and a well-appointed, delightful space for a larger family gatherings -- and there are childproofing supplies available in the kitchen, if you have small children. The owner is immediately available by text for even the most trivial questions, and he's super-cool about answering immediately even if they're very silly. There were welcome muffins and fruit!

Perfect for larger family gathering, class reunions, weddings, family functions, Ball State graduations, and similar. It's an excellent spot to rent, I cannot recommend it enough!

Great stay! We had so much fun. Quiet neighborhood. Super friendly and helpful hosts.

Wonderful place

It's was great at first but then something died in the vents. And smelled disgusting.

Not what I expected. It smelled SO bad, it was so bad me and my partner could not stand it at all. Secondly me and my partner Riddick Lawless agreed it was runned down and very unprofessional.

Wish I could rate no stars, this place was a dump, it was unmowed, looked unkept when we arrived (very different from pictures). The owner is a straight perv, says he's 40 but after further investigation in his 50s. He talked down to women as it seemed. Found out he takes random girls from online here to cheat on his wife. Had an altercation with him after he stated God wasn't real because Jesus never existed then said people that use iphones are entirely stupid. This dude is a psycho, and this place will end up in a true crimes documentary. Stay away!¡!
