The Surf Club

Fantastic stay! We appreciated the cleaniness setup, and great location. Everything worked out with the logistics, but we would have preferred some response to our email and call attempts prior to arrival. We will keep this property on our list of places to return to.

Reasonable prices, easy check-in. Adorable room, shower was amazingggg. 1 block from the beach. Cute little roof deck to enjoy the sunset. All in all, would recommend!

My husband and I were very happy with our recent stay at the Surf Club. It was a perfect location. One block from the boardwalk and beach! Restaurants and shopping are in walking distance. The room was clean, stylish and new. The shower was amazing. Parking was close. They had everything we expected. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will be back again. The price was also right. I have one suggestion: better exterior lighting in the parking area and maybe reset the timers on the hallway lighting. Otherwise we were very pleased and would certainly recommend the Surf Club.

Communication with the hotel in advance was wonderful. At check in, I was told to text with any issues. I only had one issue and it was addressed immediately which was much appreciated!

It is a block away from the boardwalk which is amazing. The parking lot was about a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel which I didn’t mind but just so everyone is aware!

The rooms are brand new and lovely. You walk into a bedroom with a king size bed and a huge TV. And the bathroom was beautiful! The shower was wonderful and had great water pressure. The rooms are smaller than others I’ve stayed at in OC which I didn’t mind since it was also much nicer than other rooms! There was a fridge but no microwave (which again I didn’t really care). The best part is that the room was very clean!! And I am very picky so that’s saying a lot!!

Everything you need is within walking distance. I had an excellent two night stay!

This is a great place to stay for a night or 2. I called same day and the room was available for that night. The room we stayed in (Room 01) is a clean, newly renovated room, I believe this room is bigger than the others with a pullout sofa. The bed was super comfy!!! With clean, crisp white sheets. :-) The location is wonderful if you want to be close to the action of the boardwalk. Convenient door lock with key code (no cards or keys). Linens and towels are provided, otherwise the room is very minimal. Soap, shampoo, conditioner is provided. Mini fridge provided in the room. There is no coffee maker (I doordashed some dunkin in the morning) and no dresser to unpack clothes (we only stayed 1 night, so no big deal). Nowhere to hang wet bathing suits/towels (I laid ours out in the sun on the patio/sidewalk area out front while we were in our room). I think this is a great option for a place to stay for a quick getaway!

Did a quick mom/daughter getaway before the move back to college and the Surf Club was perfect for us! My daughter, who appreciates the first impression was very pleased with the look and feel of the very new and modern room. Bed was beautiful with bright white/clean sheets and the shower was amazing. The price was amazing and the communications pre check in were very informative and transparent setting expectations for the stay. I will definitely be coming back :-)

We booked a room at The surf club in ocean city for our anniversary and it was everything we needed! The hotel is 3 blocks from the beach and the room was clean and set up perfectly. The price was great and the staff contacted us several times via text and email to see if we needed anything. We were very happy with all the accommodations and we will be back. Thank you Surf Club!!

What a blast this summer has been for my family and I ! The Surf Club played a HUGE part it that. We have stayed twice and loved both times. Two different rooms, both beautiful, modern and literally a minute walk to the beach. The beds are cozy, showers are amazing and The rooms are clean and welcoming. This will continue to be our spot here in Ocean City and can not wait for more trips to come!! Thanks Surf Club!!

Great place to stay. About a block from the boardwalk. The Surf Club is trendy and modern both inside and out. Rooms are tastefully done!! Mini fridge, no coffee maker, but Brenda’s Cafe is a few steps away. TV is Roku, so you can log into your Netflix, YouTube TV, etc. Bathroom was well stocked with towels, but only 2 wash clothes. They utilize texting to communicate and answer your questions. You check in online and get your room code via text. No need to talk to anyone the whole time you’re there. The pool at the sister hotel across the street is available to you (even had live music in the afternoon/evening). Parking is the main inconvenience- after you arrive and unload, the parking tag is in your room. You park about 4 blocks away, but being right at the boardwalk- we parked and didn’t leave til we checked out. Highly recommended.

I chose to stay here on a whim because there were no reviews, but I’m very happy I did! They were extremely accommodating and I really appreciated that they included beach tags for my stay. The room itself was very clean and modern with a nice, big shower with a rainfall shower head. It’s like a 3 min walk to the beach too so the location is perfect. For check-in I went to The Pavilion office, and they offer pool access at The Forum across the street which is awesome! I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Our family of 3 stayed here and we loved it. The suite was very clean and modern looking. We liked the easy check in and how each room was its own unit. We will be back next Summer to enjoy a longer stay!

While I was skeptical at first because of the low number of reviews I was really happy with my stay! It was a great location for the money spent. Just a heads up if everyone in the room is not above 25 you do need to leave a $200 deposit that you get back at the end. The hotel is new so there are minor adjustments I think that need to be made but nothing that wouldn’t stop me from going back again and should more than likely be perfected by next summer. I had a great time. Would recommend. :)

The location is great- quick walk to the beach and restaurants. We were able to park in the Pavillon lot, which was right next to the hotel so that was great. Beach tags were provided. Some quirks: although the room was very modern and clean, it didn’t have a closet or a trash can. Huge TV, very comfortable bed. The room could also use a sitting chair, the only sitting option was the bed. Although the staff was friendly, it took a bit of time to get us checked in. Also, the pool pictured on the web isn’t the pool we were told we could use. We were directed to the Pavilion pool, which was ok but was definitely not the pool pictured.

This is one of the newer motels on the island and location and the newness of it's rooms is what get it a solid 4 stars. The room itself is nice. Nice comfortable king bed, huge TV, mini fridge. huge bathroom and very clean. The room itself is small, about 12ftx13ft and the bed took up about 75% of the room. Not a huge deal breaker considering what you're looking for. Really clean too although we had to kill quite a bit of fruit flies in our room over our 2 night stay. Is the location good, yes. Is the room clean, yes. Is parking 'included', yes although it's off property. Is the room comfortable, yes. However, there are a few key elements that are missing to make this motel the best value on the island. There are hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels and wet clothes but there was no line in the bathroom to hang up wet bathing suits. There was no microwave. Microwave is a must have in any motel especially one of a beach town. There are no chairs or tables in the room so there's not much lounging to be done unless you are sitting on the bed. And lastly and most importantly price. This motel is expensive for what you get. Yes it's newer construction and I had a comfortable stay but the rate for these rooms are high. Unfortunately, so is everything else on the island so the market has dictated this rate. What I will also say, is that this was one of the very few places that had availability but that availability came at a very high cost. The service was ok. They are still working through a few procedures as they are newly operating and we experienced that during our stay. Again, my stay was comfortable but even with it being new and without table and chair(s) no microwave and the size of the room it would be hard to justify staying here at the going rates again. If rates go 10%-20% below island market rates and this establishment becomes far and above and head and shoulders above any other motel/hotel on the island hands down. In an instant this would become the best accommodation in regard to motel/hotel in OCNJ.

Very nice location. Very clean and comfortable rooms. There was no phone in the room.
