We were first gifted a Damhorst stool 35 years ago when our first son was born and have been hooked ever since! We have 5 stools between our two boys (different variations) and two hat racks. We have (time and time again) given them as gifts. They are practical, sturdy, and unique! I even had the opportunity to order a stool for my dear friend's granddaughter because her daughter-in-law wanted the same stool I had given to her husband when he was born! The customer service was also kind enough to send me four replacement pegs that they needed for the coat rack we had given them years ago. Love seeing all the new products as well. Love everything about this company!

I have ordered countless name stools from Damhorst toys since the early 1980s. I have never once been disappointed; each one has been perfect. The recipients have thanked me repeatedly, sometimes, long after the child's graduation!

The stools are now handed down to the next generation; I need them for my grandchildren!

Quality. Beauty, Resilience, Practical and fun. I have never been disappointed, there has never been a defect, or a misspelled name or an inferior piece of wood. I have ordered 14 of these over the past 34 years and even the quality has stayed the same. The three that I bought for my children 30+ years ago are still being used and now I can buy them for their children and their friends who are close to us. Really, this is such a useful, quality gift plus, if you ever need to ask a question or a favour, there is always someone that answers the phone. This last time that I ordered, I had such a small amount of days before I needed to bring it back to Europe, and they were able to squeeze it in. I won't ask again, but it really helped me this time! We were given a gift from Damhorst toys (wooden stool with our daughter's name) almost 18 months ago. We just realized that one of the legs wouldn't screw into the top. I called and they immediately sent a replacement part to fix the problem, no charge. So nice to get such good customer service, even though I wasn't the actual customer who made the purchase!

This company is wonderful! Not only is the product great but the customer service can’t be matched! We received a beautiful gift for my son and there was a mild issue with it and within minutes of contacting them I had a reply and a solution. I will definitely recommend them and come back in the future for more products!

A wonderful company for baby gifts.. especially new borns. We still have gifts with my children's names on it from 25 years ago!

Unfortunately, had a really bummer of a customer service experience.

Just spoke to someone on the phone. My daughter was given a custom large stool puzzle with her name as a gift. It was purchased by our friends who are repeat customers. It was spelled incorrectly by our friends who ordered it. I called to see if there was anything they could do and was told they could give me $10 off another one. The woman on the phone was unkind, and not empathetic. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Left me feeling disheartened.

What the woman on the phone didn’t know, was I also planned on ordering five other large custom puzzles today for friends that are pregnant and just had their babies, because I love what they make so much.

I Would love to continue supporting the business, however, I am very disappointed in the way I was talked at and supported today.
