Pam and I had just taken a one-hour walk on Folly Beach where the gods had conspired with gentle breezes, a bright blue sky, and friendly folks to convince us that there was no way it could possibly get any better. But once off the beach and spotting a new Folly establishment called The Bounty Bar, we were to find out how wrong we were to set our expectations so low. The front door beckoned us to come on in. As I opened the door, the first thing that hit me was a bombardment of colorful lights, tastefully put in a context of a flat black background. It took a bit for my pupils to adjust from being out in the bright sun, but as they did I immediately felt the friendliness and informality of this “everyone-knows-your-name” place. I have to say I was impressed that an establishment that had just opened recently seemed to be running like a well-oiled machine.

We ordered ice tea, the fried fish sandwich, the gator po' boy, some fries, and a salad which was brought to us on the front porch section where we could take in the “passing parade” of humanity enjoying their visit to this funky beach town. Both the fried fish and gator were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries were top-notch and the delicious ice tea hit the spot. I guess the only change that I might have made was to have ordered one of their many choices of beer or the renowned frozen rum punch to more closely complement the delicious lunch we had. That will have to happen next time. :)

Ordered delivery while vacationing on Folly and it was excellent. Food was really good and delivery was quicker than promised. Decent prices compared to other Folly spots, and free island delivery made it even better. My aunt had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and I had the patty melt - both were very good. Would suggest noting on the menu that all sandwiches come with a side of the house-made pickles, and that the pickles are spicy. Putting the pickles in a condiment cup would also work. Due to health issues, I cannot have spicy food so the part of my sandwich that was soaked in the pickle juice was inedible. That's the only reason the food didn't get 5 stars. Will definitely order from here again.

Food was excellent and the beer was cold!

The nacho appetizer was great! Only recommendation I would have - if you don't like lime juice, or limes, ask for it off the platter. Overall, it's pretty tasty!

The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good, but I would like to see it in a slightly larger roll so the fillings don't spill out. Overall, I recommend it!

The grilled chicken sandwich is always a safe bet, as are the burgers.

The special at the time of visiting was the fried porkchop sammich. If it is the special of the day, it was also highly recommended.

If you are here for live music and beer, grab yourself some good grub and enjoy the weather!

We ordered loaded fries and wings. Paid for extra ranch and did not receive it. The wings were alright, a bit
overcooked as well as the fries but the food hit the spot it needed to hit. The bartender was super friendly and helpful and we loved the vibe inside

Came in to try this place out. Not only are the frozen drinks good. But you are definitely getting your moneys worth. Started with the loaded fries you get a whole plate of fries and everything. My boyfriend got the chicken tender plate and oh buddy so much food so juicy and made in house. I got the philly cheese steak the steak was so juicy and tender. Definitely recommend.

The perfect addition to Folly! My husband and I shared the fried fish sandwich and the gator po’ boy. The fish was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and sooo flavorful. The nuggets of juicy gator were just wonderful. We sat on the front patio and enjoyed people watching and a cool ocean breeze.

This is my favorite place to visit in Folly Beach. The foods awesome, people are always cool and they're super dog friendly. They even have a small dog menu.

What a fun place! After a little too much sun and not enough food, cold beers with a cool vibe was just what we needed. And we found it, but better! Frozen punches, perfectly proportioned nachos (it's kindof a thing) and a crispy fried fish sandwich hit the spot. The staff was amazing and the music was great. It was such a perfect way to wind down the day and start our next day too!

Great little bar on the main drag in Folly. We stopped in for a couple of beers but didn't have any food. Great atmosphere and a nice porch area for people watching facing the main road.

Great food! Brussel sprouts were awesome. Chili dog and flounder sandwich were too. Will definitely be back.

We just got apps and drinks, but the atmosphere was really cool! You can bring your dogs inside too which is an added bonus.

This was a great spot to stop for a drink in the afternoon. We were able to get a seat on the front porch which faces the main drag so great people watching. Very minimally staffed so you go to the bar to order food and drinks and the bartender did his best to deliver food when it came. He was also responsible for clearing tables so I. had to clear our table myself when we got there but I was happy to do so.

The bounty bar is pretty awesome, drinks are reasonably priced and the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is really unique and fun. Check it out.

My husband and I try to go here every time we visit Folly! The Bounty Bar has a relaxed, cool atmosphere. The staff has always been on point and fun to talk to! We love to get the mozzarella sticks and nachos. They sometimes have specials that are fun to try too! Can't wait to go back next time we're in town!

Great Folly vibes at the Bounty Bar! We had some delicious apps and ice cold drinks. Great place to end a relaxing day at the beach. Staff were fun & offered some great recommendations of non-touristy things in the area. Overall, a great find that keeps true to the quirkiness of Folly Beach.

The Bouthy Bar made my few month long work trips really rad! Fun, clever, and always delicious food&drinks. Love the back patio filled with plants and the traditional tattoo flash plastered in the bathroom stalls. I'll be back and always recommend it to locals who don't know what they're missing! Thanks y'all!
