Chad was amazing to work with. He was very friendly and was able to work around scheduling conflicts with ease. His inspection was thorough and informative and allowed us to be present, ask questions, and be a part of the inspection process so that as buyers we were aware of everything the house may or may not have needed in regards to repair and replacement.

Talk about a thorough and a nice guy! Chad checked everything in the house, and I mean everything. He took great detailed pictures of anything to be discussed, including the minor and non-concerns. He was happy to spend time going over any questions I had and showing me things in person. I would definitely call Chad again for future inspection needs!

If you’re in the process of buying a home, I highly recommend Excel Inspections, ask for Chad Winchell, you won’t be disappointed. My husband and I are retiring from the military and in the process of buying our forever home so we wanted to make sure the mistakes we’d made during previous purchases that led us to dealing with major issues in home repairs didn’t happen in our final home. Chad allowed me to shadow him during his inspection which was so incredibly helpful. I learned where the main water shutoff valve was, the breaker box and more. He was meticulous, checking doors, windows, the foundation, retaining walls, brick, roof, appliances, faucets (inside and out), HVAC, water heater, deck, lights, garage doors, attic, roof, fans, cabinets and drawers and the list goes on and on. He even showed me his infrared camera to detect for moisture which was my main concern about buying a 30+ year old home. Chad was not only very thorough and intelligent but he’s a phenomenal communicator. I knew before we left the property if there were any issues of concern so that we could address things with the seller before closing on the home AND I don’t know how he had time, but we had an extremely detailed report with pictures before we even work up the next morning (and I get up at 6am).

If you’re a first time home buyer or an experienced home buyer like I am, I highly recommend Excel inspections and make sure you ask for Chad!
