Rad Coffee

If you know me and read my reviews I love local. I would rather give my money to somewhere and someone living in the community and not a huge corporation just trying to get richer. Local cares about community and I just find the vibe at most to be much cooler. That being said I have found myself in Riverside this week and spent countless hours walking the city yesterday alone. I’m a SoCal native but moved to the Phoenix area a lifetime ago. I still have family nearby so it also means I could visit a bit. I knew Rad Coffee was close to my hotel and it’s honestly one of the first places I knew I’d an entire to. Reading other reviews and such I knew I’d love it. I decided to walk over in the morning and grab something to drink. Some people need food I search for cold brew. I was pleased to see it situated in a shared parking lot with a few other businesses with a private lot. While I did have my car at the hotel and could’ve drove it’s honestly easier to walk downtown anywhere if possible to not only see more of the city, but to not worry about one way streets, paid parking etc. that’s my opinion anyway. The location is pretty unassuming from outside besides their sign telling you they’re there. Even if I’d not known they were here if id of driven by the name alone would’ve had me turning it. Who doesn’t want Rad Coffee. When I walked through the door I knew it was definitely where I wanted to be. I was greeted instantly and once I told them I needed a few minutes they gave me a sec to go over the menu. I diverted from the menu because I saw merch and had to check it out. I collect pins for the roof of my car and when I find one that I know will give me a great memory I pick one up. I found many, but settled on one. They also had tons of tees, mugs, hydro, stickers and more. They have beans for purchase as well. I’d of loved to but more, but since I was walking I didn’t have enough hands to carry too much. Good news for me and you is you can order all these things online! They have a website. There are multiple Locations in SoCal. So if this one isn’t near you there might be another. After I picked my pin and some stickers I talked with the barista a few more minutes and decided on a cold brew with a bit of hwc and sf vanilla. I’d of orders another drink of some sort to try as well ( Yeah both for me), but unfortunately there is no seating inside the shop or out. I’d of loved to chill for a bit, but it also gave me more time to wander the area and enjoy my drink. My drink was made so fast. I was thanked for coming in and that first sip was heaven. It was a smooth brew with no aftertaste, no acidic after effect and the perfect amount of cream and vanilla. It is such a basic drink, but man if I could tell you how many times I’ve been somewhere that screw it up and ruin it. I noticed they offer a small amount of treats like pop tarts and stuff packaged to go, but didn’t try any of that. The walls were decorated in what I describe as old school 90s music flyers. Thrones is get as a teen and head out to watch a garage band. Damn I miss those days..this one time Face to Face….ill save that sort for a later day. Being a 90s teen was awesome. Anyhow, if you find yourself near a Rad Coffee it’s worth the stop.

Went during their soft opening. The place has good coffee, friendly employees, and reasonable prices.

Already with their soft opening parking has been an issue.

Currently they don't have any chairs or tables, hoping that changes once they officially open.

The place can be hard to spot from the street but once you're in the shopping center you can easily spot the location.

Honestly, I love this place, drive from out of town to drink here since the drinks are that good! The baristas always make my day as well, and it's not like I saw the same people every time , no matter who has worked there, they've always been nice and helpful and overall so sweet. I am left not just with a delicious drink but a smile from the lovely interaction all day ♡ thank you ! Also, I recently found out there drinks can be made vegan, which is awesome since my dad can't have milk !

Probably my favorite coffee shop in riverside.
Coffee is great. Actually has good flavor and the milk isn’t overheated and burnt. Super consistent staff. Highly recommend.
This IS NOT the place to post up and work. There are no tables or wifi. It’s get your coffee and leave vibes.

Evertime I come back home to California I have to make sure I stop by before I hit the road back to Phoenix. If I still lived here, I would be a regular for sure. I also make sure to buy merch each time but this time they were all out of my size so I got a pin too.

Rad Coffee is a punk rock themed coffee spot near downtown Riverside. They have a solid selection of regular coffee and delicious blended coffee drinks. The staff was super friendly and the drinks came out quickly. They just opened, and the decor is sparse. I’m hoping that they get some nice bar tops and seating, and that the artwork becomes more permanent. The photo is of their large “Cookies & Scream.”

Awesome coffee shop that has a very unique style and atmosphere about it. They have quite a large selection of options to get your drink including teas and even horchata. The inside is more of a pick up and drink location with no tables to sit as of yet.

Stopped in from Bakersfield, CA been wanting to try for a LONG time. Worth the wait LOVED it.

Rad coffe has great coffe and a punk rock esthetic. The coffee is great on its own. Still, they have plenty of blended and seasonal drinks. Of course, you can get something with an irresponsible amount of caffeine. Which I am always a fan of.

I usually get their cold brew coffee, but this time, I ordered the iced black tea, which was mild but decent. The Green tea has more flavor. 👌👍😋🥰

I'm so glad they have a shop here in Riverside now!! I got the Dracula Frapp. Bomb af, great staff!
