BEST sweet potato fries! Crispy outside, fluffy inside. Not even a hint of soggy.

Got the wings with the house sauce. Very yummy, on the sweet side, but found myself wiping up sauce with my fries. Next time I'm getting a hotter sauce!

Loaded fries, so good. Kids devoured them and so did I.

And finally, the perfectly fried pickles. Thin, so they're not too wet, held up nicely til the last one was gone.

I will be back, often, I'm sure. There is so much more on the menu I want to try.

We came for dinner and drinks on a Friday. The place was absolutely packed. The servers were all working hard to get everyone served quickly. Ben at the bar especially did an excellent job.

The brisket was incredibly tender and delicious. It's hard to get brisket that tender that still holds its shape. It had all the heartiness of a steak and all the tender goodness of pork belly. Since the brisket was so rich, the acidity of the pickles was a perfect balance.

Only downside was the water cooler emptied quickly because of the number of guests and it took a long time before anyone refilled it. Other than that, it was a practically perfect experience. Would definitely come again

Really enjoyed our visit - greeted, seated and served within minutes. Very attentive and engaging staff. Generous, savory portions - try the loaded fries. We had to take a bag of food home with us. Definitely will return.

AMAZING BBQ! We were at Wild Hare Cider Cabin in Leesburg and they directed us to Schmidt's Barbecue. We are SO glad that they did. We ordered the pulled pork cheese fries and they were DELICIOUS! I love that their online menu tells you what is gluten free. My daughter and I are GF so I was so excited to see so many options. We also ordered brisket (GF), Caesar salad, and mac and cheese. We will 100% be back again! Friendly customer service, clean, lots of outdoor seating (inside in very small). Order at the counter and eat outside.

The service was prompt and friendly, the barbecue amazing and the draft beer selection pretty darn good. It was a little chilly in the outdoor tent, but that was ok. I look forward to returning soon…maybe when it’s a bit warmer.

Delicious food and drinks! The sauces are tremendous. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff is a lovely old house in downtown Leesburg. Awesome food in a relaxed place.

Really great!! First time trying Schmidt's and I'm hooked! I got the pulled pork and brisket. So good and smokey. Great flavor, super quick service, and great atmosphere. Excited you're in the area.

We love coming to Schmidt’s! The food is so good (def don’t pass up the loaded fries!) but you can’t go wrong with any of their options. The staff is wonderful and love the overall atmosphere! It feels like a back yard bbq with friends and family. Bonus if you go on one of the live music days!!

Great food and fun atmosphere! We love coming to Schmidt’s for their BBQ and live music. The Alabama white sauce is so good! They host some fun events on weekends and holidays, and it’s always a great time every time we visit!

Service was exceptional! Food was amazing, their house bbq sauce was the best I have ever had!!! Their chicken wings(maple Siracusa), brisket, sweet potato fries… just about everything we had was on point! Highly recommend them and they had a cool live band. Thank you for having us Schmidt’s BBQ!

Awesome brisket sandwich and sides!

We just had dinner here tonight with our son and we have nothing bad to say about this place that I had to write this review right away! Good food, good music, good beer, beautiful
ambience, great service. Its an outdoor seating but not once did I get bitten by mosquitoes (they love me). I had the Little Schmidt with half ribs + qtr chicken with mac & cheese and its was plenty for the price! Go for this than just ordering half ribs - more value for your money. Loved the spicy BBQ sauce (for folks that are into hot sauce, sorry to say that this is not that spicy but worked for me!). The coleslaw was so freshly made my husband finished it all (he rarely does). Plus we were so lucky to have Laura Farrell play beautiful music tonight. It was a perfect dining experience. This place is a gem! I highly recommend!

Honestly, stopped here because our first choice bbq stop was closed...so glad we did. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the spicy margarita was amazing, a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the bbq was awesome. Their loaded fries appetizer is a total winner, and the Alabama white sauce is some of the best I’ve ever had. The servers all work together, and it’s obvious they actually like each other. No one at our table thought the brisket was dry as some of the other reviews claim. This place is delicious and charming and I would recommend 100x over.

The food here is delicious - their brisket with Alabama White sauce is amazing. The service is always super friendly with a great outdoor patio for family dinners and an easy system in place for a quick lunch to go.

We worked with one of the managers, Matt, to help cater my husbands 50th birthday party. He was great to work with and super helpful - food was all ready to be picked up when we arrived with napkins, utensils, drinks if we needed, etc...The meat & sides were delicious, and everything was gone by the end of the party! Everyone especially loved the ribs, brisket, potato salad, and mac & cheese. Would absolutely use them again!

We enjoyed our early dinner at Schmidt's today. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to open a restaurant during Covid, but the staff did a great job. Our server was very nice and he went out of his way to make sure he checked on us and made us feel welcome as soon as possible despite how busy they were. Their outdoor seating was completely full, but it still was appropriate and comfortably spaced apart for social distancing which is great.

We had the pulled pork and mac n' cheese which were both good. I loved the Alabama bbq sauce. They have a great beer selection and I'll look forward to stopping by again to grab a beer and enjoy the outdoor space.
