St. Anthony Hospital Emergency Room

So I've lived in Pendleton for the last year, and seeing the other reviews on this place I'm gonna say I've never had an experience even close to how bad those reviews are. I've had to take my daughter here 3 different times and I have had to go myself once. And we were always treated well and with respect and any questions we had were answered and we were never there for more than 4 hours at a time. They aren't perfect and it felt like they could have done more every time but we are alive. I have had major issues with the billing department there though. I still keep getting thousand dollar bills for my daughter's visit back in March, even though she had insurance and I've had to call them 6 times now giving them the same insurance info over and over, only to keep receiving bills.

I can understand being busy with higher priority patients, but when someone comes in with a kidney infection you’d think they’d at least run a urine sample. They did, after 4 hours of waiting. Triage took my vitals twice, but I was never seen by a doctor and never taken back into a room. I’ve almost died from these before, it’s in my record too. I would recommend making a trip to walla walla or Hermiston if it’s serious. This place won’t take you seriously. Not to mention if you had a history of drug use in the past, but are now clean, they treat you like an addict and give you zero respect. My mother in-law almost died from their mistreatment and malpractice

There is a reason it is known as St.Agony’s. The emergency room staff, is less than impressed when they’re interacting with patients. They forget to come back to you when giving medication. They are very VERY condescending. Talk to you as if you should know all medical terms, then get annoyed when you ask questions. They left the shoes in the ambulance and it took hours to get them back AFTER we were discharged. THEN when we get home and settled they call and say we have to come back because they didn’t get all the paper work filled out correctly and blamed me as if I should have remembered.

So when you go into an emergency room you would think that you would see a doctor in a timely manner. I sat in one of the rooms for almost 2 hours and had not see a doctor what so ever. The room was freezing cold. The only thing that was done was they got blood from me which how are they supposed to know what to look for if you haven't seen a doctor. And just because I wanted to leave as I hadn't seen a doctor they called the police on me for doing what wanting to leave. How nice to know that you get the cops called on you when you go to the er. Never again will I go to this hospital, I would rather die before going there again.... Hope your happy about your service as an er.
