Rainbow Cafe

I stopped in here because they're well known for St Patrick's Day celebrations. I was a day early but that was okay they still have lots of stuff. I ordered the fish and chips and it was a little disappointed because the fish came out looking like fish sticks. It was pretty good I came with a salad which was really really good I didn't eat any of the french fries so I can't tell you on that. But their margaritas if you're looking for a good margarita this is the place to go. Overall it was a wonderful visit it brought me back to Old Times in pendleton, thank you

I think the kitchen closes at 9pm…. I was in town for the night working and got done around 8:40pm. Hours said open until 2am… I walked in, grabbed a seat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by the bar staff. I told her I was hungry and she said, “Ahhh I’ll ask if he’ll cook one more meal.”

I hear her say, “He looks nice and said he was hungry…”

He not only cooked me a meal, but made me the best club sandwich this side of the Mississippi accompanied by the crispiest fries I’ve ever had.

Love this place. It’s quaint, yet historic, cozy, yet spacious, and relaxed, yet upholds it’s own standard of excellence.

Tuna melt with soup, French dip, Reuben with fries were amazing and cheese curd appetizer was top notch..can't wait to visit again to see more of all the photos and such decorating the walls, server was polite and efficient and it was reasonably priced

If you're looking for a laid back nostalgic vibe the Rainbow Cafe is your spot!!! Greeted by local server named Zach, hands down knows the menu, serves a mean drink and is top notch in the service department! All with a smile... Hands down best home cooked meal in Pendleton! Check it out I promise you won't be disappointed!

We arrived later than expected on our trip to Pendleton so we were worried there would be no restaurants open. We found on Google that the Rainbow Cafe was still open so we decided to try it out. The server said the kitchen was closing, but could still make some sandwiches. They were great. Our server, a young man, was very friendly. The bar had a fun atmosphere with an eclectic mix of local history and art and was playing some pretty rad 80s tunes! :) What a cool spot.

Go early !!!! We ordered the mike high omelet and I’m glad we split it… they are not shy with their portions… fresh ingredients, delicious food and the bloody Maria’s were perfect. A MUST if you’re in town for the weekend.

Breakfast at a local legend! Rainbow Cafe, Pendleton’s oldest-continuously open restaurant/bar in the same location! Going strong since 1883!!! (139 years!!) Small town feel with amazing food!

Amazing breakfast. You must try the chicken fried steak one of a kind.
I don't know about the bar at night, but we stopped in for breakfast and were extremely happy.
It takes time because of the small kitchen but its well worth the wait.

They have the best Reuben sandwich in town. I've tried them everywhere, but keep coming back for more. Their fries and soup is good too.

6 of us had the best breakfast here. From the veggie omelet to the bloody Mary's to the chuckwagon eggs Benedict. Classic old Tavern. Apparently super popular bar during the roundup.

Sat down to eat breakfast. Located in the downtown. Service was great! Food was good. Loved the atmosphere!

Beautiful pressure fried chicken, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. A lot of food for a decent price.

This was an incredibly refreshing stop after a long day's journey. The food was really good and the service was so kind and above and beyond. Mike served us. He gave friendly and fun conversation and gave us tips for our road trip. It was a breath of fresh air. We got the rainbow chicken and BLT. The chicken was very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. As a southerner, I was impressed with the texture and juiciness. However, I would personally put more spices in the breading like pepper, paprika, cayenne, garlic and onion, but that's just what I like. Mike threw in some free jojos (potato wedges). He brought my dog some water. My husband and I were really grateful for the service we received. We are definitely coming back if we pass through again!

This is the best place to eat and drink in Pendleton. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Awesome place, has pool! Great beers an ciders, ACE pineapple 🍍 recommended! Chill atmosphere with fun locals!

The fried chicken was delicious! Cocktails very yummy. The staff was friendly.

From the outside this place does not look like much, and the service is good not great. But it delivers in food quality. Truly. They've got it going on in the kitchen.

It is well worth a visit, especially at breakfast.
