Hamley Steakhouse & Saloon

We’ve been here a couple times… This place has good service and food. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us. She even went above and beyond. We will always come back. We also went to their NYE Prom themed party. So much fun!! Thank you!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

1st time eating here. This is a beautiful building. Lots of history. Our waitress, Erin, was very professional and helpful. Refilling our beverages throughout our meal. The lunch menu offered a good variety of items. My wife ordered the Turkey bacon avocado sandwich with fries. A large sandwich loaded with flavor. I ordered The Umatilla River salad, spinach based salad with a delicious piece of salmon, and homemade balsamic dressing. This was a very positive experience. Thank you for lunch.

Second time we have eaten here on our trips between Seattle and Boulder CO. Great atmosphere. Terrific steak. Great service.

This is definitely a hidden gem! Honestly, the conviviality of both patrons and staff was truly heartwarming. Small Town old western charm with good food. Well, it hardly gets better. Hunter the bartender was a gift and the prime rib was the best I've had in years.
I passed on the the baked potato for a salad as it was too much food. Excellent cocktails. I heard the country fried steak was good too.

Stopped here for lunch! Had a great time! Ambience is nice, very old school saloon. Food and drinks were great. Little store and cafe also attached. Servers were friendly, we will definitely try and return for dinner!

We had a party of ten and was seated in the wine cellar which was a special treat! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! Hamley Restaurant is a must if you are staying in Pendleton....but make reservations well in advance.

A touch of class and a little bit more. This restaurant is located in a historical building in downtown Pendleton, Oregon, and served one of the finest meals to satisfy even the most particulate palette. To start, we ordered the sautéed mushrooms (sorry, no photo), and we were brought an absolute generous portion of the tastiest and tender mushrooms. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin steak with a side, and she said it had to be the best steak she had. I ordered the Rib dinner with fries and coleslaw. I was served the largest portion of a half rack of ribs that I have ever seen. They were tender, perfect in a tangy house sauce. I can pack away a sizable meal if I wish and could not come close to consuming the entire portions on my plate. The meal was served with class and a smile. The prices are higher than most steak houses, but it was worth every penny more in a cozy, quiet, and romantic atmosphere. This place is a must check out for yourself.

I travel a lot for my job, to places in this country I would never go voluntarily (primarily small towns, and as a born and raised city boy, sometimes this is a struggle for me). Every trip I go on, I make it a goal to discover the culture of these cities, primarily through different restaurants, and for my two trips to Pendleton, I came to the Hamley Steakhouse & Saloon for dinner.

As a business traveler, I often sit at the bar to converse with the server so I have someone to talk to, and so I don't spend my entire time at these restaurants scrolling TikTok. My server both times I visited was Kirri, who was incredibly kind and talked to me a lot about the history of this establishment and the importance of it to Pendleton. Additionally, while he was not my server, Jacob would be in and out of the bar area frequently, and I generated a great rapport with him as well. The aesthetics of this restaurant are beautiful, and the friendly staff make it all the better. Thank you Kirri and Jacob for making my trip to Pendleton memorable. Y'all are great at what you do, keep making magic in the ways you do.

Atmosphere was top notch, and service was also. Food was very good. I splurged on the ribeye, touted in reviews as one of the best steaks you can buy, but I've had better. Mine was tough and chewy. The chicken cordon bleu was amazing. Peanut butter pie for dessert was one of the best I've ever had.

Amazing food here! Service was outstanding and attentive even though she was very busy with a very large group that came in right before us. The decor of the place suggests that it's been there and cared for over decades! However, the menu tells their story of only being open since 2007 I think. Beautifully crafted in an old west motif complimenting Pendleton charm. Please don't forget to click "like"!👍👍👍

I heard it was good but what I had was one of the best steaks EVER in my 72 years of life. No one on the West coast serves a ‘blue’ steak. If you want one - Texas is the place. Well damn - here I am in Pendleton and I have a steak that rivals anything I have ever had in Texas! If you are a fan of having it served ‘blue’ - this is the place. The rest of the meal was very good - the beans were cooked perfectly and the potato the same. Since it was my birthday, I splurged with a great huckleberry flan. The atmosphere suits the quality of the meal. The woodwork inside is simply remarkable. And the cowboy that greets you sets the tone!

An awesome interior, well worth the visit just for that. Our meal, a lunch, was good. Good enough. I love that the bank inside serves liquor. (A joke, but look closely at the photo)

Step back in time to the old west. Great waiter and unique atmosphere. Wish we could have walked through the store.

It’s been ten years since we stopped in for an Easter prime rib lunch on a cross country road trip, and I haven’t forgotten their delicious, perfectly cooked prime rib and very cool old character building. Hope to come back someday
