This place is so legit. All of our dishes were out of this world yum. We had crispy tuna cut roll, spam musubi, chicken pho, chicken larb, and the Mongolian beef noodles. You have to come and try this place. We're definitely coming back.

Ordered the Green Avocado Curry with chicken and they did not disappoint!! Some restaurants will skim on the chicken, but from here, my meal was loaded with meat and vegetables… there was enough for a 2nd meal. Also the curry was perfectly spiced. I would highly recommend!

Really cool find in Thousand Oaks. I liked the idea of trying some Asian fusion dishes. I tried the Thai Mein which had some really good flavors. My wife tried the sushi which seemed on par to other good sushi restaurants. Our servers were really kind and attentive. There is a nice outside patio with heat Ed and really cool indoor seating if you prefer that. I could definitely see myself coming back to this restaurant. If you are in the area give it a try!

Did a quick search for a restaurant in the area and this came up so I decided to try it out. Solid Asian fusion restaurant.

I started with a Thai tea latte iced with boba and that was pleasantly delicious. The spam musubi was on point but I should of got “easy rice” and was hoping it was at least two pieces. The calamari was also delicious and the sauce was great. The crispy hainam chicken is one of the best I’ve had. The garlic rice wasn’t too garlicky but it complimented the tender/juicy/crispy chicken pieces. The miso soup was also good and I added the leftover rice to it for a little finishing dish.

I’d definitely come back again and try some of their other food offerings.

This restaurant is amazing!! They have an incredible variety of foods and every single thing we ordered was phenomenal! The service was also wonderful! Between us we had shrimp fried rice, wonton soup, cucumber salad, miso soup and even sushi. All dishes were very tasty & authentic. The sushi was delicious - a good combo of flavors and great quality fish! In my opinion the sushi was on par with the Landing on the Lake.

On top of this, they were knowledgeable and very careful in regard to allergens! I have Celiac, so I have terrible reactions if I accidentally eat wheat/gluten. They went above and beyond and actually made me a gluten free ponzu sauce to go with the roll I ordered! They even told me they can make me fried rice gluten free! Also, my step mom has a serious shellfish allergy and they made sure to be very careful in regard to this as well.

Try this restaurant if you haven't. You will definitely find something you like! We will certainly be back!

P.S. The food display was also wonderful, so please forgive the photo... I got overly excited and ate a few pieces of the roll before I remembered to take a pic. :-)

I love the stir fry here. They were on Thousand Oaks boulevard called prawn and basil. They don't have lunch specials anymore but the food's delicious. They also have sushi in many other items.

It is a great local place to come and enjoy sushi, Thai, Chinese, and American favorites. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is great. Indoor and outdoor seating. Had the Curry Puff pastry, Crunchy Roll, Mission Soup and the house salad. All very good. Would recommend the fried bananas with coconut ice cream for dessert.

My children and I are avid food enthusiasts, and this place has become a family favorite. The orange chicken is a definite highlight, with its delightful flavor, and I personally can't get enough of the Pad Thai. Highly recommend for a delicious dining experience!

One of my favorite places to eat Asian and Asian inspired food. The menu has a bit of everything for almost everyone, sushi, noodles, classic Chinese dishes, and appetizers.

Prices are on the high side for Asian food but I always find the food to of great quality, with great service. I'm sure that it's being located next to a high end seafood restaurant and across the street from the Four Seasons, so it's not as high as it could be.

Great casual Asian Fusion place to eat. Went here for my wife’s birthday and we ordered sushi, orange chicken, chicken wraps, spicy basil chicken and pineapple fried rice. All the dishes were very good, the orange chicken is light and has a tempura texture. The Spicy basil chicken was delicious, got it medium spicy and it was not very spicy(I can handle jalapeños but not Serrano peppers). The pineapple fried rice was very good as well. The service was very good and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place to eat.

Went to Roast and Rice with friends. Kind of a strange name for a Asian Fusion restaurant. We ordered tuna and a yellow tail rolls and both were very good. Then followed up with duck roast and rice (hence the name Roast and Rice) and it was very taste. Our second dish was curry salmon - fantastic. The staff was nice and the service was good also. I will be back.

The owners of this restaurant used to have a place called Prawn and Basil on Thousand Oaks Blvd, which was outstanding but sadly didn't make it through the pandemic. Their new venture is even better. With a much expanded menu, it is probably the best Asian Fusion restaurant I can think of. Many of the dishes are hands down better than what you would get if you went to a restaurant dedicated to that cuisine, and other dishes are right up there with the best in town. We're so happy to have them back!

So I can't comment on the service because I just picked up food to go, but the Pineapple Fried Rice is absolutely to die for. I get mine without raisins. Perfectly tender chicken and just a hint of sweet from the pineapple. A really enjoyable experience.

I’ve had the kimchi fried rice three times, the Singapore noodles, and curry chicken fried rice. My bf has had the crispy chicken over rice 4 times. It has always been very tasty and consistent! The fried rices have been spicy, but delicious. Would definitely recommend.

How is this place not insanely busy at all times? Some of the most authentic South East Asian food we've had in the US. Amazing Hainese Chicken Rice, delicious Roast Duck & Rice, great crispy chicken, and the Roti and curry dipping sauce was fantastic. Just fantastic!!!

An extremely tasty meal from a menu with surprising depth! Each of the dishes we had from Roast and Rice were a unique and flavorful experience (with generous portions)- a pleasant surprise in an area where fast food and bland taste are rampant. It’s rare you find a restaurant that serves such a fusion of cuisines, and does it well! Something for everyone on this menu, covering Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Indian cuisines.

Dishes we had: Dipping Roti with Curry, Kimchi Fries, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Spicy Basil with Eggplant, Soft Shell Crab Burger, Roasted Chicken Over Rice.

The roasted chicken over rice was our favorite! The Pineapple fried rice was a sleeper hit (chicken, pineapple, raisins, and curry are a great combo). And the Pad Thai was solid as any!

Kudos to the owners (of the now closed Prawn and Basil) for bringing more good food and a pallet expanding experience to Westlake Village, best of luck, we’ll certainly be back.
