My daughter has barely had the place for 24 hours and the staff has been so helpful. Morgan from the main office and Josh from maintenance have been fantastic! The apartment was super clean upon receiving the keys!

The location in these apartments is perfect you have easy quick access to many grocery stores and business so getting what you need and going to work is a breeze. Not to mention the lake being across the street the view is perfect 4 stars.

*DO NOT APPLY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE*

Lakecrest was by far the worst apartment complex I have lived. I spent nearly my entire lease counting down the days until I could leave. Typing out all the reasons why it's so bad would take way more time that I am willing to give these people. But I will say:

Read thru all the other reviews, and take the negative ones very seriously! I wish I would have, as they all proved to be accurate. If you're like me, you may think, "well, at least they are replying to the reviews and seem to fix the problems". NOPE. Everything is always half-fixed or ignored. The staff is absolutely unreasonable, condescending, and could clearly care less about you as a tenant or running an apartment complex.

IF YOU HAVE DOGS, you will be paying A LOT per month and they do not keep the grounds clean. The trash that's left in the grass gets mowed over in the summer creating lots of tiny garbage pieces everywhere, and they also do not make sure people are cleaning up after their dogs, so walks are constantly unenjoyable and you will always have to watch out for poop piles.

There is no central AC and you cannot control the heat at all in the winter. It gets so hot that everyone either opens their windows or uses their window air conditioner (in the winter!!!). The place is generally just falling apart, and many of the current tenants there don't care about making it a decent place. Packages are constantly stolen and there is garbage everywhere, all the time.

I would not recommend this to anyone unless you are desperate to have a roof over your head. If you must apply, ask LOTS of questions and I would highly recommend going with another person or recording your conversations with these people.

They said they did an inspection, the first week. Well when I checked my stove it did not work, then it took until the next Tuesday, when I moved in on Monday to get a functioning stove. A week and a day. I got a random package from I don't know who and asked the property if they could send maintenance because it's 127 pound package they said it was against their policy to toss it even though it has NO FRICKIN NAME ON IT. Only a week of being here and it just feels like disrespectful, and Morgan when I first move in waited until the day before she'd be off for 5 days to tell me I needed to change what day my electric bill would start because she wouldn't be in and I wouldn't be able to move in if i didnt take care of that. The electric man was great and got it fixed thank god but their lack of competence truly shows. This place is seriously unclassy, disrespectful, and overpriced if this is how they treat residents paying 700+.

DO NOT APPLY TO THESE APARTMENTS.
I applied and paid the crazy price of $50 just to submit an application. After that I was forced to pay another $150 just to hold my spot on a waiting list. This was the first of many frustrating things as I had already been told by management that they had an opening and then found out this was not true when I filled out the application.
I could not move forward until I paid the extra $150 so I called management and asked if this would be refunded if I chose to not move forward with getting an apartment at Lakecrest. I was assured over the phone that I would receive the money back should I choose at any point to not move forward. This was a complete lie.
About a month into the waiting process I finally was told something was coming available. Unfortunately, it was not at the location I had applied for. I asked if I could look at the apartment, but of course I was not allowed to (I actually was never able to tour any of the apartments which should have been a red flag from the beginning). I decided to move forward with the process simply because at this point I was desperate for housing.
Next, I was sent an estimate of the move in cost which was an outrageous $2,000, even though my monthly rent would only be around $750 and the $150 that I had already put down was supposed to go towards the first month of rent. I tried to ask about the fees and was given no explanation except for a spreadsheet emailed to me which supposedly explained everything. It was confusing and not helpful at all.
At this point I was very frustrated and felt wary of moving forward with this apartment so I informed my contact at Lakecrest that I was no longer interested and asked for my $150 refund. She told me that I could not get a refund and was very rude to me. She said the only way I could maybe be refunded was if I reached out to corporate, but of course she would not give me any information on how to do that.
Overall, this whole experience was incredibly frustrating. Management was dishonest with me and I lost $200 due to their manipulation and coercion. I would highly advise anyone who is looking for a decent place to live to go elsewhere.

Don't move here. When it comes to fixing issues, they do patch work. I've had my apartment flood before, and have had several leaks in the bathroom. The water damage was never fixed properly. They charge too much for so little. You can't control your own thermostat, kitchen space is too small for what you pay. Find a better place to live if you. If not, don't stay here for anything longer than a year.

I'd give them negative stars if I could.

0 stars if I could give 0 stars

Things to know before moving in,
If you turn off the Air Conditioning and close the windows in the winter, it gets up over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The Model apartment is NOT like the actual apartments, the actual apartments are falling apart, dirty, and very outdated. If you like cooking in or on a stove, forget it because they give you a less than half sized oven. They will not do anything about noise complaints or secondhand smoke (cigarettes or otherwise) so do not bother asking. They do not take care of the landscaping outside. The parking lot is falling apart. The outside doors are propped open often so people can just walk right in. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers per building. There are 84 apartments in each building by the way. Overall, if you have not signed the lease yet, do not do it.

I've lived at Lakecrest Shoreline since September 2017. I cannot wait to leave, I am literally counting down the days. I heard not so pleasant of things about this property, but I needed a place to live ASAP, so went ahead and tried it because it was so reasonable.

I can't get my apartment to not be a blazing hot oven. I have had to use my AC all winter and it barely makes a dent. I have had my windows open many a 30º night (especially since my AC froze up because its obviously too cold to run AC).

My upstair's neighbor's toilet overflowed. How do I know? Well the toilet-water waterfall pouring from my bathroom's vent was a pretty clear indication. After placing a maintenance request alerting the property of this issue, they told me there wasn't much they could do. They replaced something upstairs and that was it. My apartment now smells mildewy and awful, and I wouldn't be surprised if mold was involved. (PS: Other friends who've lived at this property reported similar toilet-overflow situations happening to them, so if you do live here, request the third floor..)

On top of that all, I pay my rent on time, all of the time. They recently switched management companies (with NO NOTICE, btw. I had mail coming to my apartment that couldn't be delivered because there is no longer an office on the property, you have to drive to LakeCrest Ravine's office to get any packages) and there was a mysterious credit to my account. Tried to call - said they would figure it out and call me back. Two weeks later I get a voicemail threatening me to report me to lawyers for not paying rent - that I couldn't pay due to said credit on the account. I got charged a late fee (whatever I guess.)

My building currently has a missing door in the hallway (more than a few weeks) - which is HUGE FIRE HAZARD. And the exit sign has also been out of commission above said door for even longer.

No one cares about this apartment complex, no one cares about you as a tenant, and when you do need something you get attitude and rude interactions.
