I will say, Zoë the bartender is the reason this place runs the way it does. She’s got a passion and kindness that is just so genuine and pure when it comes to taking care of the guests that come to Hickory Tavern. She’s got a true hand when it comes to pouring drinks; every drink she’s ever made me has been the BEST drink I’ve ever had. To the point, that even though I’m a picky drinker, she’s worked with me to create the perfect concoction!! At any point I can tell her what I’m in the mood for, and she’s quick to put a drink to match the occasion. Thanks Zoë for making this place as awesome as it is, and helping me find a regular bar to spend my money at. Definitely the best recommendation for the best bar to go to in this small town!

Yesterday was our first time, and it was 100% a great experience all the way around. Our server Gina was awesome answered all our questions gave us recommendations and was so patient with us. Everything on the menu looked so great it was hard to decide and I am a picky eater and even I was interested in a lot of their options. And then the food comes...OMGOODNESS so much flavor and hot would definitely recommend 10/10 one of my new favorite places. Their PR guy even got us an order of wings to go. Will be coming back soon so many new things to try but I already love the smokehouse burger...

First time at this location and the food was delicious. The pretzel bites were an awesome appetizer. Look forward to coming back again and trying some new things, especially the loaded nachos we kept seeing go by our table.

Food is always good here. The pretzel bites and shrimp appetizers are really good. We have been several times and everything has been good. Nice atmosphere with plenty to watch on the tvs. Service is usually on top of it. Seating times are pretty good with several booths and high tops to choose from. There is outdoor seating. Parking is adequate.

Good atmosphere food and service. Had the Cajun rub wings. Very nice night out. They have a great tasting low carb bun for their burgers. I recommend that you get it. I felt like I was family here. Thank you hickory tavern. I look forward to returning.

HUGE shout out to Zoë at the bar! She's incredibly attentive, very accommodating, and can make the perfect cocktail for any occasion. Without a doubt, she is HANDS DOWN the best bartender I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This place wouldn't be the same without her.

Held my son's wedding rehearsal dinner in the event room here Friday night!
From the word "Go" this was an amazing experience. The entire staff went above and beyond. The GM was fantastic! So helpful. The manager, Scott was great. The lead waitress, Emma Willhite who was assigned to our party, and waitress Gina Jackson were terrific!! Everything went so smoothly. The food was great! The service was great! Definitely recommend this place for your next event. All the guest had a wonderful time.

After a rough week prior to my visit, I really needed a good pick me up. And wow did my visit change my whole mood. Zoe single handedly made me smile for the first time in what feels like forever. I can’t possibly thank her enough for her wonderful soul and cheerful words.

Mattie is freaking awesome. Not only was he engaged and entertaining but was extremely helpful in both our food and drink selections. I have been to Hickory Tavern dozens of times and while I have always had a positive experience, I can say without exaggeration that Mattie is the reason I will go out of my way to encourage others to visit, just in case he is behind the bar. An outstanding face of the establishment and one I genuinely can’t wait to see again and again.

We enjoyed a great family meal. Food and service were over the top. The cost was reasonable. We will return.

I had the turkey melt tonight and it was delicious! The new way they are melting the cheese and the awesome toasted bread made it perfect! John the bartender is always fun to talk to and our food came out quickly.

First off our bartender Matt was phenomenal. He made the best Bloody Mary I have ever had, and I make a mean one myself. Then we get our food. My lady got an awesome burger. I got a ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Great service, great food, and a chill atmosphere. Thanks to all!!!

I LOVE MATTIE! I was visiting from California and Mattie was an absolute bright spot of my visit. His recommendations and suggestions were perfect and lead to a wonderfully enjoyable drinking and dining experience. I can't wait for my next visit just to see Mattie again and the rest of the great staff at Hickory Tavern in Indian Land.
