Big View Diner

Big View is the closest thing to a Jersey diner that we've found in this area. Not only is the food tasty, but the variety of choices on the menu are vast. It almost feels like being back home in NJ.

Although breakfast is a staple of diner food, my standard choice here is the Ancient Grains Bowl with salmon on top. It is rare that I can find a restaurant that offers a bowl or salad like this that I don't have to modify in some way (because I'm picky and don't like onions, mushrooms, etc.). Big View's Ancient Grains Bowl is perfect as is. The beets are cut evenly and cooked well. Same with the sweet potatoes. The avocados are ample and the greens are fresh. The salmon is always perfectly grilled and seasoned, which is quite impressive for a diner.

My mother was visiting from NJ and loved Big View as well. She was so excited to see Loaded Avocado Toast as a choice and was not disappointed with her meal.

We were also with a 12 year old and a 6 year old. One got waffles with fruit and one got a pancake with eggs. Both kids were extremely satisfied. They were even more satisfied with the bakery section where the two of them spilt a giant cinnamon roll. Huge and gooey and sweet and they couldn't finish even half of it.

Overall, we highly recommend Big View Diner!

Very interesting. Not like anything around. Kind of 80s style but very fancy diner. Had soup, burger and stroganoff. It was great. On a way out got desert to go. If you sit at the bar, not the view you would normally get. No beer or alcohol just coffee and soda. But you can still order a drink, they will just bring it from the back. Interesting. Prices on everything is good specially considering the area you are in.

Great food at a Biden nomic's price. 2 adults 1 kids meal and a side of home fries and 2 sodas with tip $55+ Our server was very attentive . Ordered the eggs Benedict eggs were over cooked. Very tasty . I did clean my plate. Kids had pancakes.

Big View Diner located at 16637 Lancaster Hwy, Charlotte, NC 28277 is a phenomenal diner! Very, very nicely decorated Restaurant that doesn’t feel like a Diner at all. Great food, service and the prices are fair too. Quite a varied menu too. Most recently I got their Turkey Dinner and my wife got their Steak Salad. Both were great. Manager came by and she was excellent too. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Tremendous bakery too for cakes and pies.

This was our first visit to the Big View Diner. Our party of 5 all ordered breakfast. Our server Kareem was very pleasant and nice. All of our orders came out on time and we're all correct. The prices were very reasonable.

The Big View Diner`is a nice place to eat and seems "upscale" but with down-home prices and portion sizes. Don’t feel the need to get dressed up — just come as you are. The food is amazing and the service was on point. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Timothy was kind, caring, and extremely efficient. He managed the bar area and the tables with speed and caring. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. I do have a concern as the portion of cake that was prepared as take out was oddly cut. The portion ended up being less than the usual portion size. Going forward maybe the person cutting the desserts would need more instruction on how to repair a miss cut. Timothy did NOT know about this issue as he only refastened the packaging on the top item in the take out bag which was a regular size piece of chocolate cake. All in all I will be back as the food and service are delightful. This was a minor issue that I trust will be handled smoothly.

Our family of 4 came in for dinner on a Saturday. The host was pleasant, and we were seated quickly. Our server Kat was the absolute best! She was very attentive and gave exceptional service. The food came out quickly, and the portion sizes were good. My fish was seasoned well and super crispy. Everyone enjoyed their food. We would definitely recommend this place.

Came in today after landing in Charlotte from an early flight from NJ. Our server, Kareem offered us water and coffee, as well as hot chocolate for my sister who didn’t want black coffee. After grabbing our drinks, Kareem was very helpful in recommending menu items, one of them being the French toast and avocado toast. We also wanted a side of home fries and Kareem recommended get crispy home fries with a plate of scrambled eggs with cheese. The food was delicious and was very filling after a morning of traveling. The service was amazing and efficient as Kareem kept checking up on us in making sure we had a good experience. Will come back again!!!

Stumbled on this restaurant yesterday morning in search of a simple toasted bagel to carry out for my daughter at a nearby hotel. The service and staff here were so friendly I ended up there today as well - so both mornings we were in town. It’s the little things that can make someone’s day.

It was such a small order but the staff was so friendly on both days I just had to write this review.

I had my baby shower in the private room and I truly can’t say enough good things about this place!! The atmosphere, the food, the hospitality was 10000/10!! Ally the manager, Hibbah the pastry chef, our server Toni, Mayya, everyone went above and beyond for us truly. It’s been 2 days and my family and I are still talking about how amazing the food and desserts were. Hibbah and Ally were in constant contact leading up to the event making sure everything was taken care of. I will be referring all my friends and family here and I will be definitely coming back for the amazing food and sweets! Thanks again for everything. If I could give 100 stars I would!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Being from Jersey (the land of the best diners ever) this is the best diner we have found outside of Jersey! We have eaten here 3 times now and each time we have loved it and can't wait to come back! Raven was our server and she was absolutely amazing! Very positive and friendly attitude from start to finish. She brought us extra drinks without us asking, her timing for ordering our food, asking us if we needed boxes and bringing our check was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better service. I have been coming here for years and the food has never disappointed me. The chicken tender are honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The fries are just okay. Their chicken noodle soup is so comforting. When I got my wisdom teeth out I ate it every day. The prices have become outrageous though, especially for the soup.

My server Kareem was great. Very accommodating and nice. He also gave us some good recommendations on what breakfast to order. Will be coming back!

This was a lovely experience. The family and I went here last night and had some really nice food. Typically, when you think about a diner you think greasy spoon style place, limited presentation, staff who are there for the money and not the customers, and rubbish coffee. That is not the case with The Big View. Think upscaled versions of diner favorites.

We started with some onion rings which are quite possibly the best onion rings I have ever had. Beautifully crispy, not super greasy, thick breading, and a house dipping sauce that keeps you coming back for more.

I had a patty melt with an added fried egg, it came on house baked, griddled rye and was excellent. Fries were beautiful and crispy too.

My wife had the English Breakfast Burger minus the bacon plus mushroom. This was a monster of a burger but was really excellent. She had the sweet potato fries which were also very nice.

Daughter had the kids sliders with broccoli and ate it all up without so much as a sound. She loved it!

Lastly, we took home a monstrous slice of Oreo Cheesecake that was incredibly rich and must be shared by at least two people. It was very nice and something you'll want to take your time to enjoy.

Finally, I would like to make a comment on the staff. This was the hardest working group of restaurant workers I have seen in an extremely long time. Not only that, they seemed to all really be enjoying themselves, lots of good camaraderie which led to great customer service and, therefore, happy customers.

The food was great and so was our server, Kareem. He made it extra special for our birthday event We added changes in our dishes and he got everything correct. Our drinks stayed full and he was super professional. Great portions of food. And again, Kareem was fantastic!

Our server, Kristin, I think, was fantastic!! She anticipated my needs before I could even ask. She even put my son's plate back under the warmer when he had to step away. She was so sweet and friendly. I haven't had customer service that good in a long time. There were lots of returning customers there and we will now be a part of that crowd when we are in town

Food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. If u haven't tried this place...u r short changing your taste buds...the Mac and cheese needed a little help
