A return visit for me, the Pleasant Pheasant is an absolute perfect destination for anyone looking to explore all that Montana has to offer. We recently stayed here for 7 nights in July with 8 adults and 7 children ranging from 7 to 70 and everyone in the group enjoyed the accommodations. The view from the porch, the activities on property, and the proximity to all that Montana and Wyoming has to offer made for a phenomenal stay. The owners are very accommodating to every request and maintain a great property for large groups to relax and enjoy.

Our time at The Pleasant Pheasant was very well spent. Our group consisted of 14 adults and 5 teens. The accommodations were perfect for us, plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms for all of us. The views from the property are beautiful. We were able to enjoy the porches as we watched deer graze in the meadow. We were there in July and though the days were hot the temperature in the house, bunkhouse and cabin stayed cool with the fans on and the windows open.
We were able to visit Yellowstone twice during our stay, the drive from The Pleasant Pheasant was less than an hour to the north entrance.
Margie, the owner, was very accommodating and responded promptly to my emails. We plan to return in the near future.

We just had our second wonderful family gathering at the Pleasant Pheasant and it was again a great place to spend the week. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 4 kids—last summer we had 8 adults and 6 kids and didn’t feel crowded at all! The owners have very thoughtfully provided every little thing that we could possibly need— from kitchen equipment to bandages to warm jackets. The setting is so beautiful and the views from the big porch and the windows are stunning. There are so many activities available close by that we could hardly fit them in—fly fishing, family friendly hikes, horseback riding, river rafting, swimming(at Chico Hot Springs and the Livingston community pool) , Yellowstone Park, and just playing on the grounds. This is truly a favorite place for our family to gather and we hope to return another summer.

Our family spent a week at the Pleasant Pheasant in June (13 of us) and had a great time! The place is just beautiful. The property is immaculate and the accomodations are fantastic. The view is breathtaking. If you want to get away from the craziness of the city life, head to the Pleasant Pheasant (PP) and spend a week just enjoying life. We went horseback riding, skeet shooting, swimming, hiking, rafting, fishing and even flew a kite all within just a few miles of the property. The place is well looked after and you will have a blast whether it be a family reunion to a weeklong get away or even a wedding. We will definitely be back soon! The owners are great and were very flexible as to our needs. The caretaker is a great person who helped us learn our way around as we had never been to Montana but now think of it as our second home. If you want to stay in Paradise Valley (and who wouldn’t), the Pleasant Pheasant is the only place to consider. We can’t wait to come back! Don’t miss out on one of the best places for fun and adventure. Montana is just breathtaking. The location is perfect for any of several day trips to Yellowstone or to Big Sky. Thank you Walter and Margie, your accommodations are all that we could ask for in a MT vacation. Hope to be back soon.
