Absolutely gorgeous. Trust all the other reviews and comments: this hike is not easy. The uphill is grueling and at some points a scramble. There are several river crossings, wear proper shoes! Well worth it for the views, but pace yourself.

Went on 7-19-23 for a drive and hike, it was a nice mile hike up to the falls, absolutely beautiful !! 85* spent about an hour at the falls, it was another 4 mile hike to the lake and straight up, may try next time and be more prepared. It was beautiful and peaceful, and worth the hike !!

This hike has some up and down with a relatively steep hill at the end. This a beautiful waterfall with a bonus falls on the back side of the rock. In the spring it had quite few areas where is was very wet.

Only went as far as the falls this time but it was BEAUTIFUL. A great hike and the few people (and dogs) we passed along the way were super friendly. Overall a beautiful way to spend the day off 😌

Easy hike, around 40 minutes up and 30 back to the waterfalls. Only steep section is right before the falls. Make sure you cross the small bridge so that you can see the second fall

If you are going to hike all the way up to the lake, it is important to know that this is an ambitious and pretty challenging hike. It ascends 3500 feet in the six miles up the trail with the most difficult climb in the last mile. Plan on it taking most of the day. The view is worth it. We encountered mosquitos right when we got to the lake, but very few on the trail.

This is not an easy hike. The elevation gain after the falls is insane. Me my wife and daughter attempted to make the lake but unfortunately did not make it. Coming from Minnesota where we hike a lot and I do mean a lot we were just not ready for the altitude. Though we did not make it this time we will be back and try again. I will say with every step came a better view and all the people we met on the trail ( and there was a bunch) were all super nice and gave great word of encouragement and affirmation both of what we had already accomplished and for what lies ahead. I have found I LOVE MONTANA!!!

Awesome hike. This is one of the most popular camping trips in the area. 5.75 miles uphill with at least 3000 feet of elevation.

Fantastic hike! Moderately hard for those who are fit and/or avid hikers. Really cool lakes at the top! About 10 miles round trip to get to the lakes, but so worth it!

Just an idyllic, verdant, wonderful hike with a gorgeous canopy... we hiked to the beautiful falls but didn’t make it to the lake. We were living in a dreamland in this wonderful place....

Great short easy hike with some elevation. Great views of the river along the trail in the forest with the waterfall at the end. Recommend going during the week. heavily used trail with alot of people on the weekends. Lots of bugs as well, but as expected for summertime in the woods. Did not make it to the lake as the trail got extremely difficult after this for the next 4 miles

Fun little hike to the falls. Would love to see what a spring snow melt does to the dual waterfalls.
