Perfect little campground when heading towards Yellowstone. We arrived at night, hoping to find an empty spot and there were multiple....greeted by lots of deer when we woke up in the morning.

If you like nice out of the way camp grounds, this is a good place. Miles off the highway on a single lane paved road. I took a 19 foot 5th wheel camper in. There is one tight switch back to navigate and is interesting if you meet someone coming the other way. Very quiet.

We camped in loop A, number 5, for 4 days from August 24 thru 28. This is the most scenic location we have ever camped. The trailhead to Pine Creek Falls is in the campground and it is a beautiful walk.

We were there for a wedding at the adjacent Luccock Park Church Camp and it was an easy walk down to the wedding site, photo included.

The campsite hosts were very pleasant when they came by to warn us about the bears smelling cooking orders if we were to use our grill.

However, a warning. We were towing a small car behind our 34 foot class A motorhome. The road up to the camp is about 2.8 miles from the highway along the Yellowstone River and it is very steep and narrow. There are a few pull offs but it was a white knuckle driving experience going up....coming down was easier. With a smaller camper this is a world class camping site

Lovely forest service campground near Livingston, yet remote. Road into campground was single lane, but two-way traffic. So drive carefully. Probably best to not take big RVs and trailers up this road. Sites were well spaced. Some reservable, others first come. Good system of tagging sites that are available for a night or two. We had site 16 near a little creek and meadow. Vault toilets were very clean and didn’t smell bad. Toilet paper plentiful. Hosts are doing a great job here. Thanks!

Our family had a wonderful 2 nights tent camping here while in Montana. The creek was very close for casual messing around, and there are a few great trails you can walk. We hiked the trail to the Pine Creek Falls, and though we felt it was a challenging hike for us as not exceptionally active people, we all made it in about 3 hours round trip from our camp site, including a lot of time exploring the falls.

We saw a variety of wildlife both in our campground and while hiking. Mountain lions and bears are occasional visitors here, bring your bear spray and hike with at least 1 partner.

Vault toilets were some of the nicest and best maintained I've seen. My son, who normally complains about them, never made an issue about using them.

A beautiful treat in the wintertime. The piled high snow in the lot may be difficult for some vehicles, but parking further down can help. The outhouse was also open in the middle of December, which is a plus.

Nice quiet campground. Sites are big and private. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Would go back in a heart beat. Was removed from the main road and access road was narrow but paved.

This campground was everything we could've hoped for. The views were beautiful, the sites private, and the vault toilets clean. The only part that was a little nerve wracking was the fact that there had just been a bear in the campground, but that just adds to the adventure, right?

Steeper and longer to the waterfall than I thought. But, so worth the effort.

We have always loved this place. A lot of outhouses, great 1 mile hike up to the falls, or a nice short walk along the creek near the campgrounds. They have a covered structure for large groups to have a day time get together with outside grills (bring your own charcoal!).

This is our 2nd time up this month and it's all beautiful country in and around Paradise valley. There's also a National Park TV campground at the trailhead. We're planning to stay here next year for a few days.

This campground is beautiful. Feels very remote but it’s really close to town. Sites aren’t completely private but you still feel like you have your own space.

One of the most beautiful sites in Montana. No electricity or water, pit toilets but still great. First come first served worked for us. Great camp hosts this year.

What a great place! We spent 6 nights tent camping at Pine Creek Campground (a National Forest campground) about 20 minutes south of Livingston, MT, before and through the Memorial Day holiday. Thanks to a Google search we found this place! As a base camp the Pine Creek Campground was perfect. Quiet. Bug-free. Clean. Pit Toilets were clean and mostly smell-free. Campground hosts were very attentive and helpful (despite our being new to grizzly bear country).

Super quiet before the holiday weekend and even when the campground was full, it was quiet after 10pm. Lots of local families. We hiked up to the Pine Creek Falls (2-3mile r/t easy/mod walk) and it was beautiful. Nice short day hike with lots of other visitors.

As a base camp Pine Creek Campground was perfect to get resupplied in Livingston (the coolest town in MT) and if you wan to visit Yellowstone, it's only 40+ miles south with easy access to Mammoth Hot Springs (lots and lots of people there) but when we went to Lamar Valley in late May it was spectacular (SPECTACULAR) with thousands of bison and calves.

Another bonus is Chico Hot Springs..only 10 minutes down the road. Nothing like a late afternoon hot soak! Perfect.

Highly Recommended. :)

Awesome campground! We stayed there on an epic motorcycle trip in the summer of 2014. We pulled in during a torrential downpour and took shelter under the nice structure that was built by the University architecture school I believe and used for gatherings and what not. The hosts greeted us shortly after and had dry firewood and were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The photo I added is from the road leading in you get a great panoramic view of the valley below. This campground is very quiet and secluded and off any main roads and in the morning we had a visit from a mamma deer and her baby right in our campground. Highly recommend!

Great campground, with rentable large groups picnic and bar-b-q shelter etc. Water available and several outhouses. Awesome trail head opportunities. The hike to the Pine Creek falls is a local favorite because it is an absolutely gorgeous hike that you can take kids and even some younger children on. More advanced hikers can go on to the lake, which sits on the top of Paradise Valley.

Very nice park away from the crowds. Drive slow once on the single lane road.
