ALWAYS our go-to when up at Mt Rainier. Wish Rainier Services would mimic their Paradise Lodge Inn restaurant more like this one. But, caution on their hours! We drove down from Paradise just to have lunch before they closed for lunch, and they were closed at least a half hour before the website AND their menu showed. We had out-of-state guests, and I was NOT a "happy camper" and I voiced it!

We stopped by here for breakfast on out last day of our 6 day backpacking trip. I got the harvest hiker’s omelette and Wow their potatoes were REALLY GOOD and perfectly salted

Service was fast, and my waitress was super nice. You can't beat the atmosphere of eating breakfast in a historic national park lodge before hiking in epic scenery.

The pork chop and salad were great. We got takeout and ate on their porch.

I haven't seen that kind of gas pump since I was at Mineral Point, CA in 1971

Fast service. The cobb salad was a great choice for lunch.Wait staff is very friendly. Charming atmosphere. Prices are appropriate. They are open every day of the week for all meals
Reservations aren't necessary, bUT they take them.

Service is not as fast as in cities but again we are in the mountains to relax, why hurry???

The location is perfect. After 4 5 hours of hiking, a restaurant with healthy food options is all I need.

I didn't expect much because of the reviews, but my friend and I were pleasantly surprised!

I'd recommend making a reservation at the front desk (day of was okay) for dinner. We split a wild rice salad with chicken, the roasted chicken, and a berry crumble dessert. All of which were pretty substantial and tasty!

The roasted chicken came with crispy brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. The dessert came warm with cream on top and it was very enjoyable as it wasn't too sweet.

There were 2 servers so it was a bit short-staffed, but they were friendly and the food didn't take long. Overall it was a great dinner, I definitely was surprised the other reviews were so low.

There's alot going on with this place. It's a historic building and I don't think the dining room has ac so the weather will be a factor in how enjoyable your experience is. We stopped in for dinner after a few hikes and were promptly seated but I felt like we waited about 10 minutes before anyone ever took our order. It wasn't very busy. There were 2 servers for 7 tables but our server was very nice once she came by. The prices were a little steep but the portions were generous. The roasted chicken was amazing! Probably the best roasted chicken I've ever had. Bison meatloaf was pretty good as well. The salads looked very impressive as well. Carrot cake was decent. It was a good meal but you're paying for an "in the park" premium.

Stopped here on the way to Mt. Ranier because we figured it would be easier to grab food here than to wait closer to paradise. I ordered the chef's grilled cheese and it was extremely delicious. I absolutely loved the flavor combinations. Partner got the veggie burger and thought it was mediocre, but we also got some fresh fruit and chips. Lovely view of the mountain while you wait since it was take-out service only.

We stopped by after a day of hiking and honestly the food was great, we had the hummus platter and split the cheese burger and was really good, wished the burger was a little more pink but overall very good, a little pricey and seems like they can use a little more staff. But still worth it.

Stopped here for dinner and breakfast while camping in Mt Rainier National Park. Was pleased that the menu offered many vegetarian options including the Vegetarian Lasagna and Tofu Scramble. Appetizers were also excellent, especially the Asparagus.

Quick service, staff is fine, and the food was good.

Expensive, but absolutely tasty! Got the grilled cheese and tofu banh mi and would get them again for sure!
