Sushi Sakana Southlake

Fantastic food and good interior. All the ingredients seemed very fresh and it was all very tasty. The tempura was crunchy and hot, and the roll was delicious. Only thing is the yakisoba could have had a little more sauce.

This was by far the best sushi!! Everything was incredible! We had the beef dumplings and crab Rangoon to start with and both were the best I’ve ever had! We ordered the Vegas roll and the special dragon roll both were fantastic!! I was stationed in Japan for over three years and the sushi here rivals what I had there. This is a must try because everything is fantastic from the beginning all the way to the dessert. The presentation of the food was beautiful and my fiancé was very impressed! The staff I should add was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! Esther was especially kind and a wonderful server! These photos don’t do it justice.

Found my new favorite sushi place in Southlake. Don't be fooled by the strip shopping center location, the atmosphere, friendly service, and sushi are on point! We had the white tuna sashimi, which, besides being excellent, was a generous serving size. For dinner, we had two of the no rice rolls which we absolutely spot on. HIGHLY Recommend this place to all sushi lovers in or near Southlake!

We love Sakana Sushi in Southlake! We love the clean, stylish ambiance. We always have great service, the rolls, sashimi and food has great flavor. The fish always tastes fresh and I specifically love the glasses their serve their drinks in as well as the darling little Orange treat they bring at the end. ❤

Every time we eat here we have the best sushi and the best customer service. Everything is super fresh and tastes amazing. My go to rolls are the Golden Gate, Spicy Kiss, Shogun, Ranger and Spicy Tuna… The Bulgogi is phenomenal as well.

Absolutely impressed by the good service and the tasty food. The sushi chef is professional for sure. The interior of the restaurant is nice and clean. I enjoyed the dinner a lot. I will definitely come back.

This establishment is amazing! The atmosphere, the staff & the food. Everyone was so friendly & attentive. It's decorated so nice & cute. The bathrooms are very clean. The food is delicious.

The food is awesome, they have a lot of a sushi options(with photos!) and the regular menu is fantastic.

I’ve been to most sushi places in the area and this place blows them out of the water in all categories.

It’s better than Nikko in Southlake town square, go here instead.

Everything was fantastic! Had 3 different rolls and they were all fabulous. We also got a bento box and karaga(fried chicken) and they were spot on. Highly recommend. Savannah was a great server and the place was very clean.

Wow I was thoroughly surprised with this place. In the midst of suburbia close to DFW. Honestly when was the last time you found decent and authentic Ethnic food near an airport?? We came for a late dinner (8p) and it was one of the few places still open. The ambience of the restaurant is right on, similar to any sushi real sushi bar. They did forget those ubiquitous giant gaudy red lanterns lolol. Just kidding I don't miss those. The servers were were prompt and attentive. But oh the food! We ordered Chicken Katsu, Tonkatsu Ramen, and Salmon Skin Roll. Holy cow. My friend said the Katsu was like the Katsu he had in Tokyo. The Tonkatsu was just as good as Zen Box Izakaya which was my top pick from my Ramen tour. The broth was deep and the car siu was insane. The bonus was the egg was seasoned which was a nice surprise. It made up for the fact that it wasn't med-rare. And last but not least, I was out of my mind with the Salmon Skin Roll. It's so rare to find it on a menu, so I had to get it. For the uninitiated salmon skin is like bacon of the sea. They deep dry the skin and put it in sushi. But these guys cut the skin with a little meat on. Man the bite is like what you witness on the original Japanese Iron Chef shows. You take a bite of the pickled ginger first for the sour and slightly sweet, the you get the veggies and the vinegar from the sushi rice, and then the explosion from the saltiness and the salmon oil from the salmon "bacon." HEAVEN!

Well if you only get one thing on a trip to Dallas, it's salmon skin roll at Sakana Sushi.

After long hide-out from Covid-19, we want some fresh healthy foods and ventured to this location. The foods were great. My wife and two kids really enjoyed the high quality foods and presentation.

This restaurant is fantastic. It was my first time really back in my hometown for years so I Googled sushi places & found the best sushi I’ve had in awhile or maybe ever! It was incredibly fresh and tasty, and the owner is from Korea. What a great server too, you need to go here.

Oh man what a hidden gem of restaurant! Service was excellent & the sushi is extremelly delicious. The fire cracker sushi was bomb and the cocounut shrimp were esquisite. I mean even the dumplings were good.
Left with a smile from ear to ear. Will 100% come back and recommend!

Absolutely delicious! I am so happy we found this place. Their rolls are delicious, as well as their yakisoba. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous! Beautiful and relaxing.
