COV Wayzata

Visited again recently, and I am sad that my favorite starter, smoked salmon, was removed from the menu. Hope it could be returned back to the menu.
My friend and I have visited this restaurant many times. And we all love the smoked salmon as the starter.

When someone visited, this restaurant would always across my mind because of the foods and location.
It located around the Wayzata lake, without a doubt, the environment and view around are great.
Walked inside the restaurant, can see the bright wall and design. Overall looks clean and have a good atmosphere.
The service is fantastic. They are so helpful on ordering and nice.
The overall foods are fabulous.
Always have salmon as the starter.
The cream cheese was amazing! Love this so much.
That was kind of my first time to try Gnocchi, and it totally amazed me! The performance and taste are both awesome. Love that dish!
Fingers potatoes was okay. I didn't like that much.
Overall, recommend this restaurant for foods, atmosphere, and the service.

Super nice location. A train rolls by and is loud but the lake is viewable after that.

If I rated this place of the caramel bun, it would be a 6.

The side bacon was the biggest hunk o bacon ever at a restaurant.

Service was great and the food was excellent. Had the French dip, it was more than I needed to eat and I could have shared, had I been with someone however it was So Good I couldn't resist sitting the whole thing while relaxing and looking out at the lake, yum😋

Yes! We came here for brunch. My wife ordered the chicken flatbread from the happy hour menu. I had quiche florentine from the brunch menus. Both were excellent. The portions are generous (see pictures). We could have split our meals, especially the quiche. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful with lots of natural light.

Great happy hour menu, but get there early or you're going to be waiting for a while. Well made dishes with excellent service, you can't go wrong here for a nice night out, but be prepared to open your wallet. This is a splurge unless you really stick to the happy hour menu and don't go crazy.

Good place to have a date with your favorite team. Very stylish and cozy. A good season to visit this site is in summer, as it offers a patio with an amazing view of the lake. The food is very well prepared and they are generous with the quantity. Their bar is amazing as they have experienced pure bartenders and their selection of drinks and cocktails is excellent. The area where the place is located is "Wayzata" considered one of the most attractive in Minnesota. You should definitely visit it. Important note: in summer this place is usually busier than usual after noon

What can I say? This spot will always get 5 stars from me being so close to the water and an amazing view of it!! But the food is mediocre to good. Not excellent. But who cares? The vibe, the bougie interior make up for it and did I mention the view??

I've been here three times and have tried the calamari, truffle fries, fish & chips, bbq spare ribs, halibut spread with crackers and thought overall, all the dishes were good but not great considering how expensive this place is. For starters the calamari was chewy and the halibut spread was a bit dry. I also think it should be served with pita bread instead of crackers.

They do have a well priced Happy Hour menu with a variety of my favorite appetizers and an extensive drink menu with delicious signature cocktails. My favorites are Cosmic Intervention and Pink Lady.

Parking is easy and accessible. The wait time can be long but there is the park nearby and the boardwalk to the boats with a beautiful scenery that warrants great photo ops and a nice way to kill time.

Amazing views from their patio seating area make this a memorable dining experience. Their service and good food make it worth it!!

We loved their Buffalo Cauliflower; tasty and spicy. I wouldn’t recommend the Loaded Baled Potato, which was pretty bland for our tastebuds. I also enjoyed the mushroom gnocchi; very well done, and yum!!

Service is fantastic and we also got lucky to catch a train passing by the lake during our dinner.

A great stop for Happy Hour with friends or family meal. The selections are delicious, the service fantastic! Looking forward to an outstanding Mother's day brunch. It's one of my favorite places to dine.

Excellent food and service. This is my favorite place to eat and drink in Wayzata. The patio is gorgeous and has a fantastic view of the lake. The menu has a wide variety of food options and they offer delicious craft cocktails. Service is fast, friendly, and professional.

Nice restaurant with a great layout right on the waterfront. Supper convenient if you are coming by boat as it is right next to the wayzata public docs.

The food itself was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The place can get a little busy but it’s never more then a short wait to get a table. I recommend trying the patio on a nice summer evening.

Two call outs to consider:

While the food is good, I personally felt the prices were a bit high for what you got. I tried the burger on our most recent visit and it wasn’t anything special.

The environment while nice is rather loud. So if you like that loud kind of “energy” then it’s great. But conversations with everyone at the table start getting a little hard once you have more then 4 people.

We go often to CoV Wayzata. We love the atmosphere, the colors used inside, the lighting, the view to the lake are just amazing. Patio is awesome in summer time. Their happy hour is the best happy hour in MN. It has great selection with the regular portion sizes. Service never surprises, the team so great and you always see the same staff. We love here and highly recommend.

Cov offers a beautiful view of lake Minnetonka – any season. It can be crowded on warm summer nights, as dining outdoors is divine. We love hearing the train come by and love music when available, The hostesses have consistently worked hard seat right away and, if possible, accommodate our wishes.

Reservations are hard to make as you need a certain group size, but that makes sense for such a popular place to dine out in Wayzata.

The food is consistently spectacular. We’ve ordered the crab cake, lobster guacamole, and Mai Fish tacos for starters several times. There is a fired cauliflower on the appetizer menu, but since I prefer avoiding fried food, I highly recommend the Cauliflower as a side dish. It’s ample for sharing and has a delightful marinated sauce and crunchy pine nuts. For a fish entrée, I recommend the sea bass, walleye, and grilled Scallops- each one is delicious. I prefer them over their sushi. They train their staff to be very attentive but not interruptive.

Catching happy hour means watching your timing and being at the bar. The Pink Lady and Cucumber Cocktail are remarkable, light, and truly refreshing. In my opinion, its history is worth supporting, the food is dependable good, the price was high, and the entire restaurant’s décor and ambiance is like you’re dining by the sea. The Cov is a place we enjoy taking guests for an exceptional experience and worth the additional price.

The dining area is comfortable any time of year. It’s really cozy if you get a table near the fireplace during the winter. The patio is typically paced on warm spring, summer, and fall days. It’s worth the wait. They have a nice-sized lobby where you can sit with your guest and enjoy connecting while waiting. Parking may mean a bit of walking – however, it is delightful to walk in this area.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. It was busy, so I guess you can experience getting your appetizers before your cocktails.

Always busy but food and service is great. Love how the food aren't too salty. Crab cake, lobster guac, mahi dish taco, walleye sandwich, kale salad were excellent!!

I will go out of my way to come back. Being that the restaurant is by a lake you would expect a view but not many restaurants nail the internal atmosphere like COV Wayzata has. You can tell they put in time every season to keep it fresh. The hostess was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our waitress was amazing. The food is unreal good. The views are amazing. We were fortunate enough to be there while a person played the piano. This will be worth every moment and dollar.

I always come here for the view and the fried calamari! Great place to chill and have a brunch with a view. We also got the fried chicken sandwich which was delicious. As for the lobster roll not so much it was instagramable tho 😂

Ordered the Spicy chicken sandwich and the steak frites, both delicious. Our server Emma gave my girlfriend and I the best service I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you!

Wow this place was a bomb and I was totally stunned. The foooood was delicioussssss and I was totally into it. The ambience was so well designed and it’s right across the lake with amazing view. They have the right amount of food on each plate and I was ready to ignore any kind of cash tag dish has. The cocktail drinks are good too. The lady who waited our table was so professional and she helped us to pick the right dishes. I will definitely be back multiple times to this restaurant.
