Thai Esan

We are so glad we found this restaurant that serves isaan (esan) dishes. The flavors are authentic. It brought us back to our time in Thailand.
We will be visiting this restaurant every time we are near the area.
The ingredients are correct, and flavors are spot on.

Drunken noodles are my usual go-to here, but you can't go wrong with some pho on a cold day! The fresh rolls were bigger than other places and really good! Thai tea is amazing, too. I've never ordered something here that wasn't good.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The YT food truck doesn’t count as a restaurant; plus the truck does not offer the variety of this place. I have not walked through their doors to dine in (been door dashing it), but I will very soon and looking forward to it. I still have so much to try here. It will be worth driving over the ridge.

Thai ESAN was ESANELY good! From the Tom Kha as my appetizer to the pad kee mao to the mango sweet sticky rice dessert. It was so fire! I’m glad I decided to read other people’s reviews - definitely was worth it! The restaurant itself is relatively small, nothing boujee - so there might be a wait!

Delicious fresh rolls! It's hard to find them made without pork in restaurants, at Thai Esan their fresh rolls are prepared with tofu and shrimp. The coconut soup is also very good, it's Elegantly simple comfort food. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Give them your business!

The Pad Kee Mao is THE best noodle dish I have ever had. Absolutely perfect texture on the noodles, veggies were perfect, spicy basil sauce was delicious!

A friend of mine showed me this restaurant and it was so delicious I came back again with a family member the next day. Not sure why people are saying some things are frozen, EVERYTHING we ordered was steaming hot, fresh, and tasted absolutely delicious. They make the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten in my life and the spring rolls are amazing. Everything was spotless and clean, and the staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make the atmosphere calm and easy going even when it’s packed. I can’t wait to go back!!

Can't say enough about how good the food is here. The Pho Tao perfect, the spring rolls were the best we can recall having, and the dumplings were spot on! The prices are pretty reasonable all things considered, and the staff is super friendly. They do close mid-afternoon between lunch and dinner which we didn't know our first attempt to eat here so I've included hours in my photo among other things.

Love this restaurant. Delicious food and good service. Friendly staff. We are from Atlanta and we prefer to go here most of the times when we are in or around Chattanooga. I love their Spicy fried rice and drunken noodles ( pad kee Mao) is my recent favourite. It had a great flavour.

Food was authentic since I came with my Thai friend. Price is solid and the quantity is good. Will definitely come back!!!! Ps. Mango sticky and Thai tea are bomb!!!

We enjoy authentic Thai dishes here at an amazingly low price. The portions are HUGE for the price! If you don't plan on taking home leftovers, order a small or half portion. We routinely order the coconut soup (Tom Kha Ga) and chicken satay with a delicious peanut sauce. I like the Masaman curry with perfect jasmine rice, my Husband's favorite is the Pad Thai with 3 peppers. Pad See-ew is also good. The pineapple fried rice is my go-to, excellent because it doesn't have curry powder, which every other Thai restaurant in Chatt puts in theirs. The spring rolls with spicy dipping sauce are SO good! Try the papaya salad! The flavor of the dishes is authentic. Be sure to ask for no salt added. The wait staff is very kind, helpful, and give good recommendations. The quality is consistent and we have tried almost everything on the menu! I miss it SO much now that I moved out of Chatt and I wish I could still eat there once a week. This is THE BEST Thai restaurant in Chattanooga, hands down.

Food was excellent. My wife ordered the Ginger stirfry and it came out fresh and the vegetables were very fresh as well. The sauce taste like authentic sauce. Not the thick syrup that some cheap restaurants have. I ordered the Pho with beef tenderloins and I added shrimp to it. I added a little bit of the ground chili with fresh garlic seasoning and it was amazing. The best Pho i’ve ever had. I would definitely come back. The food came up quick.

I had the coconut soup without chicken and the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) and both dishes were amazing. The staff was very attentive and overall I really enjoyed the dinner!

A small and not so fancy place..But amazingly authentic thai food..Me and my hubby are fan of Thai food and have tried many places all over.. From economic to really expensive ones..This is one of the best..we could feel the authenticity and homeliness of the food.. no artificial flavors or colors..
The portion size is also very good compare to price.
Also, there are multiple thai sauces available; which are generally not placed on the table in other restaurants.

We got one 'have to go place' whenever we visit/traveling via Chattanooga 😊

Edit : It's been 3 years I posted above review.. The craze for this place still remains the same.. It's been so many times we had food here.. The food literally travels for 3 hours to my place as during travel my hubby always picks up food from here even if it's about taking long route 🙃

Our favorite Thai place in the Chattanooga area! You can't beat getting tofu noodle or stir fry type dishes for under $8!! If you're a vegan I suggest the pad kee mow with tofu, just ask for no egg!

EXCELLENT! The Pad Thai portion was ample and the flavor was great. The Fresh Rolls (2 Pieces) were amazing. Will definitely be eating here again.

Delicious food! Always packed! I had ginger stir fry and Tom yum soup, I loved it. They serve large portions. It will fill you up.

Everything is perfect. The location, foods, and service, I wish I could give them more than 5 star.

P/s: please be patient and understandable when they are short of staffs. It is worth the wait.

The chicken dumplings are out of this world. You HAVE to try them if you eat here! Everything else is pretty good too 😋

My daughter and I loved everything we ordered! Has authentic full flavors! The ice tea was super fresh, great menu selection!
