Incredible local yarn shop! The shop is so cozy and Kim & Tracy are incredible. They are always up to helping you find yarns for new projects and they carry such wonderful yarns, including their amazing hand-dyed yarns. They even offer classes (the yarn dying class is a blast)! I especially love being a part of their yarn of the month club - the colors they come up with are amazing!

Hearts in Fiber is a little gem in Davidson. Kim (shop owner) does a great job offering a variety of yarn crafts. I recently had a Tunisian Crochet class which was excellent. Ashley (the teacher) is clear in her directions and very patient. I am already well on my way of completing a baby blanket. Kim had a great variety of yarn from basic to luxurious, and different price points accordingly. Kim is always welcoming and very helpful and fun!!

I loved this store before it found its home in Davidson. I’m a self-conscious beginner and I have felt encouraged whenever I visit. I also end up spending way more than I intended, because the inventory is outstanding and presented in such a way, that I throw my intention out the window. This is a family store, with everyone pitching in to help customers. Treat yourself to a terrific experience with warm and lovely people.

Kim and Tracey are more than studio partners, they are artist who go beyond teaching. Kindness, expertise, and creativity described them best. For the first time knitter (okay I’ve been going for two years and am considered a beginner ha). Their patience and encouragement keep me coming back!!!

Such an adorable store! Kim is such an amazing teacher! My daughter and I are taking lessons with her and she is so patient & knowledgable! Her custom dyed yarn is so beautiful & there is such a huge gorgeous selection!

I've only been crocheting about 3 weeks solidly at this point. While in the area today, I stopped into Hearts on Fiber and was assisted in finding the right size yarn. This is my first time working with wool and the quality of the merino is amazing. It glides so nicely while working with it and the shades of the Willow color way for complimented so nicely by many other yarns in the shop. I definitely see myself coming back here and buying more yarn in the future.

I love the vibe at Hearts on Fiber. From the moment I walked in the door, I’ve felt welcomed into the Hearts on Fiber knitting community. I’ve learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Oh and they have beautiful yarn!

Hearts on Fiber is a fantastic local yarn store with everything to get started and continue crafting even when not at home! I stopped in while visiting relatives in Davidson as part of my goal to visit one yarn store in every state I visit and I was not disappointed! I was able to grab some mini skeins for socks that they dye in-store and was even able to find a pair of square circular needles that I couldn't find back home!

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area, and it is within reasonable walking distance from the downtown Davidson Main Street center and Davidson College.

Still my local yarn shop even though I live 1500 miles away. HOF is more than a shop—it’s a community of crafters dedicated to supporting each other. Kim stocks a variety of yarn for every price point, while the in-house lines are beautiful. The classed are great too—highly worth checking out if you want to learn a new skill or start dyeing.

Best place to go for yarn supplies. When you walk in the front door you feel like you’re at home. So friendly and helpful.
