My experience at University Eye Associates was great. I was taken back within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Consistently making sure I was comfortable and Dr. Best is truly the BEST. I truly recommend this location highly. You will not be disappointed ❤

They got me in for a same-day urgent visit, which was awesome enough, but also my appointment was scheduled for 11:30am and I had not only been seen and treated, but was back in my car driving away by 11:47am! My prescription was called in immediately and after only 2 days the medication has worked wonders so I know that despite the quick visit the diagnosis and treatment plan were absolutely correct. Usually when I experience very short MD appointments it’s because the MD (PA, CNP, etc…) is only half listening and in a hurry to get on to the next patient, but that was definitely not the case with this doctor! I will definitely return to this doctor for any future eye health/vision needs!

Another wonderful experience at University Eye with Dr. Schmidt. As a newbie to wearing glasses (1 year in), Dr. Schmidt shows extreme patience with my questions and offers wonderful guidance to protecting my eyes, especially from the dreaded Spring pollen. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and helping me select an additional pair of glasses this year. Very easy to schedule online, check-in was a breeze, as was having my current glasses tightened. Thank you!

I have been to so many eyeglass stores/eye clinics, and University Eye Associates is the best. I had two lovely visits recently as my eyeglasses went broken and I needed a new pair of glasses. From the receptionists to the opticians to the doctors and the assistant, everyone is welcoming and helpful. The environment is clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the exam is thorough and informative. My co-pay is also significantly lower than previous places; as no one here is aggressively selling name brand frames to me! All in all, I am glad I found this place and there is so no need to keep searching. UEA will be my go-to for the entire time period I am here.

Dr Schmidt at University Eye Associates is a wonderful Dr. She is friendly, caring, very thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. She caught problems that my last Dr was missing even though I was telling him that I was having issues. Dr Schmidt identified one problem and treated it correctly. The second one will be taken care of this summer. The staff is great and the office has state of the art equipment. Thank you Dr Schmidt and everyone at University Eye Associates!

My husband and I were new patients, looking for an eye dr that would take his time and cover all our concerns. University Eye Associates hit it out of the park. From the moment we walked in, they were kind, efficient and pleasant! From the office staff, to the technician to the dr himself.. and then the woman who helped us purchase our new glasses and the final office staff person. Would 100% recommend them all!

I have recently moved into the area, and was very pleased with the care I received. Dr. Do was very professional, personable and thoroughly explained the process of my exam and results. Kylie and Olivia also were very professional and helpful. Everyone made me feel welcome.

I’ve known Dr. Best for a long time. He does an awesome job. He knows my needs and takes very good care of me, and his staff does as well. He’ll be my eye Dr. til he retires or I die!!

In a word, GREAT!! The receptionist, tech. and optimists as well as support staff hit it out of the park. Professionalism and efficiency in a friendly and casual setting. I am pretty scrutinizing with high expectations. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Let's just say, 5 stars+. My 17 year old is actually looking forward to the follow-up and he generally hates all such matters

The office is clean and efficient. All of the staff, from check-in through to checkout were friendly and courteous. Equipment was in great condition. The assistant and doctor were very thorough, answered all of my questions, and performed exceptionally well.

All of the staff is professional and courteous. I arrived a little early for my appointment and the entire exam went quickly and efficiently.

As usual Dr. Schmidt did not disappoint. My exam was very thorough and my prescription was adjusted giving me sharper vision than I’ve had in years. The entire staff was friendly, and I was in and out in no time.

I have had such great experience seeing Dr. Hamp at the Davidson office. They go above and beyond. The team up front is always very kind and helpful when picking out frames.

Dr. Best and his staff were outstanding. My wife and I booked our appointments consecutively and we were able to be seen and examined jointly. Highly recommend.

Dr. Best at University Eye Care in Davidson is outstanding. His knowledge, expertise and genuine concern for my eye care is above and beyond anything I have previously experienced. When I have had questions, or concerns he calls me back, mot leaving it to staff. Staff is excellent too!
