The Egg at Davidson

A charming little breakfast and brunch place who has a wide selection of funny/cute mugs for their coffee. I've been here a couple of times and it hasn't disappointed so far, just a nice sit down for omelettes and such. A little busy on Sundays but they serve all day breakfast (on Sundays) there. Nothing really stellar in terms of quality, they use low quality ingredients but to the best of their abilities. The wait staff is exceptional and friendly.

Jamie at the Egg is awesome! She put several tables together because I had out of town visitors and there were 9 of us.
This was their first time in Davidson & they loved it! The entire group enjoyed their breakfast. Big thanks to everyone for making this possible!

Soild little diner. Service was great. Food was good.

Order the Tennessee Benedict which had sausage Gravy and sausage. Sausage was cooked perfectly.

Also order the imitation crab Benedict.

The food was delicious and we also had great service from a very friendly staff.

Reagan is running the entire restaurant today. She needs to be recognized for her hard work and poise taking party after party, while the other lady takes all the easy breezy two-tops.

Update: Feb 2024

Popped in for a to-go order. I waited so long that I saw another waitress giving my waitress (who was very busy with her cellphone) signals to check on my food.

Food looked good but my grits had pieces of tiny, flat, tan-colored dry squares that I had to keep spitting out so I trashed them.

Toast was hard and looked like it might have been scraped.

*sigh*

Bacon and eggs were good.

This place is always awesome. The food is good and health size portions. The staff is always friendly and on top of it with keeping your coffee topped off. I would have attached pictures to my review but I always dig in and finish my food before I remember to take pictures. The biscuits and gravy with a side of grits is my “go to” there.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and southern hospitality! The pecan waffle and ham were delicious!

We frequent the Davidson Farmers Market, but we decided to try breakfast first. Service was fast and friendly. The food was hot and the prices are very family-friendly. We even went back Sunday morning for breakfast. We had steak and eggs with toast and an omlette with toast both days.
