Market Pizza

Met friends in between our homes and found Market Pizza for lunch. Food was delicious and appealing to the eye. We started with the garlic knots - a little biscuit texture with cheese. Really yummy. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a potato pizza (when in The County!). The crust was tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed the potato pizza, great balance of flavors and texture. Pepperoni was delicious too but I’ll always go for the funky pizza first. The staff were lovely. Friendly, funny, helpful, A++. Market square location is very charming. Soda shop vibes. It was not nice outside so we sat for a good long time after lunch. There was space for other patrons so weren’t taking away from other customers. But, not all restaurants are ok with people hanging for an hour after paying the bill. All in all, a stellar establishment with great food and awesome staff.

This is by far the best pizza I’ve had in Houlton! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The decor is all retro photos of Houlton Market Square which was awesome. There is a bar are where you can sit and be served or they have regular and high top tables.
Beer on draft, wine etc.
Don’t waste your time with chain brand pizza, this is worth your money.
They do have delivery service, eat in, and carry out.

We visited during the total solar eclipse and the staff and pizza were amazing. They handled the crowds wonderfully and were super friendly. The pizza was fantastic and fresh.

My friend and I went to market pizza today. I pulled up in front of the store where the 2hr parking sign is. Anyways my buddy went in and after getting his food a woman told him that we shouldn't park there. It's for loading and unloading. Then my buddy told me that the employee stood up for my friend, and I about we are customers and there is no reason why I can't park there. I'm loading pizza in my truck. With handicap plates. You gotta love small town businesses. Ty

It's a bit of a drive up 95 for us to get to Houlton, or we'd eat here more often, but we've dined at Market Pizza three times now, and I have to say that this is the best pizza I've had in Maine.

The first trip we had an excellent Margherita pie. The next time I had a slice of baked potato (what?) and a slice of pepperoni. Today I had a pepperoni calzone.

Without question, Market Pizza makes great pizza that is slightly out of the ordinary, and always delicious. The service has been top-notch every time we visited.

My friend and I had the pleasure of eating a late lunch at Market Pizza and the food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding! We shared the chicken alfredo pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we’ve eaten in quite some time. I also travel frequently and live in southern Maine and their pizza was better than any pizza I’ve eaten in this state! We also loved the historic pictures and memorabilia of Houlton’s Market Square, which made the experience all that more special! The service was great also!

I highly recommend Market Pizza and I would encourage others to try it as everything about it was amazing!

I'm always skeptical when a website says "Best pizza in town!", but there is no question about it.

Wonderful service and delicious pizza!

I’ve traveled the country and tried pizza from hundreds of locations over the years. Market Pizza has got to be some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, period.

Excellent food. Service was friendly. We were only visiting the area, but we would eat here again. Garlic knots were out of this world!! Pizza was good so was Caeser salad.

Fantastic pizza place right in the heart of Houlton! They've got all sorts of delicious varieties of pizza along with a smattering of appetizers as well. I went for the Buffalo chicken pizza and my friend went for the potato pizza. After a long day of working hard and getting frozen to the bone, the pizzas warmed our bodies and souls! Thank you! We'll be back again, no doubt!

This was my first visit to Market Pizza. I was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting comfortable seating in such a narrow restaurant, but my mother was able to be accommodated while in her wheelchair. The additional diner counter style seating was nice too. The service was friendly and fast. We tried the garlic and cheese knots. They were very good, and the marinara sauce that came with them was excellent. We both ordered 10" pizzas. My mother had the BLT pizza and I ordered the meat lovers. Both of them looked exactly the way you would expect. The crusts were thin and just crisp enough on the edges to hold together and not bend to let the toppings slide off. They did not skimp on cheese or toppings. Overall it was a very nice dining experience. I would recommend giving this pizzeria a try. It is much better than the chain stores.

If you are from out of town, seeing this review: stop searching for food, this is the only option in Houlton.
Recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza, but you also won’t be disappointed here.

First of all, I would like to thank you so much for giving Veterans a 10 percent discount on Veterans Day! We recently moved back to the Houlton area from SC and we're so disappointed that very few places were offering discounts we're guessing that with inflation it's almost impossible to get a free breakfast at the local truck stop etc.
We ordered an extra-large cheese pizza ~ the grandsons were with us 😉 ~ and it was excellent!! We ate at the park and just want to say thank you again for your kindness towards people who served our country and making us a wicked good pizza!! ❤🇺🇲

We were passing through and saw this little pizza restaurant. I loved the atmosphere. The pizza was very delicious and came out quickly. Great customer service. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stop in.
