Elm Tree Diner

Wonderful classic diner experience. The basic atmosphere is part of that trope. Quick service. Coffee was basic diner coffee, won't win any awards but was warming and plentiful. That omelette was monster though. Tremendous. The meats were flavorful and the veggies weren't clearly from some can. I appreciate that. Toast could have been better. I guess I like it buttered on arrival rather than spending minutes spreading my own. Tad dry too but acceptable. The home fries could have been chopped more finely but the sauteed onions really bumped them up. General lack of salt but I suppose avoiding putting our elderly population into an instant congestive heart failure exacerbation is generally a good idea.

Yes, some objections but overall a great experience and I will return.

Cheeseburger, fries and gravy, the other order was homemade onion rings I loved it!, a BLT my mother had.

The cheesecake was out of this world. Freshly baked with fruit inside and a dollop of whipped cream topped with a blueberry. The owner Wendy said that it was baked on the premises. I've been there 3 times this week and I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner, Kelly was great server and food was good. If we come back again must try other dishes

I no alot or people have there opinions about Elmtree but that's your own opinion Everytime I go there the food is top notch seems to me that people have nothing better to do then wine like babies I love that place i never had a bad experience there at all so I don't see ehat the ridicule is all about litterly best place ro eat intown my opinion

These whoopie pies are HUGE! And yummy.
I got the steak an cheese sub, with homemade mozza sticks, hubby got the burger an poutine. It was soooo filling! Big portions without the big cost! We will definitely be back! Staff is awesome as always!

Awesome food, nice staff, great place! Food was really good. We ordered Chicken Fingers with Mashed Potatoes and Squash, and the Sunrise Burger with an over easy egg and fries. The fries were typical good fries and while the burger patty was slightly thinner than expected, it was still cooked Med Rare and tasted great. The egg was perfectly runny too. The chicken was fried to a great crisp and the potatoes and squash were great with the chicken!

Friendly, quick service. Food was excellent with massive portions. Steak and cheese sub was better than a lot of places we’ve had in Philly!

I've been three times now and each time I received good food and fast service. I like that they serve breakfast all day in case I get a hankering for afternoon waffles. Clean bathrooms, always a good sign of a well maintained establishment.

I had the chicken tenders. It was delicious. The tenders and fries were both homemade.

The atmosphere was a little sterile, but I can see as time goes by, it will get better. I had a cheese burger and beer batter fries. Love love love them. My husband had the hot dogs and beans. All was very delicious. BUT beware the food is so fresh from the kitchen that it's extremely hot! Not like a burger that's been sitting under a warming lamp. Hot, Fresh and amazing

Good food. Great triple berry cheesecake. Mashed potatoes are real potatoes. Grilled haddock was very good. Mushroom Swiss burger was good but could have used more mushrooms. Pickle was amazing.

Great prices and decent food. The fried mushrooms and onion rings were especially good. I'd suggest skipping the turkey.

Stop in with my father for a bite to eat and let me tell you what, I haven't had biscuits that moist since my Grammy made them many moons ago and the sausage gravy was so flavorful I had a hard time keeping conversation with my father. The owner is a whole vibe and is bright and cheerful. I cannot wait to return and try another menu item!

I love this place. I've been visiting Houlton my whole life (since the 1980s). I was in town with my family and heard it had opened up again. Had to check it out. Staff was super friendly. Food was great, service was fast and it felt like coming home. Keep up the great work

This is a reply to Kelly Dickson review. The homemade fruit pies is made with fresh or frozen fruit and the cream pies are made fresh with cooked pudding, not made from boxed pudding. All the deserts are baked fresh on site.
