Sterner's Stems

We had a blast making terrariums today. Liz and Melissa were WONDERFUL! very knowledgeable, so friendly and fun! Melissa treated us all like friends, not customers. There were SO MANY options for the terrariums, it was hard to decide. We love how they turned out. So glad we went to the Plant Bingo and found this gem!

I went in December for my build a terrarium but I haven’t stopped going I wish I went sooner I absolutely love this place the lady and her staff are amazing she absolutely the best personality vibez and the plants OMWORD I love she goes over and beyond and I swear I can’t get enough of the new unique plants she gets and styles she does I will keep going you have to go it’s a must in April I will be going to her plant bingo I’m so excited can’t wait!!!!! This shop and gem employees were discovered by plant bingo. We won amazing, beautiful plants and a gift certificate to go to Melissa’s shop to build terrariums. It was a beautiful time with girlfriends and the staff was so pleasant and fun! Ten out of ten recommend. 🌸🌿🌺

Came here after a lunch date with my sister- Melissa is AWESOME. Lilly walked us through our terrarium bar project and we had so much fun. Tons of plants to choose from, house plants and succulents. Different colored sands, rocks, and decor! Such a cute experience I can’t wait to go back. My only suggestion would be to bring your own pot, dish, jar, whatever you want to put your plants in. They have options there but they start at $15. Overall for each of us we paid about $50 a piece for each of our pots in the picture, including plants so it really wasn’t too bad!

Run here!! Melissa is so fun, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time building our own terrarium and she even took plenty of photos for us to also help remember the experience!

Our first experience won’t be the last! Melissa shared her space with our group of 9 (ages 9 to 70) to create individual terrariums. In the heart of Downtown, Sterner’s Stems, had a great vibe, awesome selection of plants and materials, and inviting atmosphere!

My bridal shower was help at Sterner’s Stems and it was absolutely perfect. Melissa was such a joy leading us through our terrarium building. A wonderful positive space that leaves you the room to create.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW FUN THIS WAS!! Melissa was informative, transparent, and hilarious. The selection was whimsical as heck, comprehensive, and inspiring! She helped us when we needed it but was otherwise was the perfect combination of hands-off and supportive.

Also the shop was comfortable, joyful, and relaxing.

I can’t wait to go back! Maybe for Mother’s Day???

Awesome place with awesome people! My wife and I did the build your own terrarium, highly recommend! So many plants and little trinkets to choose from. Anyone who loves plants, or even if you don't, you should check this place out! You will not be disappointed!

I have attended both the pumpkin succulent workshop and the build your own terrarium workshop. Both were excellent experiences! It was a great opportunity to be creative, have fun, and learn something new.

This is an amazing place! Melissa & her staff are friendly & very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed shopping for succulents to go in my terrarium. I highly recommended Sterner’s Stems.

Plant selection is great with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I bought a pink princess philodendron which is a plant I have been searching for. Wonderful way to spend a lunch break.

I just can't say enough wonderful things about Sterner's Stems. We attended a craft project tonight and everyone had a fantastic time! Melissa and her assistant made it such a fun night for all of us. Thanks so much! We'll be back!

We. Had. The. Best. Time. We went with our book club and had an absolute blast. Melissa is so easy to work with and she is built in entertainment as well - so many laughs. Great products, great team, beautiful set up - will 100% be back again.

This was the cutest plant shop experience! Terrific environment & energy! We hosted a children’s activity here. The children got build their own terrariums & learned the importance of each layer. There were plenty of options to pick from when it was time to choose the vessel, plants, & decor. Melissa also worked with our tight schedule to have this event for us. Liz was the guide & she was very patient with the children. I highly recommend this activity! Great place!

We went here almost a year ago (sorry I’m late!!) and had the best time!

Melissa was sooo nice and helpful to my girlfriend and I! When we walked in, we were a bit early but she and her staff were okay with it as there weren’t any other appointments. Immediately she began telling us about how to create our terrariums and when we had questions at any point during the process, she was more than eager enough to help us through it! The store itself was wonderful, making a terrarium or plant holder out of anything and everything! Almost anything in the store was up for grabs to use in your terrarium, she encouraged us to use whatever we felt like and gave us recommendations based on what container and plants we chose! During the entire process, Melissa and her staff were very pleasant and friendly.

I kept telling Melissa I would give her a fantastic review and I hope this covered it, I’m sorry it took so long!!

Will definitely be coming back and will recommend this to anybody who is looking for a “different” idea for a date or activity with friends!

I first visited Sterner's Stems to celebrate my birthday and I was more than pleased with my experience!! There's a big variety of plants, vessels, and decor for your terrarium. And I just loved the atmosphere of the shop. Melissa was wonderful, so welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everytime I would drive by Sterner's Stems I would say to myself I have to check this place out! And I'm so glad I did and that I did on my birthday it definitely was a great way to celebrate. I can't wait for my next visit. ♡♡♡♡

came here with my friend for their birthday party. was an absolutely lovely experience. I had so much fun decorating my little terrarium. Melissa is the best she’s so nice and you feel like you’ve known her for years. def recommend!

This is such a cool place! We went today for a bridal shower to make terrariums and had so much fun! Melissa is awesome - she makes the experience so laid back and it made me feel like I’ve known her my entire life. We’ll be back!
