Black Bear Diner Ogden

A great family diner with a deep menu including many breakfast choices you can order all day. Open late until 10 on a Tuesday. “Beary” delicious omelettes with some insanely hot sauces!

Just like a home cooked meal! Clean and organized! Staff are amazing and so is the food! Price is great for the portion size! Easy to get in and out! Served fast as well!

I ordered the fish & chips. It was battered and fried fish with fries and coleslaw. The food was good and was as I had expected. It was hot, cooked fresh. I requested the fries to be cooked crispy, and they were perfect. The coleslaw could have been coated better with the sauce, but it was still very good.

The service was excellent. The atmosphere was a family restaurant atmosphere. I don’t think everything is made by scratch, but the food is still decent.

I was so excited to Google and find that there was a Black Bear Diner in Ogden, UT on a recent trip! It was so GOOD that we had breakfast 4 mornings of our 5 day stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs and the food was DELICIOUS! My favorite was the chicken fried steak and eggs. The grits are pretty dog on good too, and this is from the taste buds of a Southerner! I must mention the pancakes and french toast are very good also. Definitely order a fresh glass of freshly squeezed orange juice….it’s SO SO GOOD! I will definitely go to Black Bear Diner for more GREAT FOOD & SERVICE!!!

Now the breakfast every time was awesome but then we went to dinner the last night we stayed there and it was awful. Everyone had something wrong with their meal. My fries were soggy. My onion curls were mashed together and soggy and they are supposed to fried and crispy, right? Sorts a good restaurant for breakfast only. Maybe they can't find any good help for dinner and it shows.

We love this restaurant! Both times we’ve gone our server, Kaya, has been exceptional! The food is amazing too.

Okay Bear with me. Black bear Diner Ogden is the secret Salmon stream of Ogden. The food was great for the price (around $10-14) for everything. The service was immaculate. Everyone was super nice and quick. Got sat down and ordered in less then 5 minutes of entering the building. The theme of the Black Bear Diner Ogden is the pest part! From the outside you can feel the warm, cozy feeling of love you will feel. The inside reminds you of a log cabin with bear pictures that will spook you! This is a 4.8/5 star reasteraunt. Boss man took us out for breakfast and our server was amazing. She had a great personality to deal with all of us and was fast and reliable. Always had coffee in our cups and the food came out quick even with all of us there.

I wish I had taken pictures of our meals! We were a table of seven celebrating college graduation.

I had the Prime Rib. It’s served on Friday and Saturday evenings. It was delicious. It came with a side salad, broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was all yummy. I was really impressed with the broccoli, it was cooked perfectly.

Our server was attentive and kept our drinks filled. We certainly will return! Thank you for the great service and delicious food!

The treatment we recently received has been outstanding! The kind young woman treated us like we were the only ones there. Thank you for a great time!

The young waitress, named Joevana something like that, was amazing. She did her job on the morning of 03/18/24 excellent.

I love black bear diner but have never liked this Ogden black bear until recently. I’m not sure what changed but the food, service, and environment has just been all the best! My favorite meal to get is the build your own omelette the price is so cheap for the amount of food you’re getting! And of course you cannot forget dessert. I personally don’t like cake but the Chocolate cake that black bear diner serves is just delicious!!

We always ask for Rhonda. She is the main reason we dine at the restaurant. The food is similar at other restaurants, but Rhonda is the reason we keep going back to Black Bear Diner. She is always upbeat and positive. She remembers us, and provides excellent service. It's like having a close friend having us over to her home for a meal.

I decided to give location another try and the service has improved so much since my last visit. The service is great and even the food has gotten tastier. Before it would take 30-45 minutes for our food to come out and we only waited 10-15 this time around. Very impressed with the change of quality of service, will definitely be visiting this location again!

Had a great meal with my son and his friend. We got seated immediately. The server, Evin, was very attentive and took great care of us. The cook also went the extra mile making the plates extra attractive. I've been to several Black Bear locations and this one stood out.

Our server, Danielle, was amazing. She offered to take my youngest to the gift shop so I could eat ( he was wrestling me between bites haha) and when I declined she came back with gifts for both my kids!! Which really helped in distracting my youngest. She was so sweet and friendly as well as doing a great job at her job of serving us great food. It made our day. Thank you Danielle and staff!

I recently visited the Black Bear Dinner in Ogden. We were greeted immediately and seated by the very friendly host. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was hot and prepared perfectly. We also had a visit from Christy the manager who double checked to make sure everything was great. The restaurant was clean and we look forward to many more visits.

I am a DoorDash driver and picked up here many times but never had time to actually stop

I am glad I did the food was amazing and the size of the plates was insane coffee was great and fresh and the staff was very professional and friendly and service was above and Beyond!!!!

Will be a regular here from now on

Service and waitstaff was very accommodating and friendly! We ordered:
- BBQ Brisket Sandwich with Coleslaw & Fries
- Reuben Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries
- Mocha Cold Brew Shake

Love the cute decor and the little details of black bears in napkins, condiments, and all around the diner! Everything is very clean, but the diner is a bit dated in decor.

Food was great, didn't wait long for our food at all! We had a great lunch and will definitely be back! Come try out this wonderful local diner! 😄👍

This is now my all time favorite restaurant! Excellent food, excellent service, good portion sizes, reasonably priced, food quality and speed was there, this place was jus the right place to go for breakfast! Highly recommend!!
