Great Lake for a boating day. The sand is more gravel but when you wear shoes it's not that big of a deal. For us the water level was high and you walked past 3 ft of large but soft pebbles and then you hit sand. Both were anchored close to the shore and there was plenty of beach area for large families together. There are a few large trees along the shoreline that provide natural shade.
The bathrooms were what you might expect at a gas station. A couple stalls with flushing toilets and soap with running water sinks, but they weren't that clean.
Weekends are $30 per car, during the week. It's only $15 per car.
Dogs can be there and quite a few were, they're supposed to be leashed but not everyone follows that rule.

We went for the Christmas light show. Well worth it. Much longer than expected and you can tell a lot of people put a lot of time, work, and creativity into making it a great experience.

Allot of fun! Rode my bike, up and down dike road. About 18 mile bike ride. Stunning views throughout

Stayed the weekend at the RV park. Off season so no recreation boaters, just quiet fisherman. No mosquitoes. Some gnatty things by the water but they didn't bug me. Tent campground under construction. Looks like they are building another RV park. Cute area called The Pond that looks new and is super clean. Note, this is right next to the interstate so you hear lots of that all night. There is also apparently an active train track nearby.

They do the coolest Christmas light display every year. It’s $15 to $20 per car (8 people max) with the option to buy glasses (BUY THE GLASSES). We purchased glasses and bring them every year. It makes all of the lights look like little snowflakes and the kids love them.

We feel like this event is 100% worth it every year. We blast Christmas music in the car while we drive through an almost never ending display of lights. It’s a great time for everyone (including our difficult to please teenagers).

This is a tradition for us and we love it!

This must be what Hellen Hunt envisioned when she wrote America The Beautiful. As I drove in, I thought to myself.... I wish someone would hide the spectacular mountain views and replace them with a long unobstructed taint-side perspective of a grassy reservoir. Since the $60 per night is more expensive than some luxury campgrounds in the area, I have the whole place to myself and no views to distract me. Maybe the next UT state park campground could be a landfill.

AWESOME!!!!!!!! You turn on a specific FM radio station to listen to Christmas music..
It $15/car and they offer 3D glasses for $2 which I would highly recommend. It makes the experience incredible and very memorable. Its not your normal Christmas light display.
In the pictures you'll see little snowflakes around the lights and thats how the lights look with the 3D glasses.
Lastly the entire route takes 45mins-1hr. One of the coolest displays ever. GOTTA GET THE 3D GLASSES.

Hey my experience was great I'd never been here I wanted to see it, my husband drove through it for me to see 🙂 I think it'd be fun to hang out for the day whether you're fishing, or laying out in sun in one of the beach areas, it's definitely packed every day, probably not so much when school starts

Very nice campground with power, water and bathrooms available. It’s reasonably priced at $15 per night or $5 per night for a primitive site. The lake is a little chilly but not too bad. There are two docks and a boat launch.
Lots of birds to watch.

Since November 2012, my family has made the Bay Lights out family Christmas tradition. We go to dinner and then drive through. We have had to add more cars as we have added more grandkiddos. It's a wonderful tradition. We look forward to it every year.

I am so happy we decided to take a ride through the park to see the Christmas lights display. They did an excellent job with the decorations and I was surprised at the length of time it took to drive through to see everything. We did not have to wait long at all to get through the entrance. Well worth the time to go see!

The water park is so fun! My kids 9,7 and 7 had a blast! Definitely a must do. My only advice is to somehow get an attached to the park hook to help kids access the trapeze more.

Super pretty here! It’s pretty chill and there’s not a ton to do but it’s peaceful. You can bring outdoor games, cards, dinner with family or even just chill with a good book. There are so many bugs though! So make sure to bring bug spray! And try to reserve a picnic area before to make sure you get one.

We got in one of several lines to put our boat in. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the lake. The flying bugs were only on land. Once out on the water we were free of them. It was a great place to test our boat with our electric trolling motor. We tested how fast we could go with our outboard motor as well.

I visited very spontaneously around Christmas time, seeing the lights from the freeway. It was so fun! The light displays are super cute and it was fun to listen to the radio station that was part of the experience. It's $20/car, so a little pricy for just me and my 2mo old, but super cheap for a carload of people. 😊 You should definitely visit!
