We had the best dinner at Maddox Steakhouse tonight. There were three of us and we felt like our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special. I had the prime rib, my sister had the short rib special and my other sister had the Top of Maddox. We finished up with banana cream pie that was incredible. We all loved our entrees, which were enormous! We took at least half of our plates home for another meal or two. The rolls with raspberry butter are my personal favorite (I had three!). All in all, a wonderful experience.

I had the most delightful experience today and special kudos to our Server McKenzie! Who made my lunch date with my wife extra special! You see my wife got their famous fried chicken and I just really wanted a steak sandwich, but did not see one on the menu, so I ask McKenzie if they had one, but she told me that they only do those in the drive through side. So I said I guess I would just have a New York steak and to bring a lot of rolls. She did one better, she brought me a toasted bun, with some cheese and mayo so I could build my own, and build it I did. She took such good care of us and made sure I got what I wanted, without breaking restaurant rules (which I completely understand) even though it was not on the menu. The medium rare New York was cooked to perfection, my wife’s fried chicken was tender and succulent, the clam chowder was next level delicious (made in house) and the rolls and corn bread with raspberry butter was the cherry on the cake that started this lunch train rolling!

The place was crazy busy and unbeknown to me my wife surprised me with a reservation, so get a res if you plan to go or try to keep your hunger at bay by waiting because you might be a while if you just show up, but most definitely worth the wait, also worth the 100 mile round trip lunch today. An absolute gem in Brigham City. Just go and be delighted!

1st time eating here. We were passing through for a football game and googled this location. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I ordered the “8oz” prime rib and my wife ordered the trio. Steaks were cooked to perfection as ordered. Seasonings were great! No extra salt or pepper needed on anything. Clam chowder was possibly the best I have ever had. Home made raspberry butter on the fresh dinner rolls was very good as well. Definitely worth the stop.

Hands down, BEST STEAK in the state… UTAH!!! Wow, the service was impeccable, especially by Shirley. Sweetest lady in the restaurant. She made sure our glasses were filled and served us plenty of rolls. She made some awesome recommendations, like the spicy sirloin and the bison ribeye. Don’t forget the soup of the day and fresh strawberry pie. It’s heavenly!!!

There are lots of amazing steakhouses in this country. Many of them that I love. But this one is literally out of this world! The fillet is the most tender juicy tasty steak that I have!!

Value is amazing. The quality and taste of the food was 5 star. Bread muffins soft and raspberry butter smooth. Prime Rib amazing flavor and selection of gravy to enhance the flavors even more. Anytime I'm near I'll be stopping by. Fresh strawberry pie had perfect balance of sweet and tartness that was salivating with every bite.

We heard this was a great place to eat and we were not disappointed. We ordered their famous fried chicken and it was so good! Skinless and lightly breaded chicken along with rolls, homemade mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, and the fresh peach pie was all very good.

Stopped with family to take in Maddox Ranch House. First time, long time. I gave a five star review. Service was great. Food was good, but nothing was as good as I expected. It's hard to live up to the hype and this has been on my list for many years. Again, nothing bad, not a bad experience, just not as good as I was expecting or hoping. My biggest critique would be flavor - all bland. All maybe that is exactly what homestyle is. Because of my expectations, which if had been met, price would be worth it, but in my case I thought it was too much for what I got. Rolls and cornbread were the best of the meal.

First time going to an American ranch house. I researched the place before hand, and it said the dress code was formal: this is NOT the case - as seems with most places in America... shamefully so, because the location does appear more "upscale" than 98% of places in Utah. So, by all means, show up in Crocs, lol.
Despite the lack of formality, the food was fantastic, the portions were huge, and the selection was incredible. I enjoyed having chicken fried steak for the first time, and the endless bread with raspberry butter was a new taste I've been craving since going! The sodas are so tasty as well, I enjoyed the sarsaparilla the most. I also enjoyed a delicious cream pie 😋 a wonderful first experience of "true" American cuisine. P.S - not sure if it's just BC this is mormon territory but there's no liquor served here - I would have loved a glass of wine to pair with their excellent food, but it's not the place. Thanks, and I hope to dine here again!

Meet some old friends from elementary school (for the first time in 25 years!). We were seated immediately. The salads were HUGE! I wasn't sure if I could eat my entree afterwards. The rolls were, as always, my favorite. Raspberry butter and honey. And the rolls just kept coming. I ordered the shrimp steak, which tasted so good! I can never get enough of that. Others in my party ordered steak. Tender and delicious. "It melts in your mouth!" The waitress was willing to substitute more vegetables instead of the potato for the ones who asked. Two of us took home chocolate cream pie. Nice dinning room, but a bit loud if you need hearing aids. Quick seating and perfect pacing of food coming out. I would recommend the shrimp steak or the bison bits. So delicious.

Although my wife had been here years ago, this was my first visit to Maddox Ranch House in Brigham City (technically Perry). We had a great evening here. Our meal started out with moist and delicious rolls and corn pote with butter and creamy raspberry spread. For our first course we chose tomato, beef, and macaroni soup which was excellent. Not long after, our entrees arrived, chicken fried steak and fried chicken. (I wanted prime rib but because we were dining later they only had well done prime rib left and I couldn't bring myself to eat prime rib any more done than medium - I usually order it medium rare. So I opted for their famous fried chicken.) The fried chicken was so tender - I couldn't believe how tasty it was even though they prepare it skinless. I thought I would miss the skin but it didn't need it - the breading was perfect. Our server was pleasant and attentive. With plenty of left overs to take home, our total bill before adding a tip was under $50. We thought Maddox was an excellent value and will be sure to make the drive from Salt Lake again soon to try some more of their cuisine. 👍👍

My wife and I stopped in at 4. Surprised to find that there was a wait. Was seated within 5 min. The service was excellent. Our waiter was given free reign over my food. He brought the shrimp and seafood salad appetizer, the 6oz filet entree, and the banana cream pie. It was all amazing. My wife had the fried chicken and chicken soup. They were both excellent too! I would highly recommend the Maddox to anyone!

Maddox is famous! Hence, it is always super busy. The food is great, service is superb. You can expect to have to hunt for parking and wait for a table. The place is big and busy and noisy with all the customers, but the food is worth the wait. You'll start out with rolls and cornbread with butter and raspberry spread. Then help yourself to a menu ranging from their own famous fried chicken, to salmon, to bison burgers or Rib eye steak. Whatever you choose - you will love it!

Had the chance to eat lunch at Maddox today. Great service, good food, sad an atmosphere that has not really changed in the last, oh, maybe 25-30 years! That is a good thing.

We were served very quickly.

My wife had the seafood salad, roast beef and green beans.

I had the sirloin, green beans, baked potato and fried shrimp. (Pictures follow)

The food came out hot, textures were perfect, and they boast Maddox well water.

We went at about 3:45 PM. Cost about $50. Worth every penny.

A favorite since day one. This is our families go to for a nice meal OR great take out for a discounted price. One of our favorite things to do is get takeout and either go to a park nearby or take it to Mantua Lake and eat on the beach. It’s perfect.👏🏻 the rolls, the ranch, turkey steak, mashed potatoes!!!!! So good. When we do dine in, we’re well taken care of by the staff.

This is truly a must stop when in Northern Utah. It is worth the stop. For a few years, we just went to the Maddox Drive In and have recently been going to Maddox Ranch House. Service and food is amazing.

Soooo dang good! Absolutely delicious - every time. Not only is the cuisine amazing and well-priced for its high-quality, but the staff are so efficient, polite, and professional that they are as valuable as the fare. It's always packed, and it's a bit noisy, but it's well worth it! If you love me, take me to Maddox!

Maddox is my family’s favorite! We have been coming here for as long as I can remember. We always stop here on our way up to Yellowstone. It’s our family tradition on road trips. You get the best rolls and cornbread before your meal with unique raspberry butter. They have a daily soup option, the 2 best soups I think is their clam chowder which is served Fridays and the cheddar vegetable served on Saturdays. Both so good. Every time I come to Maddox I always order the Turkey Steak. It’s unique and you can’t get it anywhere else. I just crave this place!
