Miller's Seafood & Steak House

WOW! The food was great! My husband has a seafood platter and I had a porterhouse pork chop. Both were amazing. However, nothing compared to the service. The bartender and especially the waitress were absolutely amazing. Best service ever. 6 stars!

We vacation in the Outer Banks every spring and this is always a place we stop at to eat. We know we're going to get great food and excellent service every time without fail. Literally everything I've ordered from here has been delicious from the steak to the flounder to the crab cakes. Highly recommend!

Went in for dinner during the week during off season. Promptly greeted and sat despite the place seeming pretty busy. Sam was our server, and was wonderful! We started with extra filthy dirty martinis (only downside- no Bleu cheese olives. Still delicious though) and some hush puppies. The hush puppies were sprinkled with powered sugar and a whipped butter. Reminded me of carnival food, but elevated. We split a feta strawberry salad, with seared tuna and raspberry walnut vinegarette. Super fresh, the smoky tuna worked perfectly with the rest of the salad. Hit the spot for sure. Then we were sold on one of the nights specials by Sam- a seafood broiled trio. Scallops, crab cake, and shrimp in a buttery white wine sauce with lemon; came with two sides. We picked the roasted red mashed potatoes and asparagus. Once again, everything was superb. The crab cake was stuffed full of crab meat with not a lot of filler, the scallops were lightly seared and still super tender, and the shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were rich and had little bits of skin still in them, and the asparagus was delightful. Sam brought us a beautiful array of desserts to choose from at the end of our meal, but unfortunately we were too full to eat any more.

The service from Sam was knowledgeable and prompt, despite having a very large party to take care of while we were there. All of the food was excellent, and we'll definitely be coming back for more whenever we're in the outer banks.

My husband and I had our honeymoon in OBX last year and it rained the entire time we were there. So we took a second honeymoon this year before our one year anniversary. My husband's last name is Miller and we really wanted to check this place out. Since we didn't get to last year, we made it a point to visit it.

OMG!!!!! IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT!!! EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING, WAS SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!!!

We had decided this is our go to restaurant every visit from now on.

Very friendly staff. We went around 7pm on a Friday night, they were fairly busy but we got our food quickly. It was hot and fresh. The popcorn shrimp was fresh and crispy.

The grass fed fillet mignon medium rare is probably the best I’ve had on the East coast. It was so good I forgot to take photos of the other food I ordered. Great staff and nice atmosphere.

Had breakfast and dinner both here and they were absolutely worth every penny. Some of the best food I have had in years and the service was impeccable . Run by a local family and it is deserving of the accolades it receives. We received great service from both servers (evening was Mark? Matt? ) The only negative I could possibly find was our over medium eggs came out over easy eggs, and that’s soooooo negligible and an easy mistake to make. Overall a wonderful experience for all meals

Coconut shrimp dinner was divine! Portions were good size, 10 shrimp; 10-12 scallops in the scallop dinner. Fresh basket of hush puppies to start. Service was good; our waiter had a party of about 20 but managed to take care of them and his other tables without skipping a beat. We have been here before and if back in town would likely come here again.

great place! got there early, so the setting wasn't an issue, but I bet as the season goes forward and more word gets out ... BUT it was well worth it. generous portions, great special drinks ... oh, and dessert looked awesome. Bring your appetite!! will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Sushi was some of the best we ever had! Super fresh and full of flavor. The crab legs and shrimp with old bay seasoning were cooked to perfection! You must try the hush puppies with powered sugar. The kids also loved the steak and the fries were crispy.

Great seafood stop in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Fast and friendly service. Food came out quick and hot.
I very much enjoyed the broiled seafood combo - flounder, shrimp, scallops, and a crab cake along with mashed potatoes and chilled broccoli salad. The scallops were done perfectly! Some of the best I think I’ve ever had! The flounder was great and not the least bit “fishy”. The shrimp and crab cake were good as well.
We also had the She Crab Soup. It was creamy and delicious - excellent!
My wife had the surf and turf and really enjoyed the steak and oyster combo on it.
So, all in all, it was a great stop, with excellent food!

I have eaten here in the past and this restaurant has always given top service. It is family owned and the food is fresh and very favorable. I would have taken a picture of the fresh sea bass sea scallops caught off the OBX coast, but it was so good that I ate it before remembering to take a picture . Trust me it is an excellent appetizer to order here. The staff are always nice and the service is 5 stars.

Today was a cold, chilly, and cloudy start to a rainy Memorial Day weekend. This place was not just a ray of sunshine. It was a fantastic meal to kick start a vacation.

After taking our drink order, our server brought a basket of hot Hush Puppies sprinkled with powdered sugar and scoops of fresh butter. Absolutely delicious and they were enjoyed as we perused their extensive menu.

We ordered their broiled local Shrimp and their Fried Seafood Trio with Shrimp, Scallops and Oysters. All of the seafood was spectacular. Our sides included a baked potato and sauteed Zucchini, both very good, and French fries which were unfortunately, nothing to write home about.

The hostesses were cordial and delightful, and our waiter was congenial and helpful. The decor was beautiful and inviting, and even the restrooms were clean and well maintained.

It's a crowded parking lot, so come early and enjoy some awesome local seafood.

First time eating here in years . This a clean comfortable and delicious place . Had the special Bananas Foster this morning. Probably the best French toast ( other than my homemade) I had in a while, not just a quick dip. Really nice atmosphere. Love all my beach restaurants but Millers is up there with atmosphere and CLEAN!! Prices were really reasonable also. Definitely will be back

Tried Miller’s for the first time during a quick trip to the Outer Banks for the 1st time. OMG if you get a chance to visit you must try the homemade hush puppies. It’s like eating funnel cake bites. They are a treat in themselves! I had the chicken Alfredo it was really good and husband had the steak and it was fixed perfectly and full of flavor. We will definitely go back. We also tried their breakfast the next morning and it was just as wonderful as their dinner was!

Nice local family owned restaurant. The hush puppies are the best, and you want to fill up on them — but don’t. There is more to come. Had the crab stuffed flounder. Excellent. Had no room but took a chocolate to go. Definitely on a list of must go places.

Highly Recommend. Went today with a party of 13. They advised we show up at 5pm which we did and got right in. Server was awesome. Drinks were always full and everyone's order was correct. One person had a shellfish allergy and they accommodated them. Food came out promptly and everything tasted amazing. I got the special Tomahawk Steak and wow soo good. All steaks and all seafood was cooked perfectly.

We ate here for dinner Saturday night and had a great experience! Our server was fabulous! I can't remember his name but initials were MW. He's a student at Virginia Tech and was so sweet taking the time to speak with us a bit about college. He was so attentive and friendly! He has a bright future in marketing management as he already slays in the food industry. Our food was delicious! I got a steak that had a yummy garlic butter on top. With mashed potatoes and apple sause as my sides. I know apple sause sounds kinda funny to go with steak but MAN it was so good! My husband got the seafood broil that came with flounder, scallops, shrimp and crab cake. He also had brocolli salad and a loaded baked potatoe for his sides. He said everything was really good. We finished it off with a piece of Reeses cheesecake that was *chefs kiss* it wasn't too peanut buttery like some desserts can be. You could still taste the cheesecake if that makes sense. We will definitely eat here again the next time we vacation in the Outer Banks!

We decided to have our dinner here on our last day in OBX. I tell you didn’t disappoint and me and my husband were delighted about the food we ordered. I ordered fried scallops and shrimp with a side of coleslaw and fries, loved it!! My husband ordered steak with a side of baked potato and fries (talk about potato overload🤣) and I had a taste it tasted sooo good too. We ordered the carrot cake, it was too sweet for me but it taste good and it’s the right amount of softness and a little gooey 😅 They also served the hushpuppies first and I was so happy with it coz it reminded me of a childhood snack I had before. Maria, our server, was so good and very attentive! Definitely recommend this place!👏🏼

Miller's Seafood was highly recommended to us by a friend of ours, so of course, we had to pay them a visit. Seafood and Steak, that's a combo that will get me anytime.

The Food: Hush puppies were served as an appetizer, and they were endless!! The hushpuppies were huge and was made perfectly! Probably one of the best I've had to be honest. But for my main entree, I got the "Surf and Turf". The New York strip was cooked perfectly to the temperature I requested, and the crab cake I chose had a good amount of crab filling inside. Overall a very good meal!

The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and attentive all the time. No complaints. Especially for waiting our large group of 8.

The Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean and well put together. Plenty of seating to go around.

Overall, a 5/5! Food was delicious and staff were friendly! Highly recommend coming here and giving Miller's a try. I'll be back the next time I'm in OBX.
