Taco Tuesday! Plaza Azteca was recommended to me by some friends, so I figured I’d try some hard shell tacos. I ordered five beef tacos, a chicken tamale, and an order of black beans. Everything was outstanding. Even though the tacos were only a dollar, there were plenty of fixings and meat inside of them. I highly recommend this restaurant for either dining in or takeout.

Plaza Azteca was quite possibly the best Mexican food I've ever eaten! All 5 of us didn't speak for at least 20 minutes. All I heard was "mmnn.. wow.. yum. ." And sounds of eating with pleasure. THAT is how lunch should be. Always!! Great atmosphere, staff, cleanliness, cold beer, prices, food, and efficiency. I highly recommend it!!

Grace Food, great service. Dog friendly patio, they always do their best to accommodate you whether you have one or 10 in your group.

Delicious supper.. The ribeye tacos and shrimp tacos were very very good... The service and the presentation were excellent as well.

fabulous meal huge servings of absolutely delicious food. Staff was very responsive and quick to attend to our needs Food came out lightning quick cooked to perfection, and so tasty. Definitely recommend one of the best meals we had while visiting OBX.

I craved Mexican food while visiting OBX and decided to give Azteca a try for take out. Simply put, I was impressed. Friendly service, ready right on time and hot, plentiful dish with fresh ingredients (the enchiladas were loaded with great tasty meat)...came with house prepared nachos and salsa. Only reason I gave it less than 5 stars for its atmosphere is that I wasn't there long enough to really experience it... looks very nice, though. Repeat? YES!

I ordered the spinach and chicken enchiladas last night and I’m pretty sure I had an out of body experience. I bit into it not expecting anything crazy and was just sipping on an el patron that was also good, and man. Those enchiladas seared themselves into a core memory. Props to the chef big time. Service was great too, food took maybe 5 minutes to come out?

Came in on a Friday night and was seated right away. The service was pretty good. The food was great and the prices are reasonable. It's worth a try.

Decided to take a shot since it's dog friendly. Our dog was very welcome on the back deck (which is covered and was great bc it was raining). 2 of the servers were a little scared of him, but to be fair, he's a 112lb black gsd. But I digress. Our server was great. Very friendly and attentive. I had the mexican fried rice with veggies, and it tasted like mac and cheese and risotto had a baby. Absolutely delicious. BF had Carne asada tacos and said they were amazing. Dad had steak fajitas and enjoyed them. I tried the rice and beans from my bf, and they were good. It was reasonably priced. I will say the salsa they give you with chips was only so so, but everything else was great!

Food was delicious and authentic, the staff are very welcoming, friendly,helpful with the menu. I have been a fan of Plaza Azteca for awhile. The menu has a large variety of options to choose from and the staff are always helpful. The atmosphere is fun to be in,save room for dessert 😋

Me and my family eat here 4/2/2024 @ 5 pm .. we had a wonderful waitress and the food was amazing . The drinks were on point !!! plenty to take home !!! If coming to the Otterbanks stop here you won’t be disappointed :)

My husband and I ate here on our last night of vacation at OBX. We had fajitas for two and was it ever yummy . Our server was so kind and checked on us multiple times throughout our dinner. Highly recommend 😁

What a great find. A really great Mexican restaurant at the beach. We had great service and the food was really great. Zero complaints from my bunch. Not we expected at all. Will definitely eat here again on any trip back to the outerbanks. Make sure to make this a spot for birthdays too. It was the best and loudest way to sing happy birthday I've ever had the pleasure to witness.

Cant say enough good things about this place! Best service ever; I was amazed at how fast our drinks, appetizers, and entrees all came out after ordering. The OMG Nachos appetizer could have been an entree all by itself, it’s massive and to DIE for!!! My husband and I got the Fajitas for Two and it was absolutely delicious and very filling. Definitely want to dine here again!

Food was good, hot and fresh. Wait staff was knowledgeable of menu items and most of the time was there for any refills or necessary items. We sat outside and enjoyed our visit. Accessible to wheelchair and other special needs for entrances as well as restroom accommodations. Prices are reasonable and there was ample parking.

Excellent food and service. Quick seating despite a packed parking lot. Continued quick service even refilling our chips and salsa before we even finished the bowl. Prices were cheap for such large portions and high quality food.

Excellent food and service. I enjoyed every moment. I definitely recommend this place to try at least one time. They offer complementary chips and salsa that are really yummy. The chicken and shrimp fajitas are so good. Be aware during dinner time since the restaurant is not that big and has a high demand is possible that the restaurant will be at top capacity and have the need to wait for seating. Excellent place with great ambient.

My wife and I went for a date night here at Plaza Azteca. I got the "Burrito Texano" she the "Baja Fish Tacos". The service was very friendly, attentive, and prompt. Food came out real quick. So delicious! Thanks for a wonderful experience. I wish I could remember our waitress' name. She really was very professional.
